In the past a number of threads have been brought up featuring various opinions and ideas in regards to the Feral Heart forum/site. We’ve taken the time to create this official survey to collect all the forum/site related feedback in one easily referable spot for the staff. All answers are anonymous and everyone is welcome to participate. We want to continue to make the best of your FH experience so help us with your feedback! :) We are very excited to see what you all have to say!

Keep in mind that this survey is timeless and will remain up forever but may be updated within need. If you have any additional questions or suggestions about the survey feel free to post them below! We ask that you remain respectful and constructive with your responses.

New survey up!

Just to explain things a bit since I notice a number of you mention how long this forum update thing and just staff attention to it has taken.

I think we all agree that it has taken long.

Staff are all in the same boat with you and are just as eager to see it updated and looking swanky. Thing is that ever since the first update sometime back, we never got to follow up on working on it because other things came up that took priority, example patches, certain incidents, events, contests, parties, streams, on top of the small staff team juggling their personal lives and struggles while balancing time for all these other things. Life happens, time flies by and before you know it something you put on the side that you thought you’d get to soon has ended up getting pushed back further than you initially intended. Since the forum worked and looked decent enough we also didn’t put the amount of stress that we do with other projects. Keep in mind that Raz himself is the only individual who can really start and facilitate the actual forum update. The rest of the staff don’t have the amount of access he does to be able to simply change things, nor would we really know how without his guidance. Outside of that most of the staff didn’t feel confident enough in their personal skills with designing the site etc. We had reached out to other sources to help us with certain aspects of the site designing but they either didn’t come through or ended up having to drop out of the planned project simply because again, life happened or things didn’t work out. This matter has only recently again been mentioned and we are hoping to finally be able to give it the attention it’s deserved for a while now. We have to keep in mind though that this can only happen once Raz has acquired the time to focus his energies to it amongst many other things he’s got to manage both for FH and outside it. The site/forum itself needs some back end work and updating by Raz to bring it up to par before the actual aesthetic design part of it can be done.

In the meantime while we hopefully get this project on it’s legs again this survey’s responses will help guide us with our future work as we take in your valuable feedback.

Thank you all for your continued support and patience with everything <3

Filled it out! I think the general consensus is more that the visuals aren't great, but the functionality seems to be fine.

I'm probably asking a question thats probably had been answered in Sura previous explanation but, is Raz the only one who will be revamping or there's other people who are going to be involved?

Yes others will be involved, especially in the initial planning of things and most of the aesthetic designing etc. Raz will do the bulk of the code/back end upgrading however. Raz’s work will then bring the forum to the most up to date version which will hopefully allow the others work to be compatible and implemented. Any other add ons are up to him. Raz is the one who will finalize everything.

Thank you everyone who has submitted to the survey so far! The responses are great.

All dots will go to xSpirit’s profile instead ;)

^ I was also wondering that, so thank you! By any chance in the future would staff look towards accept volunteer legitimate designers to help with the site aesthetically? Certain adjustments can be made in programs meant for website development that could just be made live so Raz would not have to individually do the dirty work himself. Plus if something comes up to be unfavorable, things can just be rolled back.

I think getting more people involved here would relieve a lot of unnecessary stress on Raz's side, however it is understandable if this is reserved for only current staff. Still I personally feel it is in the best interest to get more people that can aid with actual editing involved, rather than concept design.

In the past when Red was around we had discussed recruiting some familiar reliable but outside sources to assist with the forum design. In fact one of the sources considered was an artist who assisted with the textures on Zama Grotto’s walls. As for present day, I myself have no qualms about recruiting outside sources as well as the other staff, however that decision is not up to us alone but Raz himself if he sees it fit and necessary. For the time being it will be managed amongst the staff until further notice. Even if the staff are the ones working exclusively on this project it will not be without careful consideration to the community’s requests and ideas. While we can not promise every single request will be forfilled I can assure you that we will try our very best to do so. This survey is the start in the process, so thank you all for your continued cooperation and time <3

I know its too early to ask...when will the forum update happen?

Because there will be several hands on board for this I can’t give you any ETAs. I know that might be a frustrating answer for some, but it really comes down to them and their schedules of working on things. All I can say for now is that this survey is a start and it’s responses are of great value as the process begins. <3

With the recent changes to the forum boards we’d love to hear feedback from you all <3 We hope the improvements we’ve made help to make things easier to navigate and feel a bit less cluttered. Thank you for all the useful feedback up until now!

*Cracks fingers*

I am loving the recent changes to the forums, and I'm grateful for how hard you're all working to bring it back to life. I love how the text for the navigation "Home" "Search" "Profile" etc bar's colours have been changed to match not only the top nav bar, but the colours of the link texts on the original forums; it gives me a sort of nostalgic feeling. I like how the profile info on user's posts are centred, looks much neater. The rank names crack me up, they're hilarious, you guys are very creative lul.

As for the dots, rest in peace, you'll always be a part of FH forums history.

I just want to add that I'm always appreciative of the staffers work and dedication to FH. I've noticed many users are either being impatient, demanding and just nitpicking at you guys for absolutely everything, and it makes me frustrated. You've all done exceptional work at keeping FH on its feet, delivering updates, new content, and trying your hardest to meet everyone's expectations. Even when you were without the source code, you still did your best to make a difference, and there are those of us who do notice it, and are very thankful. Everyday I'm filled with gratitude that FH is still going, and I honestly didn't think I'd be here after so long. But its now become my safe place, and a second family. I think I speak for other users too when I say that, because I know there are those who feel a similar way.

Thank you all for all your hard work over these past many years, and don't let anyone make you feel unsure/uncertain effort you've put in, or like you're not doing enough for FH and its community. It hasn't been overlooked.

Wooping in.
This is a very helpful and lovely change, no doubts, this shows staff really shows love community and want the best for us. What I most like is the separation of the site help and game help threads so they are more visible and peeps don't get confused reading the smol words. I don't really have any nuisance with the changes and just say thank you! you did a delightful work and I am attentive with future updates.

What can I say? The forum update is brilliant. The new forum layout is cleaner. Ranks... Well, Poligrip is not the peak of my dreams, but when I look at others, I choke on laughter, LoL. Topping up the posts to the counter, although inadvertently, was a nice touch after all. I am very pleased to look at the boards because it will be easier for new people to get into this. It's nice to see a breath of freshness in the forum sometimes, so I have to admit: Feral Heart staff, you are amazing. You do so much for the community, and because I hold a glass of juice in my hand (who knows, maybe it is Polgrip?), I wanted to toast to the staff, but I think by the way for each member of this wonderful community.

As for the dots... I missed them a little, but this is not the time to return. So toast and dots.
