Title: How To Have More Than 12 Presets

i decided to make this cause i was like "yo i have like more than 12 characters that need presets *plus 7/9 of my main characters have presets so* so i'll make a thing so people know how i do the thing".

NOTE: this will only work if you have more than one account. trying this with only one account WILL NOT WORK. well, i mean it will, but who wants to constantly switch between files?

anyway, let's get started!




so first, let's get ourselves a full my_presets folder, shall we?

pretend it's full okay.

ah yes, nice and full. but, oh no! it's full, but you have more characters in need of presets!

fear not, human! for i, the great fire, have a solution! all you need to do is make sure you have all your preset folders assigned to a file in the 'presets' folder, then take out the files! like this:

good, good! now then, go ahead and make your new preset! yes, it's really that simple! make sure to save your old preset files, and put the preset on your other account! unless you want to constantly switch between each preset file for your two characters. but, you'll only have to do that if you use the same account.

this trick also works with three or more accounts! just remember to save those old files! you don't want to get rid of them and have to remake them, do you? and don't worry, the file for the preset on your first account will not be altered at all!

Im pretty confused with the making of presets. So if I click on the file preset 3 it only shows a thing named material. So I don't know how Im going to make more than 2 presets.

You have to make the preset in GIMP or another program like that. Lmao.

I do have Gimp,  but like how do I do presets if they only show material? I only know how to do them with preset 1 and 2

  You don't make presets using 1 and 2, You create your preset in gimp and use 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12.

You have to create those files yourself! Each of the folders aside from Preset 1 and Preset 2 only come with the material file, you just have to create the corresponding .jpg/.png files. ^^

okay 1. Pictures wont load cause IMGUR and TINYPIC no longer works on this site (period)

2. isn't it illegal to have more than 1 account? (read DA RULES, and despite the fact that the staff are having ENOUGH trouble as is in desperation to re-open registration)

3. Im looking for a script way, if you look into resources.cfg it looks to be pretty close to a way to apply more presets in general, but so far just adding things doesn't work for the game. (Since i want to be SMART and RESOURCEFUL/RESPECTFUL to the runner of the server and not have a bunch of accounts that i wont use...)

That my friend is wrong... you can do whatever you want to preset(s) 1 and 2, I already have mine filled up yo...

Ok well, your first statement there... that isn't entirely true. Imgur is allowed on our website and is in fact the one we recommend to people. Tinypic was banned around the time this thread was posted, and the thread author was active long afterwards, so I doubt Tinypic was used. Sometimes another image-uploading website is used and images may just be removed automatically by said website or even by the uploader him/herself.

I think you'd benefit from reading the rules most of all, actually. There's no rule against having an extra account or two. So please stop spreading false information and trying to call out other people for something that is neither wrong nor incorrect.

In the future please do not be unnecessarily rude and call out people in their tutorial threads. Not every tutorial is going to work for everyone (whether be it because different computers, previous knowledge of the subject, etc) and you need to understand that.
