The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

@Regularities: This is a perfectly acceptable thread. They don't have to give a whole story on themselves when they come back. Stop acting like you have a say so on what threads can be locked or not. Leave that to staff.

I said I think they should be locked. Not that it needs to be.
I was only stating my opinion that it's not really an introduction thread.
