I'm making a separate post so it's easier to find, and I thought I'd share what I discovered.

It's pretty self explanatory that image XD. But yeah it seems there are two areas in that one texture for the tips of manes.

The near middle is for the "bulkier" manes. And the actual tips are for the "fuzzy/fluffy" manes.

Thats the mane 'mask' You need the actual mane texture to colour properly, its found in the Feral Hearts folder: Media: textures: fmanetexture.

Yeah :B

However, the only issue with that is, if you colour that mane texture it will show up on everyone else.
For example, back in IT if you recoloured/textured an item, that recoloured texture would show up on everyone else who had that item.
With this method I'm pretty sure that it won't happen, as it's part of the preset.

Thats mane texture IS part of the preset.
What you have is a mask thats put on top.

8D no probs
