Title: Height map not working
Post by: Kitterr on April 25, 2020, 09:33:17 am: When I enter the file name of the heightmap, after a bit of loading FH crashes. Idk what could be causing it. I've also checked the log file, it just says:
Capabilities:: VertexProgram: YES
Capabilities:: FragmentProgram: YES
Sound:: Initialized: YES
ERROR::SaveFile:loadz: WaterMillGates.cfg failed!

Post by: Aico on April 25, 2020, 10:06:06 am: Hi! Try making sure your heightmap is a PNG, 513x513 pixels, & greyscale. If all fails, then it may have something to do with your game maybe? I'm not so sure. :(

Post by: Dark_heart on April 25, 2020, 10:14:58 am: Make sure the shades of gray do not have any color. It may also depend on the program you are making the map in. The best is GIMP.

Post by: Kitterr on April 25, 2020, 10:27:08 am: To both: I'm using GIMP, since It's my main art program. It's in grayscale mode and 513 x 513 pixels, and it's a png. So it's with my game.

Yes, though I did have a second layer at some point bc it wasn't blurring, I merged that down. And even if I use a heightmap that was only ever 1 layer, it still crashes! And I never have the alpha channel on, its also as flat as it can be.
