Map Maker closes game

Hello, every time I open FH and go on map maker, it instantly closes the game so I have to restart. Any advice?

Hi there! I have two solutions you can try. c:

Make sure you don't have duplicated particle files ending in _0, _1, or _2 located in FeralHeart > media > particles. If you find these, delete them.

It could also be an issue with not having the temp map which looks like this:

Map maker might crash if it is not in the terrains folder. So if you do not have these, press the windows button, type Run, and then type in %temp%. This should recover your temp files with ease.

Hi there! I have nothing in my particles file & no files ending in _0 or _1 anyway :0
My fhmaps folder is in terrains and the actual fhmaps folder

If all else fails, Moon and you do not have much in your files you can try a reinstall (which is a last resort for most). Either that or try restarting your computer. c:

Sometimes weird things can cause my map maker to crash FH and no longer work, I'm assuming it can be anything from objects to a messed up terrain/mask file or even a .fhm in terrains.

I'd suggest cleaning out things one by one that you may have downloaded/made recently, possible install a second FH (name it FeralHeart 2 to not overwrite the other one) and move anything you need over to that FH or re-install and replace the old one.

Only suggesting downloading a second FeralHeart to possible find the issue when moving things over. ;o
