Game Help / I'm organizing the custom portals and...

So, I decided to make a couple maps for organizing my portals but then I realized, even though I organize them into those groups, they'll still show up as individual portals in the Cape, is there a way, (with just the fhm files) to make the portals not show up in the Cape, but still allow me to put gates in the maps I'm making?    Hopefully someone can help, I don't have any idea on what I should do :/

This is mostly an idea, but it's also sort of a help question so mods if you need to move please do so.  :P

I'm a FeralHeart player who loves to download other people's custom maps and explore them, or if they're for rps or anything, i download them. But what ends up happening is that with a lot of portals, a couple of them stretch out past that rock thing at the end of the Cape, and I can't access them. It really bothers me so in my exports folder I made a 'Extra Portals' folder and put all of the maps I didn't need at the moment in there to minimize the number of portals. I don't like doing this because then if I want to get to a map that I moved to my 'Extra Portals' folder, it's really inconvenient..

So my idea is that there should be a way to organize your maps in the Cape such as have a custom portal that says 'RP maps' and when you enter that you can see all of your rp maps... and you can be the one to organize them into those categories.

Also my question is, if you just have someone's .fhm file of a map, in map maker can you make a map and put a portal of their map within it?

If you can help with my question or comment on my idea that would be awesome :3

Game Help / Missing Water material

I'm making a pool object and am changing the material of the basiccylinder mesh but I can't seem to find my water material. I have the waterfall one but I don't think that would work for a pool.... could you post a link of yours if you have time? Also mods, I wasn't sure on where to put this or if it's ok to ask so just delete if you have to :)

Discussion Board / Dog events?

Hi, I'm making a map for me and my friend, and it's a dog rp map. The main map is sort of like an estate that has a farm, agility course, race track and houses for the humans in our rp. But there's a lot of unused space on our map, so I was wondering what other sort of events/sports could I add that dogs would take part in?

I already have these:
Agility Course
Raceing

I'm not adding:
Swimming (i added the objects too early so I can't exactly make a pool or anything with a heightmap and I'm a fail with the water you can add to the maps)

And here is an idea someone already gave me:
Hunting

Hopefully you can help me come up with a few ideas to make my map superific ^^

Game Help / Adding a heightmap after adding most of your objects?

Hi, I recently started making a map on the default flat terrain, and added a TON of objects (including pieces of fencing) and then decided I wanted to add a pool to the map, but when I add the height map with the darker colored square for the pool, the objects are now mostly hidden under the terrain with the houses' roofs only showing and the lower objects gone. I got rid of the heightmap but I wish there was a way to make it so the objects sit on the terrain and don't sink in.... do you know of any way I can get it to do that without increasing Y on every single object? Please help!  :-\

hello, I've been wondering how you add objects that are in object maker to map maker...like how to export them. Yes I know there are other threads like this but I'm still quite confused. Also, if there are multiple meshes put together in object maker are they considered one object when you export them?

Hopefully you can help, I need some help i've been having issues recently XD

Hi, I've made a preset before and I used the Preset Tutorial under Documentation. That was a while ago and I needed a bit of support while creating and there seems to be a problem with it cutting off the information or something. What I remembered was a lot longer tutorial and now:





:/ Just thought I might put it out there that something's wrong. Maybe it's just me or maybe something is wrong with it idk? And it's with the 'Preset Tutorial' and 'Getting Presets ingame' sections.

Hi, I would like to learn how to literate roleplay. I've seen many advertisements in Flourite about literate roleplays. I know they are typing in paragraphs and giving detail but I would like some support on HOW to do it. (You may think this is stupid but I'd like some tips  :D) If you could give me examples on what literate roleplaying is like or some tips that would be awesome   ;D. I roleplay sometimes with short sentences to explain something simple that I forgot to put in the last 'semi-paragraph' that I make.

Oh and mods, if this thread needs to be moved please do so  ;) i wasn't sure where I should post this.

Game Help / Unorganized Exports Folder

I download a lot of maps, and just put all of the files in my exports folder not organizing them into folders and now I have multiple files that are : Default.fho Default(2).fho and etc. I was wondering if there was a way you could tell what maps those files belong to by opening them with a program. Could I get some help with this? :P Thanks
