Hey, so I've been searching through help forums for quite some time now and am still unable to figure out how to resolve this.
I just re-downloaded FH.. But whenever I go to launch the game, I get a sync interface screen which I can easily bypass but then I am met with a black screen. This screen lingers for a moment but then disappears and the game doesn't launch... I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times and am still at a loss.

Did you check your particles folder for any duplicates (_1, _0)? They would be in FeralHeart > media > particles. Be sure to delete those duplicate files if they are there. Sometimes those can cause crashing and sometimes silly things can cause them to appear. Restart after you delete them. c:

I have checked and found no duplicates... I've even tried regedit to fix some things that may prevent exe from working but it just won't go past the setup screen.

Try this:
Try going into Local Disk(C:)\FeralHeart then you should see a .config file named 'ogre'. Open that up in Notepad and replace all of it with this:

Colour Depth=32
Display Frequency=N/A
FSAA=0
Full Screen=No
RTT Preferred Mode=FBO
VSync=No
VSync Interval=1
Video Mode=1280 x 800
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No
[Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem]
Allow NVPerfHUD=No
FSAA=None
Floating-point mode=Fastest
Full Screen=No
VSync=No
Video Mode=800 x 600 @ 32-bit colour
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No
Once you have done that, save it and relaunch FeralHeart :)

If you have any markings, items or presets already installed, make sure create a copy of that.

Hm that’s weird..
You don’t have any mods, markings, items, presets or anything at all installed?
And have you tried the download from Bawfle that I posted on the bottom as well?

Yes I have, I'm really confused... I know my computer can open exe files because I did a regedit to fix it for windows 10 and I have no extras installed for the game. Do you have a discord? Perhaps I could share my screen with you and show you exactly whats going on because maybe you can spot an issue I may have overlooked.

Was this solved? What do you mean by "sync interface", like preset sync (that shouldn't show up at all with a clean install)?

You need to have the Login page open while you play the game:

I created a map the other day an exported it now my game wont start up is there a way i can fix that? ive tired re-installing the game twice used replaced the "orge" file an still nothing

Heya Wayward, check your particles folder just in case your export added extra files to the folder because sometimes it can be a butt! You would ahieve this by going to FeralHeart > media > particles and checking for anything with an underscore at the end (_0) and make sure to delete them and reload! c:

Hello! Next time instead of commenting on someone else's Help Thread, you should create your own. Doing that will help keep things organized. =)

Esarosa i fixed that problem but now when i get to my character select it freezes then crashes the game completely what do i do about that
