Introduction / Never gonna give you up
« on: November 28, 2020, 01:40:06 am »
never gonna let you down.

Helloooo, I've decided to return to FeralHeart entirely even though I may not be as active as I once was.
You may remember my leaving thread a few months back stating that I wont be returning but hey, I've found
myself lurking these forums every so often so I've decided to return to the game as a whole. Once you join FH, it's
like a growth that never goes away. Be it for better or worse (jk)
So, How've things been around here?  ;-D

Leaving / Signing out.
« on: July 28, 2020, 11:02:05 pm »
Hello, friends. I never thought that I was going to make such a thread but here I am. Due to recent events alongside
my own personal reasoning I will be leaving this game of FeralHeart and moving completely to FHU/FNxFH as I am temporary staff and focusing on such.
Now, I have no ill nature towards this server, please keep that in mind. I respect you all and your own wishes.

It just is not for me anymore.

To staff, I wish you the best of luck with moderating this community, building a better system and future game updates.
To members, good luck and have fun in the coming years.

Now, Ive been in this community since I was 11, in 5th grade. Im 20 now. WOW, time really does fly.
It was an amazing past 8 years sharing the fun of this little game with you all. I really enjoyed every bit of the countless all-nighters Id spend on this game
and the insane sparkledog randomness.

Although I am completely leaving this game, I will still check up on these forums sometimes.
So, that being said.
Goodbye guys and remember....

Game Help / FeralHeart crashing: Windows 10
« on: January 28, 2020, 12:09:19 am »
I recently updated my desktop to Windows 10 and installed FeralHeart on it.
Each time I try to open the game, it shows the black screen (after the cmd) and then crashes. No typical Kovuworks logo or anything. Just black, then crash.
The ogre prompt sometimes shows up but only has Open option, not Direct.
This is the first time I've encountered this issue with FH on any system running Win10.

I've tried searching through previous help threads and nothing seems to work.
(It isn't my Antivirus and reinstalling doesn't help)
I do think my drivers are all up to date, but if not - which driver would effect it?

Does anyone know of a solution?

(PC model: Inspirion 560
*Previously running Windows 7)

Note: I am having some issues with downloading security updates, if that possibly has any effect on applications
Discord does work properly, however.
DirectX IS installed, too.

Miscellaneous Tutorials / A Xubuntu User's Guide to FeralHeart!
« on: May 09, 2019, 08:04:53 pm »

Are you an Xubuntu user? Maybe even an Ubuntu user? No matter your preference there is an easy way
to install FeralHeart onto your system without using the bloated PlayOnLinux. Shall we get started?

PART ONE: THE GAME

Step 1 - Install Wine

- Open up your terminal and write the following command
                    sudo apt-get install wine64
- Accept anything that it asks and it should be installed or
enter your password

Step 2 - Download the game

- Go onto the downloads page and click "setup". The game will start downloading.
Once downloading. It will appear as an .exe setup file in your downloads.

Step 3 - Install it

- Open up your terminal once again and type "wine"
- Now drag the .exe into the terminal and it will show the location next to "wine"
- Click enter
- The FH install wizard will pop up. Begin installation as normal.

Step 4 - Play the game

- Congratulations. You now how FeralHeart installed on your system. There should be a desktop
icon ready for you to click and play. If not, travel into your "Home" folder and navigate to ".wine"
in there you will fine a C drive folder and that is where you will find the files for FeralHeart including
the application itself.
-Some errors/lag may occur but can be easily fixed within the game
(ie- disabling water reflection and distance)

PART TWO: MODIFICATIONS

So you want to install fancy markings and textures, eh? It's super simple. No WinRar trials required.

Step 1 - Downloading your mod of choice
   - Download your mod, texture, etc and watch it appear as a .zip file in your Downloads folder.
   - In this example we are downloading a eye texture pack. Inside of it, there is a "Eyes Folder"

Step 2 - Open the .zip by double clicking it

Step 3 - On a separate window navigate to the location of your FeralHeart folder
       - Navigate to the Masks folder

Step 4 - Dragging and Dropping, replace all
      - Highlight all of the files in the "Eyes" folder and copy and then paste them into the
Masks folder of FeralHeart.

Step 5 - Congratulations!
     - Just like in Windows, you have properly installed new textures to FeralHeart!

Did I miss a step? Did it not work for you? Please comment below, or PM me, and I will be happy
to assist, or make changes to my tutorial. I'm only human!

Characters / Morqque's Entry
« on: March 03, 2019, 08:20:35 pm »

Name: Shaman Kuro-Shi
Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Species: Wolf-Demon Hybrid
Appearance: Standing at a surprising 6-feet tall. Kuro-Shi is a mahogany colored canid with glowing tan
skeletal markings and blind eyes. His most prominent feature are his antlers, which are decorated with
tiny rodent skulls.
Personality: He is the wise type. Preferring to keep to himself and his practices. He only socializes
when he absolutely needs to. Despite seeming aloof and reserved, he will interfere with quarrels to
solve them himself...only to then leave the area. He is not one for violence despite being half-demon.

Background: Kuro-Shi is a shamanic creature of demonic descent in which allows him to conjure familiars to do his
bidding, or work for him. Due to this, he is also able to negotiate and control spirits at will. Though, he mainly uses this
particular power to calm spirit activity.

Other Games / KovuLKD`s Works
« on: December 24, 2018, 08:10:55 am »
After a quick google search of Kovus artwork I came across some interesting screenshots
of what seems to be a game he had worked on before Impressive Title, or obviously Feral Heart, where in the picture.

I find it amusing that some of the comments point out that he could be a great game developer haha.
I just thought it would be cool to share this with you guys.

There is also a lot more of his drawn artwork located on this site

Other Games / Warframe
« on: December 06, 2018, 11:30:18 pm »

I think it's finally time I've brought this masterpiece of a game to the table.
Ahhh, yes. Warframe. A game about space ninja robot aliens...(no, no you are dead wrong. It is not what you think in any way..), grinding, angry armies, space mothers, annoying cephalons; plot holes; and muting the region chat. In my eyes, the most creative and tear-jerking game I have ever had the pleasure of spending 100+ hours on. And, it's all free.
Here's the official website
So how many of you have played this game? What is your favorite frame? What is your favorite load out? How about weapon? What platform do you play on? Feel free to share screenshots as well! Anything goes. NO SPOILERS

As for me.
I currently play on PS4 and my all time favorite Warframes are Valkyr and Nekros. I'm solely melee based and rarely use primary and secondary
weapons as I find it draining. I'm a hack-and-slash fan.
Feel free to add my PSN! It's Vomitoriium
My Screenshots

This was my first frame of course. Excalibur. He was amazing though and I still use him on some missions

My Nekros! I sold those guns....

Game Help / FeralHeart, and Ubuntu
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:34:48 pm »

I would have replied in this topic but it was locked.

I plan on wiping my current OS, which is Windows 10 and replacing it with Ubuntu. Now, would
FeralHeart be able to run on the current version of Ubuntu and if so, how do I go about do it?
I am aware of what application needs to be downloaded, but apparently it changed -  I would like to be walked through the
steps on what to do or at least >tldr, heres a video go away.

Discussion Board / Sites similar to Charahub?
« on: October 11, 2018, 06:13:18 pm »
Due to the recent events with, and consistent bugs with Charahub I've decided to move on from it.
I cannot use toyhouse, as I dont have a code for it. And a while ago on Deviantart I saw a furry character hosting site that would allow
you to choose colors from a color wheel - dont remember what is was callled but I would like to know the name of it. But if none can...
What are some sites that are similar to Charahub? Ones where I can keep all of my characters logged as a sort of biography page?
