Title: Yet another Preset Issue
Post by: Sammim123 on April 11, 2016, 05:13:24 pm
ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
I had made the same mistake I did years ago when first starting with presets. I forgot the S in my user is capitalized. So for others having problems, try making sure your name is typed exactly. For example, my username is Sammim123, and I was exporting the preset as sammim123

Capitalization does count guys! Thank you for all of your responses however.~~

I've been playing the game on and off for years, but one thing I always did was make presets. I've NEVER had a problem seeing, or getting friends to see my own. Now, that I came back from over a year long hiatus, I rejoined my old pack roleplay and no one can see my preset. I have even tried working through all of the issues I've ever had between both my current, and old laptop. I've tested it a thousand times and reexported re created/reselected (so on so forth) the preset a thousand times. But still, no one can see it. Including my other laptop.

I've followed every step precisely and yet still nothing. Is there ANYONE who has any suggestions?

Well, what link are ye giving out as the preset download? It could be that over the time ye were absent, ye f'ergot the correct link and floofs be downloading an old version or completely different preset. I'd recommend exporting the preset once more and creating a new download f'er it. That may fix the issue.

The only thing i can say is to make sure the other person doesn't see anything other than yourusername_#.fhp

If they see ex.  Pkf7_#.fhp(1) or (2) or anything like (#) then have them remove that (#) [at the ending] part and it should solve the problem! ;)

Correct: Pkf7_#.fhp
Incorrect: Pkf7_#.fhp(1)

I'd also make sure you're not giving them the actual files to the preset, and only giving them the .fhp

If all else fails, sometimes moving the preset to a new folder & retesting it works.
Just move all of the files and rename them - if you have coding you're going to have to either copy the original code and paste it then change all the numbers around (tip: press control + H to replace any desired letter/word/number with another).
