Title: Elements (next chapters here!)
Post by: Dark_heart on April 14, 2020, 09:48:43 pm
Admission
Once upon a time, at a time when the oldest wolves don't remember, two wolf tribes lived. First Light, second Darkness. They lived in harmony up to a point. The Dark tribe she-wolf and the Light tribe wolf fell in love. But tribal leaders found out and war broke out. A very bloody war. In the end, only leaders remained on the battlefield. They decided to bring to life the elements - Air and Water were to fight on the side of light, while Fire and Earth on the side of darkness. However, they did not intend to fight. They decided to live in harmony. Air and Water united as one tribe. Fire and Earth did the same. They have taken the form of wolves and have lived in them until now in Aella Land - the land of harmony and forest.

Chapter 1
In Julie emotions were buzzing. The elders always told her that she would go far, but to be the leader of the pack of Fire and Earth?! She was happy, terrified, but above all surprised. After all, she has never been ... important. And all of a sudden, an owl living on an ancient tree on the borders of territories landed on her shoulder. It was unambiguous. Now she had to walk over the Lava River. This is a kind of attempt. It is believed that if the future ruler is a traitor, the bridge will collapse under him. He also believes in the transformation of future leaders. Apparently, they gain supernatural power over the elements from their pack. And now she'll find out if it's true - testing it herself.

Chapter 2
She stood in front of the bridge. The Lava River shone unnaturally strongly beneath it. The bridge itself was hardly what she had imagined. More like a footbridge. Still, it was terrifying. She set her paw gently. She looked at the bridge. It stretched for about half a kilometer. Besides, she had to come back. She looked at the river. She felt dizzy. She closed her eyes. She opened. She put her paw down again. And again. She walked across the bridge in small steps. After a while she looked back. But she didn't see the part of the bridge what she traveled there. Her fur color caught her attention. It was dark red before. It darkened now. Blood-red spots have become sharp. She also felt somehow... different. But she wasn't on the bridge now.

Chapter 3
Darkness surrounded her. She saw nothing. She felt nothing. But she was fully aware. Suddenly she noticed a bonfire. A few rocks by the fire. She came over there. Or the fire came to her? Everything was strange here. Suddenly the rocks and fire merged. They turned into lava, which began to flow towards her. She wanted to escape, but lava surrounded her from all sides. Suddenly she was on dry land, the territory of Fire and Earth. She stood parallel to the river. Wolves from her pack were heading toward her.
"You did it!"shouted her friend Dernial.
"Yes, but I must take a nap now..." Julie yawned.

Chapter 4
Julie woke up to a strange smell. It was dark around. She decided to investigate it. The trail led to the eastern border.
"It is the smell of a foreign clan!" she thought.
She decided to go back and inform the other wolves. Then, escorted by the strongest, she followed. The smell grew stronger.
She recognized three wolves: two from the Wind Clan and one from the Water Clan. The latter was the strongest. After a moment she saw them.
"What are you doing here?" she asked coldly.
"We ... ehm ... were looking ..."
Wolves were scared
"Have you been looking for animals?!" shouted Garin, the strongest of the pack.
"You shouldn't be here." added Julie.
"But we ... really ..."
"Get out of here!" Julie barked and bared her shiny teeth.
"Stay" growled the one from the Water Clan. "Devilish children
 will not command us!"
The fight began.

Chapter 5
Garin threw himself at the wolf of the Water Clan. Julie joined him. The rest of the wolves in her pack began fighting with two wolves from the Wind Clan. However, they did not fight long - the opponents quickly retreated. Only the wolf from the Water Clan stayed and fought for a while. Suddenly the opponent hit Julie on the head. She staggered backwards. Garin, seeing it furiously, ran his claws on the back of the intruder. This one fell over. He gave up fighting and just lay panting heavily.
"What shall we do with him?" asked Julie.
"Let's kill him." one warrior said. "He betrayed eternal law, and he offended our Clan!"
"Maybe you'd better take him hostage?" Garin suggested.
"What is your name?" Julie turned to the intruder.
"Janama..." he wheezed.
"Let's take him. I'll talk to him later." said Julie.

Chapter 6
Julie was walking back to the cave. Janama walked on his own, but sometimes he had to stop or lean on someone.
Finally they came. They stopped outside.
"Leave us alone" asked Julie.
The rest of her pack obediently moved away.
"Why did you enter our territory?" she began. "You know that you violated the eternal law, and offended the nations of Fire and Earth?"
"Devilish children are an insult? It is true." Janama growled ironically.
Julie felt a shiver of anger.
"You allow yourself too much!" she hissed. "This is not true. We are not the children of the devil, just as you are not angels."
"Yeah, right."
"Why did you come here?" she asked.
Janama calmed down.
"Well ... uh ..."
"Just tell the truth," Julie warned him.
"We ... we wanted to see what your territory looks like ..."
"I'm a leader and I know when someone is lying."
"You ... are you the leader?"
His face changed. And suddenly ... it just melted away.
Julie understood. It was the leader of the Water and Wind Nation!

Chapter7
Julie decided to inform all the wolves about it.
"It was a trick. Janama wanted to meet the leader of this herd. And by the way he saw where our cave is." Julie was speaking.
"I said, you had to kill him right away!" shouted that brutal warrior - Hasel.
"It's betrayal!" screamed Garin.
"There will be war," whispered Dernial.
Julie didn't like the turn of the matter. War? The leader was judged for how many wars he waged (if any). If war breaks out now, the fact that the tribe will suffer unimaginable losses, then history mixes everything up and it turns out that it will cause war. However, the good of the pack was important,
"Let's wait one day. If you notice the intruders, there will be war," she only said, then turned and walked away. Dernial followed her.

Chapter 8
Dernial was a rather scared wolf, so Julie was surprised to hear:
"I think we need to prepare for this war. What are you going to do?"
"I haven't thought about it yet ..." Julie muttered. "You must definitely take only strong, healthy and fairly young wolves to war."
"What if we lose?"
"Don't even think so! There is no such option. Elements are balance. If the forces are evenly distributed, there will be a tie."
"Let's hope nobody betrays us ..." he whispered.
"Do you suspect something? I didn't notice anything ..."
Suddenly there was a furious howl. Bad premonitions haunted them. They went out to see what happened.
"Intruders!" shouted Hasel.
She closed her eyes. Already? Really so fast? Why?
"Lead" she whispered to Hasel.

Chapter 9
Hasel set a fast pace. All uncertainty escaped Julie. She just wanted revenge. For cheating. For meanness. And for insulting. Suddenly Hasel stopped. He bared his teeth. He, just like the rest of the pack, noticed resting white wolves. They talked about something. Hasel was about to pounce on them, but Julie stopped him.
"Let's hear what they are talking about" she hissed.
Everyone blew their ears.
"It's all right. No reason to worry. If it goes on like this, these demons will give us back their territories by surrendering!" Janama laughed slyly. The rest of the wolves nodded slightly.
Julie was suprised. It is known that the wolves of the Water and Wind Nation are calm, but these here ... they were probably afraid of Jamana. Seeing that they didn't feel like conquering territories.
"They are not demons ..." a puppy muttered quietly.
"SILIENCE!" Janama shouted. The terrified puppy fled into the bushes.
Julie watched them for a moment. Then she turned to talk to her pack. However, she did not know that someone was behind them ...

Chapter 10
Julie froze in terror. Behind the warriors stood the same puppy that Janama shouted at. She thought he was about to inform his packet, but he only approached them curiously.
"What are you doing here?" he asked in a whisper. "Do you know that you are on our territory? I mean ... I think."
Hasel was about to say something, but Julie stopped him.
"It just so happens that you're on ours. I don't want to be nosy, but why are you here?" she whispered.
"Well ..." the puppy became sad. "Janama said we were going hunting. I thought it was part of our territory that I don't know so well yet ... but the smells are actually different ..."
"Okay, so tell Janama that there is a volcano nearby that will explode, okay?"
"Okay."
"And you better not say we're here."
Julie watched the puppy return to the camp.

Chapter 11
News of the volcano worked well. Janama cursed quietly and then ordered a retreat.
"If I see any white wolf again, I swear I'll tear him apart!" Hasel growled after a moment.
"It's not their fault," Julie replied. "Haven't you noticed? These wolves are just afraid of Janama, whom they can't resist."
Garin and Hasel exchanged glances.
"I don't think you can trust them," Garin muttered.
Julie raised an eyebrow.
"I am not saying that we are to ally with them right away."
"But that's how it sounded," Hasel snapped.
"Stop!" shouted Dernial and several other warriors.
"Let's set. If you meet any wolf from the Wind or Water clan, you can chase him. I repeat: CHEASE him. Don't kill." she looked at Hasel. "But if you meet Janama, you have the right to pounce on him. That's my decision."

Chapter 12
Julie was lying in her lair. She thought about Hasel's reaction. Well, it's similar to him. But this exchange of looks with Garin ... after all, Garin was not like that.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the entrance of one of the puppies.
"Ehmmm ... good morning ..." he muttered uncertainly.
"Hello," she answered gently. "What are you doing here?"
"Because I... I saw..."
The puppy took a deep breath.
"I heard you say about the wolves of the Water and Wind pack ... that we shouldn't hurt them ... but I saw two warriors who clawed at a pregnant she-wolf walking on the border."
Julie frowned.
"Do you know the names of these warriors?"
"It seems to me that one is Hasel and the other... I don't remember but probably on G."
"Good. Thank you for reporting. You can leave."
The puppy nodded obediently. Julie went back to her thoughts. She almost fell asleep when she suddenly realized that the warrior who had broken the ban was Garin! Like a boomerang, Dernial's words came back to her: "Let us hope that nobody will betray us..."
Julie jumped up from the lair.

Chapter 13
Julie jumped out as if she was burned. She immediately ran to the lair of Garin, Hasel and Dernial. She found Dernial there.
"Dernial. Dernial, wake up!"
"What... Garin, get off..."
He opened one eye. At the sight of the leader immediately stood up.
"What happened?" he murmured a little sleepy yet.
"Where are Hasel and Garin ?!"
"Well, here..." he pointed to the empty bed. "Or not."
They ran out of the cave immediately. Dernial quickly caught a fresh lead. The trail led north toward the border. They reached the border, but did not dare to cross it. Suddenly Julie noticed two black wolves walking side by side with Janama.

Chapter 14
Julie is furious. Garin and Hasel were her friends. Yes, strange, it's true, but still friends. She growled softly. However, Dernial silenced her. He wanted to eavesdrop on what they were talking about.
"And this Julie, doesn't she suspect anything?" Janama asked.
"No, she is rather chosen by the Great Owl for no idea. Not for a wise leader, at any rate," Garin replied.
All three laughed.
"Go for the strongest warriors. I will stay here. When you come, you are waiting for my sign in these bushes." Julie pointed to a large patch of shrubs.
"Do you want to stay here ?! And how do they smell you? What will you do then?" terrified Dernial flooded her with questions.
"I will improvise," she replied. "Now run, quickly!"
Dernial nodded and sprinted toward the cave.
Julie raised her ear.
"So where are your army hosts?" Hasel growled distrustfully.
"What are they talking about" Julie thought.
And then she saw hundreds of white wolves leaning out from behind the snowy bushes.
"Lead to caves!" laughed Janama.
"No" thought Julie. "No no no!"
They wanted to kill a pack of Fire and Earth!

Chapter 15
Julie decided to meet them. He must stop them somehow.
"Well, well." she hissed bravely. "I could have guessed."
Hasel and Garin stood terrified. At first Janama just looked at their reaction, but after a moment of silence he also stood there.
Julie had no idea what they meant, but she bared her teeth. She also sensed that her pack wolves were standing right behind her. Dernial stood next to Julie.
"We trusted you ..." Tears leaked from his eyes.
The aura has changed. At first it was quite calm. But after a while animals came out from behind the bushes and trees. They were mainly white deer, rabbits and wild boars. It wouldn't be a big advantage in battle, but there were hordes of them. For this it will be difficult for them to fight in the snow, which covers the entire territory of the Wind and Water Clan.
But Julie has changed. There was fire in her eyes. Even if she dies, he'll do it for a pack. She didn't care anymore how history would tell about her.
"ATTACK!" she screamed.

I came back! Hope you like Julie's new fate?

Chapter 16
The animals lunged at each other. A great black and white storm began. Julie decided to take revenge on Hasel and Garina. She saw them withdrawn. In the end they decided to run away. Julie wasn't going to allow it.
"Wait, won't you say goodbye to me?" she sneered.
They both looked at her in horror. The fire was waking up in her. She felt it all over her body. In the end, she did what she always wanted as a child. She took fire. It was on fire. And she knew it well.
Hasel and Garin fled. They ran past the Holy Tree but suddenly stood paralyzed. The tree could not let traitors live. Not in Aella. They melted away. Nature sent them to the world of people as dogs.
Julie looked around. There was a massacre around. She managed to catch Dernial's scent. She looked this way. He fought with Janama. He losing. Julie immediately ran that way.

It's getting interesting  :P

Chapter 17
Dernial wrestled with Janama. Janama was a well-built, strong wolf. It was rather obvious that Dernial would lose. But Julie was already rushing. In places where she touched the snow with her paws, the snow turned into water vapor. The fire, fueled by the heat of hatred and pain, was very hot. She ran to Janama, then clawed at the shiny white fur. He howled with pain. He ran away a bit, but Julie wasn't going to leave it like this. In the place where he stood for a moment she made a circle of lava. He stood in the middle and had no way to move so as not to fall into the lava. All wolves froze looking at this scene.
Janama decided to jump.
"Idiot" Julie thought triumphantly.
But then Janama rose into the air. He wielded the elemental wind, so he could fly. What's more, he drew water from a nearby stream and poured it on Julie. It paralyzed her for a moment.
Janama flew on and began to help his warriors. Julie looked terrified at this scene. Her wolves fell dead or running away, lame, terrified and tired.

They losing.

Chapter 18
Julie contacted her wolves in sight.
"We're losing. It's over. Go and warn the rest of the pack."
The Dernial who stood next to her gave her a startled look.
"Do you want to back down now?" he whispered.
"Do you see any other way out?" she only replied. "There is real chaos around. The only thing we can do is gather the remaining wolves and flee to the edge."
Dernial fell silent when he heard it. Well, the most important thing is the good of the pack.
Julie sent the rest of the living wolves to run to the cave and return with all the pack members to her. But only Zaria came back to her - a young mother of several puppies. She was terrified, blood flowed from her paws.
"They... they reached... the cave... No one was left..." she gasped, then raised her eyes full of despair and unimaginable pain on Julie. "What shall we do?"
Julie lowered her head. She failed all along the line. Only Dernial, Zaria and a few warriors remained with her. The rest of the pack was lost, escaped or died.
"We're running away," she whispered.

Chapter 19
Julie felt terribly leading Zaira as the last wolf of the Fire Clan and Earth. Although, considering the other wolves, it wasn't her fault. Were it not for the two traitors, it would probably be possible to defeat Janama and peace would again come to Aella.

The edge is actually nothing but the abyss surrounding both territories. Legends say that this is where people live. Legend also says that the ghosts of all wolves roam on the Edge. If you can recall them, you can count on their help. And Julie was about to do it. But she meant one particular spirit.
She wanted to summon the ancient leader of the Pack of Darkness. She knew that he had made the mistake of fighting his brother to the last resort, but she knew that she would not let the pack die - after all - come from him.

Julie did not reveal her plans to the rest. Summoning ghosts is often a very risky undertaking. But she would have to tell them that anyway.
But so far nobody wanted to talk. Everyone was tired after the humiliating battle.
"Yes," Julie thought. "They won the battle. But they didn't win the war."

Chapter 20
Dernial woke up from sleep. It was the middle of the night. He didn't have a nightmare, he just sometimes woke up suddenly at night. He looked at the sky. The full moon shone like the sun.
Because he knew he would not sleep, he decided to talk to Julie. He found her sitting on a rock nearby.
"Are you awake too?" he whispered. It took a moment for him to realize how stupid the question was. How would she sleep if she was sitting on a rock?
Julie seemed to read his thoughts because she looked at him a bit amused.
"I meditate," she answered quietly. "I intend to communicate with the spirit of a pack of darkness."
She thought it would cause shock and protest, but Dernial nodded.
"To be honest, I just wanted to suggest it before. Actually, we have no other choice," he replied. After a moment of silence, he took a deep breath and whispered:
"Julie... you may not know it, but you are a great leader and... a she-wolf in general."
I don't think she was prepared for such a confession. She wanted to say something, but then the vision began.

Chapter 21
Julie stood a short distance from the strange black streak. It didn't look like smoke, it was as if it were looking for something. After a moment of observation, Julie decided it could be a ghost. As soon as she thought about it, two red spots appeared on the streak - she concluded that they were eyes. The streak began to thicken, until it finally took the form of a wolf.
"Why are you coming here?" asked the ghost.
"We need your help," she whispered so as not to frighten the wolf away. "Aella is in danger of annihilation. If you don't help us, the Water and Wind Clan will also die."
"Also ?! How is that also?"
Julie told him everything in detail. Treason. Fight. Escape. Everything.
The ghost listened carefully. His face showed no emotion. Only when she mentioned killing almost the entire pack did something break in him. She saw that he had his favor.
"So how? Will you help us?" she looked into his eyes hopefully.
"I can help you, but as soon as your Janama disappears, I will come back here."
Julie's relief was immeasurable. Finally, they will finally be able to start a new life. Already without Janama.
The vision is over. Beside her stood the leader of the Pack of Darkness.

Chapter 22
"What now?" Dernial asked when Julie told them everything.
"I'm a ghost after all. He can't hurt me and I know magic. " answered the Spirit. "Whatever this Janama would do to me, there's no way."
"I think we should go back" she said, then whisper "No more humiliation."
Julie and Dernial led, followed by Zaira, the Spirit and the rest of the warriors. An awkward silence fell between Dernial and Julie. Finally, Julie decided to speak.
"What you told me then... on this rock... I wanted... I want to thank you."
Dernial was a bit confused.
"Thank you for what?"
"You always supported me. You have always been with me. It really means a lot to me. "
Dernial smiled.
The environment began to change. it was getting colder, the trees had dried up so far, now they have larger snow caps. From time to time, white deer or gray fox searched between plants.
They were approaching the territory of an enemy clan.
"Do we have a specific plan?" one of the warriors asked.
"Distract the guard. Me, Dernial and Ghost will take Janama. "
They headed to the camp.

Chapter 23
The ghost ran ahead. Some Janama has no right to disturb order in Aella.
Julie was right behind him. It was starting to burn. She felt hot flooding her body. She would gladly end up with Janama, but first she wanted to stop Janama's protection so that the ghost could enter the camp imperceptibly. After a moment, the ghost turned into a dark streak such as Julie had seen for the first time.
Dernial ran next to Julie. He saw him burn. The eyes were filled with hatred and incredible strength. He was impressed. He knew her from a puppy, and now he felt like he was learning her again.
Janama's guards actually fled right away. Seeing a burning wolf running towards them setting fire to the trees passing by on the way, it was not surprising. Janama did not see them, so they decided to sneak up. They formed a circle around Janama which they slowly tightened. He did not notice them until they came out of the bushes with Julie in the front.
"You will never shake Aella's rights again," she whispered, then made a circle of fire around him. She let the ghost fly inside the circle.
Julie felt a strong blow to the back of her head. She fell over.

Chapter 24
The ghost flew to Janama, who has not yet noticed the commotion. Janama turned but didn't react. The ghost kidnapped him to the tree. There they both disappeared.
Dernial, who saw everything, was impressed. The ghost probably sacrificed himself to save the pack of Fire and Earth. After a moment, he saw one of the warriors hit Julie on the head and she falls. He scared the warrior off and sat down next to Julie. He put his ear to her nose. She was breathing. Dernial looked around. The warriors slowly realized what had happened. Horror and panic slowly appeared on their faces. They knew it was over. Or rather, it will be over when Julie wakes up and scares them away for good.
But Julie didn't wake up.
And the warriors approached them.
"Julie, wake up, please Julie," he whispered to her. She murmured something indistinctly. But she got up. After a short while flames flashed around. The warriors fled in terror.
This is the end.
End of horror.
The end of Janama.
Everything will be back to normal.
Julie won.
Dernial licked her ear gently. She smiled at him.

So here is a place for short thanks and in general... well, I think these will be the answers to all your questions about the story.

The idea came from boredom. Just. I invented the characters on the spot, to be honest the whole story was one big improvisation. Actually, as soon as I saw the "stories" board, I decided that I would leave a trace there as well. We have over 650 views so far, so I believe someone has read it. Character names are really pure accident. This whole story is an accident.

Let's move on to thanks.
I won't be too effusive here (mainly because it's 30 minutes past midnight). Thank you very much Lark, Oddonelynx & Legendum. You let me believe that someone read it. Thank you very much to every person who read the vomit of my mind. You are amazing whoever you are <3 And a huge thank you to the creators of Feral Heart. This game and its community have made my world more normal. Thank you.
