Born from the minds of the desperate,
Greek Mythology flourished with prayers and worshipers.
In Greek Mythology there are twelve Gods and Goddesses
that rule over the universe from atop Mount Olympus.
Each God and Goddess has it's own subjects that it rules over.

The most powerful of all, Zeus was god of the sky and the king of Olympus. His temper affected the weather, and he threw thunderbolts when he was unhappy. He was married to Hera but had many other lovers. His symbols include the oak and the thunderbolt.

Poseidon was god of the sea. He was the most powerful god except for his brother, Zeus. He lived in a beautiful palace under the sea and caused earthquakes when he was in a temper. His symbols include the horse and the trident (a three-pronged pitchfork). He's most known for being wise and peaceful.

Hera was goddess of marriage and the queen of Olympus. She was Zeus's wife and sister; many myths tell of how she sought revenge when Zeus betrayed her with his lovers. Her symbols include the peacock and cow. She's most known for being protective and elegant.

Hades was king of the dead. He lived in the underworld, the heavily guarded land where he ruled over the dead. He was the brother of Zeus and the husband of Persephone, Demeter's daughter, whom he kidnapped. He's most known for being cold and harsh.

Aphrodite was the goddess of love and beauty, and the protector of sailors. She may have been the daughter of Zeus and the Titan Dione, or she may have risen from the sea on a shell. Her symbols include the myrtle tree and the dove. She's most known for being flirty and regal.

Apollo was the god of music and healing. He was also an archer, and hunted with a silver bow. Apollo was the son of Zeus and the Titan Leto, and the twin of Artemis. His symbols include the laurel tree, the crow, and the dolphin. He's most known for his carelessness and speedy voice.

Ares was the god of war. He was both cruel and tricky. Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera, but neither of his parents liked him. His symbols include the vulture and the dog, and he often carried a bloody spear. He's most known for his mischievous ways and solitude, preferring being alone.

Artemis was the goddess of the hunt and the protector of women in childbirth. She hunted with silver arrows and loved all wild animals. Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin of Apollo. Her symbols include the cypress tree and the deer. She's most known for being stern and sarcastic.

Athena was the goddess of wisdom. She was also skilled in the art of war, and helped heroes such as Odysseus and Hercules. Athena sprang full-grown from the forehead of Zeus, and became his favorite child. Her symbols include the owl and the olive tree. She's best known for being clever and strong.

Hephaestus was the god of fire and the forge (a furnace in which metal is heated). Although he made armor and weapons for the gods, he loved peace. He was the son of Zeus and Hera and married Aphrodite. His symbols include the anvil and the forge. He's best known for being brutish and kind.

Hestia was the goddess of the hearth (a fireplace at the center of the home). She was the most gentle of the gods, and does not play a role in many myths. Hestia was the sister of Zeus and the oldest of the Olympians. Fire is among her symbols She's best known for being hot tempered.

Hermes was the messenger god, a trickster, and a friend to thieves. He was said to have invented boxing and gymnastics. He was the son of Zeus and the constellation Maia. The speediest of all, he wore winged sandals and a winged hat and carried a magic wand. He's best known for being a liar.

Below the 12 Leaders, ruled the lesser gods. Not as powerful, yet still godly. Dozens, hundreds existed unnoticed. Each God and Goddess, though most wed, had secret lovers to quench their desires. Most of these maidens or maids were humans, mere mortals, sometimes resulting in the birth of a demi-god, half god half human. When two gods birthed a child, it was fully god. But no one ever wondered what happened to the kin born to gods that bedded with lesser gods. Did it create a weaker god? Perhaps a beast? No. It created a Guardian.

Disgraced for their forbidden existence the children were taken from their parents and put to death. For fear of losing their kids, the gods and goddesses began raising them in secret. Once Ares had a Guardian of his own, his arrogance and protectivness drove him to create the Guardians of the Otherworlds, a secret society beneath Olympus where the children were kept and trained.

Hera kept watch over the young children, her betrayal from Zeus driving her rebellion. All Gods know of the society part from Zeus, who is the one person they don't want to know. Ares runs the society, keeping watch over them all. Used for protection over all the realms,,they are sent to defeat enemies that threaten the realms Zeus deems unimportant.

There are many rules in the Guardians of the Otherworlds. The main one..

Don't Let Zeus Catch You

In this Rp, the myths of Greek Mythology are real. You are born as a Guardian, raised in a secret society beneath Olympus. Olympus is a large. Castle atop a mountain. Follow a long winding staircase down the mountain and you will be led to the town of Olympus. Beyond the town's borders are the large, vast forests and mountainous terrain that hold the mythological creatures of Greece. Within the midst of the castle is the only way in and out of the realm of Olympus,..until now. A secret portal hidden away within the forest leads to all the realms. This portal is your way in and out of Olympus. You may be seen out and about, but your cover must not be blown. One more thing..

Each Guardian has an opposite.

For a Guardian to be born, their soul must be connected to a mortals. Instead of a whole soul being used, the two beings share a soul, usually resulting in them hating one another, though in rare occasions they get along. Opposites don't necessarily mean the two are different. The name sprouts from the two opposite sides of the soul that are broken. Though no guardian has ever been known to meet their opposite.

I will put weekly updates on the status of the rp, a character list, a few websites on Greek mythology, and a current plot. The form will be below. I will also add a website with a list of lesser gods to use.

OOC:
Lovely new RP! Though, just to state this that Artemis and Hera shouldn't have children as it is against their original Greek standings. c:

thanks!also,Soar, about what you said earlier regarding Artemis and Hera,I'm sure the latter had children with Zeus, they were Hephaistos and Ares,or so I've read.Maybe you meant Athena instead of her, since both Artemis and Athena said they would never marry or give birth to children.))

@Fanta: You're right but, I need to clarify on one matter. Hera only had children with Zeus (being Hephaestus  and Ares). However, she is the goddess of marriage and therefore, it is her duty to same loyal to Zeus despite his rather 'affectionate' ways of wooing men and women alike.

To be honest, I forgot about Athena being one as I read the Percy Jackson series and it showed that Athena had children but they were born from the mind or something of that fashion. xD ]]

The bright, ivory lights of the council room frustrated the tall, pale god. Loxius's bright crystal optics narrowed at the pages of treasured book he had become succumbed in. He sat at the large, oval table, his ebony hair slicked back as he rested his head upon one hand, while the other busied itself holding the book beneath the table. "This is just fantastic. Marvelous, actually.", Eshiana muttered, pacing back and fourth before the table, "Ares is going to kiss us, I could have taken him. If Disotius had stepped back." Disotius's head snapped up in anger, "Do not blame this on me, girl. I saved your life.", he spat. Eshiana's blaming eyes rested on me, "And meanwhile Loxius has his head so sunk into his prized book he has yet to notice that Ares is going to find someone to blame.", she waved her hand my way. "That's because I find myself better company than the rest of you.", Loxius muttered, flipping the page. "You barely speak to any of us, you can't ignore us forever." Loxius rolled his eyes, narrowing them at Eshiana before having them rest back upon his book. "Not for the lack of effort on my part, I assure you.", Loxius replied, and it was true. Disotius snorted at Loxius's words, humored by it. Eshiana was quite boastful and loud at times.

"Pray tell what in the realms happened!?", Ares's booming voice echoed into the room before he even reached the door. Loxius raised a brow, but remained silent as the door slid open, the large, armored brute stomping in. Ares came to a stop before the table, the room falling silent at his presence. His narrowed eyes grew red with anger. "Someone speak, Now.", he growled. Loxius, seemingly unaffected by his words, flipped a page. "Calithea, Anathasia speak up. What in Zeus's name happened!?", Ares demanded.

Calithea

If one was to enter the council room,he or she would say there was a deep silence among the Guardians sitting at the wooden, oval table. However, they would be wrong,as anxiety and anger could be sensed among the ones residing in the room. Not a moment too soon,a fight started among them, regarding their recent failure in a quest.Calithea, one of the Guardians sitting opposite of the two gods who started the dispute, knew that a fight right now was completely unnecessary, not when Ares, their leader, was due to arrive any second. It would only turn things for the worst.
"Esthiana,Disotius, enought now! We'll have to admit defeat to Ares anyway!I think we should concentrate more on how to calm him down once he comes throught those doors, don't you think?"the young Guardian finally spoke, seconds before said doors opened, revealing a furious Ares. The god of war didn't even step inside the council room as he already demanded explanations on the recent event in the other realm. It was a surprise how Loxius,Ares's son, looked so calm during this situation. As expected, their leader was quick to choose the ones who would have to report, and most likely take the blame. And the ones this time were Calithea and Anathasia. How much did the Guardian hate Ares's attitude towards them, yet she couldn't do anything but swallow her words.
"We haven't really made a plan when we started our quest,so we were disorganised. However, our cover wasn't blown,I suggest we let things calm down a bit before we head back to action."Calithea answered Ares.

Seated at the opposite of the other Guardians, the eldest that was Athanasia casually leaned into her seat and heard the ruckus about her. The majority had a tendency of physically and vocally asserting their anger which, of course, she found must amusing. Quietly, her hands folded upon her lap with her eyes flickering close. Thump, thump, thump. The mighty deity of War, Ares, was soon to arrive and just as it seems, there was a peeved and relentless spirit in the air that could've almost strangled her on the spot. The last mission was an utter failure and there was point of living in denial over that matter nor living in whiny behavior in her own opinion. 'Guardians are in stir and the God of War may come in on it. It is naturally a gas leak waiting to be ignited,' she thought to herself. Blue eyes flickered over the quarreling two with an intent of scolding them in a rather cold fashion, much like her father, Erebor's, tactic but it seemed the sweet and warm child of Aphrodite, Calithea had spoken up and reprimanded the duo. "Calithea has her point and regardless, our bickering and moaning will trigger Ares to declare war on us if we're not too careful."

It was the first time she spoke in the meeting since their return. And surely enough, when she spoke, the doors swung open and the broad and ruthless figure of the hot-headed Ares came to show. His face was shaded in reds of fury and the large steps echoed in the room that only made her casually glance over to his being and only watched the performance unfold. Being presented on the spot with her colleague, the woman raised a brow and remained quiet as it was certain routine for her to be the specific detail giver to Ares if all of Underworld was about to crack open due to their failures or screw ups.

"The identities of our society is still veiled, Lord Ares. The only matter that remains is our absence in body and the absence of  faces that Lord Zeus would be begging to know," she stated clearly. "The mission's failure as well took to certain malfunctions with our portal and it sounded an alarm to the opposing forces. I am sure Hephaestus' son, Abaddon, is at it and trying to fix it as we speak." A cool glance was given to the god's exterior that was ready to grabbed at anyone's throat and toss them like a ragdoll. Still, Athanasia had her immersing blue eyes trail to Loxius' figure that was surely nonchalant as she was but his mind adrift to the book. A bit ironic how the least "book smart" of the deities had a son capable of being entertained by literature. Then again, his own mouth can trigger any fight if he wasn't careful.

A soft wave was given to him as the deity was turning away and rambling.

[[I, as well, added an NPC. xD]]

Loxius gave little acknowledgement of his father aside from a raised brow and deep exhale as he flipped the page once more. Only once Athanasia's wise voice spoke up did his crystalline optics flick up to gaze at her. He watched the guardian remain melancholy as she explained the failure on their part. It was rare to find such a calm creature as Loxius was, or seemed to be for that matter. Ares's forehead boiled with crimson rage as his veins became visible. "Loxius.", his deep voice pulled a careless sigh from Loxius's chest. He raised a brow, barely acknowledging his name. Ares slammed his fists into the table, pulling the room to a silence as he leaned over the edge, "Put the damn book down and speak your part. You're the son of war, not literature. Give me something." Loxius glanced up from the page, narrowing his eyes at his father before slowly closing the book. "How about medication, Ares. High blood pressure is a serious matter." Eshiana's hand flew up to cover her mouth, muffling a snicker as Distotius bit his lip in humor. Though the whole of Loxius's words did not go unnoticed. Distotius shook his head, it was a shame really; Ares and Loxius's relationship. It had grown so foul Loxius failed to call him father. "You disappoint me, boy. So much potential, so much fury hidden within you, yet you choose to hide behind your mischievous tricks and leatherback books!", Ares scolded, "Must I bring up the game you pulled this sun rise?" Ares's voice boomed with anger, but Loxius none the less cast him an amused smirk. The entire realm knew of his tricks and mischievously chaotic ways, especially after this morning when he turned Zeus's prized robe into a cloak of feathers. They continued to this minute searching for the culprit.

"Son, do you realize how weak you look sitting without a word!?", Ares continued to push. Loxius squeezed the bridge of his nose in exasperation, before eyeing Ares skeptically and beginning to laugh, "Yes, because I'd rather look like a bruised tomato not even a straggler would feast upon.", he replied. "You're sad, boy. You rarely leave your chambers and when you do it's to converse with your mother or Anathasia.", Ares growled. "Intellectually simulating, those two. Brute strength is nothing if you can't speak a full sentence.", Loxius replied, tossing a sneer Anathasia's way. "Enough!", Ares yelled, pulling them to silence. "Calithea, be sure that Abaddon finishes the job for as soon as the portal is fixed you all have a new mission." Loxius fell quiet, raising a brow as he wondered who would press Ares to explain.

Ares was about to cause a wildfire. Athanasia sat up in her seat, rotated her shoulders, and kept a protective eye over Loxius' being for his own sake if the deity were to try to harass him physically. Every exchange the two had certainly ended in a collision of warfare that she was definitely not willing to cater to and serve as a negotiator as both were fully aware of how to tick off the other. 'Ah goodness, Ares is going to mention me-- And he does,' a thought strained her mind as her shoulders weighed down in discomfort at bringing brought into a conversation that she wasn't needed to be a part of. As a slight compliment was given, blue eyes wavered over to Loxius that sneered as if wanting to gain approval or support on her behalf. Simply, she tilted her head in such an innocent fashion that only seemingly questioned his own right or more so, privilege to be seeking out this gain of assistance.

The deity instructed was needed to be done and it seemed the man across the table with the book was just as ready to ope his mouth. A very casual but threatening glance was given to him with a sternness of an oak but the softness of a lamb. "Lord Ares, we shall seek to you once the portal is fixed." Ares, still with a flaring red about his face, nodded solemnly and grumbled a word of disrespect towards the Guardians.

Loxius straightened his back as Ares interrupted his gaze at Anathasia, narrowing his eyes at his father. "I expect as much.", Ares growled Anathasia's way. Loxius allowed a low chuckle to escape him as he glanced down to his lap. Ares, suddenly drawn in by his son's humorous tone, furrowed a redenned brow at him, "Something you care to share?" Loxius leaned back in his seat, picking his book back up to flip it open. "I'd love to if I believed you could comprehend my words.", he replied, beginning to read his words once more. With a sudden rush of rage, Ares reached across the table, snatching the book from Loxius's hands. "You will learn to respect me!" Loxius, obviously struggling to remain calm, rested his forehead in his palm, exasperation overcoming him. Ares growled to himself, he expected a reply, and he would get one, one way or another. "Your mother is disgraced by you.", he spat. Loxius shot up from his seat, his chair sliding swiftly into the wall behind him as he  leaned over the table, meeting his father's gaze. "You leave my mother out of this, you ignorant swine.", Loxius hissed.

"Boys."

The soothing coo of her familiar voice pulled both of them to a silence. Loxius gazed to the doorway as the wise, sweet woman strolled in. Her long, ebony waves fell past her shoulders, her bright blue optics gazing between them. "Selene.", Ares muttered, pushing off of the table. "Mother.", Loxius stated, straightening his back. "The matter has been settled. They agreed to return once the portal is fixed. Let us part for now and allow the air to settle.", Selene informed, her gentle voice like a lullaby. Ares may have been a powerful god, but Selene was no one to question. Though he lacked care for his son, he did love the goddess. With that, Ares pushed from the group, stomping with a grunt out of the room. "Rest now, you all need it.", Selene stated, turning her gaze to Anathasia, "Do make sure everyone gets to their chambers before sun fall."

"Mother, you come here. Why?", Loxius muttered. Selene's pale hand reached up to graze the guardian's cheeck, "You are my son, Loxius. Never forget that. Now, get some rest., she placed his books back into his hands before waving him towards the door. Loxius bowed gently to her, before making his way out of the room. His mind raced with emotions, and he had one destination in mind. The library. It's vast aisles of oils and books calmed him, and he had no intentions of returning to his chambers anytime soon. Even if sunfall was soon. He never was one to listen.

As expected, the meeting turned out to be nothing but chaos as Ares focused his attention strictly on Loxius, showing his son the dissapointment he feels for him.Despite this,Loxius didn't end his passive attitude,in fact he allowed a chuckle, loud enough for the mighty god of war's sharp ears to hear.Truth be told,Calithea felt sorry for her fellow Guardian, and could only worry about the fact that he might have crossed the line.Ares's anger was at its limit,it seemed.Only the greatest of the farseers, such as Uranus, could tell what would have Ares done at this rate if Loxius wasn't his son.
The tension between the two was, luckily, short, as it ended when Selene made her appearance in the council room. This was a sign that the meeting came to an end,and the deities could leave for their chambers and finally have rest. However,Calithea had one more thing to do,and that was given from Ares,to make sure Abaddon would finish the portal as quickly as possible so they can be given a new mission. The Guardian headed down the large yet empty halls, towards the chamber where the portal was.Everything was silent, except for the sound of her footsteps and the crackling fire, coming from the torches hanged to the walls.Having reached her destination,,Calithea peered inside the room where Abaddon was working restlessly. He didn't notice her presence, succumbed in his work."Abaddon."Calithea called to him, standing in the entrance. This gained the diety's attention."Why  hello, has the meeting ended already?"he asked, wiping the sweat of his forehead with a towel."Anything interesting happened?"Calithea's lips curved into a smile."No,not really,be glad you did not have to attend it."She looked back in the hallway, making sure that Ares wasn't around to say that she was keeping Abaddon from getting his duty done."To be short, our leader wants you to finish the portal as quickly as possible, preferably by tomorrow. You know how impatient he is.the Guardian spoke."I'll try my best."he replied as he got back to work. After giving one last look towards the unfinished portal,Calithea parted towards the chambers.

sorry if i'm causing a slow progress to this RP,i guess it is because of the timezone.when you are awake and continue,i am probably sleeping and vice versa. Not sure how to deal with this though. :) ))

? Faethiel ?

The young woman departed the scene as the rest were dismissed. She had witnessed the events in the council, though had not voiced her opinion. Why would she? She was the offspring of two lesser deities. Had she interfere with the business of a stronger god, let alone the god of war himself, she had the feeling that she would end up with more than a few scratches. Besides, it wasn't her business. "I suppose I'm a bit grateful that I don't have the horror of being related to him," She shrugged feeling a bit at ease from that. Her steps were naturally light and with haste. Though before she could proceed any further, an stern arm gripped her forearm, pulling her aside suddenly to where the two couldn't be seen. It took her by surprise when she saw her father and he looked around cautiously before asking, "Nothing too serious happened in there, did it?" Faethiel gave an innocent shrug, "I suppose not," she paused before murmuring, "Just Ares's hotheadedness" He shrugged, "I expected as much knowing him." He smirked a bit though shook his head, "Just try to be careful dear. I've heard some awful rumors lately. And remember, if you hear anything, tell me." Faethiel nodded to him smiling lightly before watching him disappear. As he left, she felt something in her pocket now, though didn't bother to try and feel it.

The sudden appearance of the moon came to their conference. Well, the personification of the celestial body being or the celestial being, Selene.  The men of war blood simmered down and were gazing to her, as to all that were present. Even Athanasia couldn't help but watch over the deity's appearance but in an a shade of envy but in a shade of appeal to not be like her but the worth of being in her company. Now, that was a goal she strided for as the deities of Mt. Olympus have on the rare occasion awarded their children with official claims and titles as when two gods breed, another smaller god is made. The case of this secret society was one she would never quite understand.

With the silvery eyes of the deity gazing upon her, the council member seated up accordingly and abided to her command, "At once, my lady." Several members of the society roused up from their seats, two of them that were in a usual flicker of bickering hushed down and seemed to be obedient at once at the lady's command. With such a command, the group disparaged but blue eyes wagered over to see her friend speaking towards his mother. Though, that was went a shade of envy came to her face. When was the last Hestia came to her for conversation? When was it? Never, really. At least she was more in a participating fashion than her father, Erebos.

Closing the doors behind them, the echoes rung down the corridor that left one of the eldest Guardians in the silence. This only meant there was availability on traveling through the land or investigating the Observation deck that allowed them to view into Mount Olympus and on the rare occasion, the other realm that remained untouched. With long strides going and her shimmering teal dress and white trailing behind,  the guardian of polar ends left the area.

The sun seemed to grey at the presence of Selene, but only once the day had truly ended did the sun fall and the moon shine down upon Mt. Olympus. The halls of the underground encampment soon grew empty, though word of the past council meeting left those that were apart from the group in hushed tones. Ares was angered and even that was an understatement. Word of Selene's appearance soon spread followed by Loxius's outburst. The Guardian hadn't been seen since the closing of the meeting, leaving those bewildered. It wasn't rare for Loxius to remain solitary, he preferred to be alone. But even this amount of time was odd for the god. Usually spotted in the hall or llibrary aisles, his absence drew a confused tone from those who whispered.

Selene was rumored to have spotted him in his chambers, but no one was quite sure as no one was brave enough to dare enter his chambers. Upon Selene's request, several guardians politely denied to enter his chambers and check upon him. In reality, the boy was fine. His showered hair had dried in a casual manner as he gave up on slicking it back for the remainder of the day. His muddled mind kept him to busy to place another shirt upon his torso, so he sat upon the edge of his bed, his black slacks, the only clothing he wore. His chambers were an array of black and burgundy, matching his armor and hair. Tapestries of silver and black hung about as burgundy and gold lined his room. Books lay about, as he stayed silent upon his neat bed. The portal would soon be fixed, and he was well aware his father had plans for them, but of what he wasn't sure. His crystalline optics rested upon a copy of Shakespeare, his favorite. Of course, but that it mattered. He had little when it came to relationships of any kind. His silver-tongue and chaotic ways led to much hatred, when he wasn't reading of course. Anathasia was his one true companion at the moment, apart from his mother, who remained the most important thing to him, Anathasia a close second.

Faethiel wasn't a depressing being neither. In many ways they were similar. Both mischievous, both sneaky. Though he was sure she was far more of a physical fighter than he was, preferring intellect to brute strength. Both had fathers must disliked. He found the girl to be fascinating, but at the moment, he was busy. Pushing from the bed, Loxius strolled towards his dresser, sslipping out a shadowed item. He eyed it in fascination and powerful amusement. The one item he craved to possess more than anything at the moment. It's golden slides opened, as it expanded into full stature, his large hands adjusting to hold it. A large, golden spear, its serrated tip sporting a red, magical glow. It was no ordinary spear. This, was Ares's spear.

? Faethiel ?

Faethiel made it back to her chamber rather quickly after the encounter, eager to feel the embrace of sleep. Her hand lightly pressed against the door as she stepped inside, flicking the light on. The light source was rather dim though made the room visible to stroll through without. Her fingers sought out a lighter that was on a nearby victorian stylized table and she walked around the room, lighting the numerous candles and herbal incense burners placed tastefully on display around the large room. The scents always gave her this unique serenity and warmth to kept her calm when she was distraught. Once she had lit the last one, Faethiel dragged her feet towards the bed. She propped herself up a bit while  opening a drawer by her bed, retrieving a book of some sort and a pen. Her hands grazed the bindings of the book before she opening it, scanning it and  flipping to an empty page in the middle of the book beginning to write.

The sun was golden flame,
The air was sweet like honey;
The grass was soft we made
A pledge to keep on running.
The clouds were shied away,
The air was warm and damp;
Oh on this golden day,
You ripped my heart away.
It was the dawn of may,
A lonely blackbird singing,
Now the same melody,
Brings back the pain.

She read over the lines quite a few times, making sure it sounded as she intended. Faethiel gave off a small seemingly forced smile.  The guardian stashed her book under her pillow before raising back to her feet. There was an odd, unsettling sensation in her being. She couldn't place why for the life of her in the beginning  she felt that way, but her feet moved to the sudden urge's desire. Faethiel ventured the halls turning around the corridor. Her light steps lead her  to the door of Loxius. Rumors of what danger could lie behind the wood barricade wandered into her subconscious. Though she refused to believe, most of them at least. With the back of her hand, she knocked. The noise seemed to echo faintly down the hall. She still was nervous about this first confrontation with him. Though a thought had came to her as to why she wanted to meet him personally. Because she felt quite a bit of sympathy for the man for earlier and just in general. Faethiel refused to believe so though since she didn't want to be labeled as 'soft-hearted'.

Orbs of light flickered above from an immense chandelier in the observation  deck with the rims of bronze and ivory. The shelves against the stone built walls were lined with scrolls with different seals branded and strings attached to notify which belonged to which Guardian. Athansia parted the door that swung inward as a loud creak echoed down the dead corridor. A nervous sigh escaped from her lips as the moment she had stepped in her hand flickered, the doors closing on command without an utter of a spell needed. This was power that she kept to herself.  Ringlets of brown were brushed to the side as the Guardian flickered her hand in front of her as the stones changed properties and turned to glass and translucent.

Athanasia saw her reflection, it was troubled and more so, conflicted. Her hands rubbed her eyes with an utter of annoyance from her voice, "Damn the Gods."  The skirts of her gown trailed behind her as she went towards the center of the rotunda. In front of her, the tiles of blue and white ceased and the large insignia of the society in the center. Tapping the hilt of her  Greek sandals near it, a sudden shake came. Athanasia stumbled a bit and stayed her ground as the he insignia began to turn slowly and the glass began to turn pure white and glow. The candles above blew out as all the light was coming from the power now being summoned into the room.

A podium with a long top emerged from the ground. Athanasia slowly edged closer, glossing her eyes covering the mantle.  As scroll came flying towards her, she grabbed it, unrolled it, and spread it out across the top. With her hands tracing over the papyrus, it was clear there was no writing. The inside of the scroll was a dark, dark blue near black as if it were the sky and the stars were there, glimmering and shimmering in the darkness. "Show me Mountain Olympus, home of the Deities." Athanasia's command came as noticed as the white glass soon became to a lighter shade of blue and orange and from there, she was given visuals of the great kingdom that she would never be part of. Never will any of the Guardians will be.

Surely, this sort of sorcery was advanced but, thanks to her father;s work, the Sky was predominantly in her command in the observatory. Well, during the night segments as Erebros was the Deity of the night (or darkens in general). The large elderly figure of Zeus sat on his throne, drinking away and eating bits of ambrosia to his delight. It was obvious that the man was surely irritated and more so, ready to hit anyone. Hera, deity of matrimony, sat alongside and was humming softly while weaving a casket and not once did she meet her husband's glare. It was an odd combination of violence and tranquility within either spirit. Something of this familiarity made the Guardian smirk a bit.

Hestia, goddess of the hearth, was on the opposite end with the other deities speaking away as if nothing had happened. Her heart dropped at the sight of her mother but she shook her head, resuming to watch them and take note of their alertness. The other deities that were irresponsible and gave life to the Guardians were mingling in whispers as her mother was. "If only the king amongst the Gods had better ears, for he would hear the shrieks of lies that will break his ears," for once, she bitterly spoke out. "When will we come out from the dark?"

For once, she realized why her father stayed within the shadows. It was safer not to be noticed or recognized. Safer from the truth that light casts. 'I'm heading out after this,' she reminded herself as her armor was laid on her bed the last time she remembered changing her attire. 'I can't remain this still for tonight. Just for a moment of peace.'

Calithea walked casually towards the chambers as there was absolutely nothing to make her rush, not even at this time of the day.It didn't take long for her to get there, though,as the chamber was quite close from the portal room. The young Guardian opened the door and stepped inside the all familiar and welcoming room.Without using any source of light,Calithea walked across the darkness that filled the chamber and leaned on her bed.It wasn't that kind of queen-sized ones she prefered to sleep in,but it was comfortable enough to satisfy her.And yet, despite her tiredness, the diety couldn't fall asleep as a  variety of thoughts broke into her mind. What were her parents doing? She hoped the were both alright. To tell the truth, even if Calithea has spent the majority of her life far away from them, she still cared deeply for the two gods. This is why,if anyone was to insult the goddess of love and the sun god,she would quickly snap.
After lighting a candle, the diety took a book from the nearby shelf and began reading it until the sleep would eventually get her.She wasn't exactly the type to enjoy books, rarely reading them.If she could, she would spend all day long in a balcony, under the light of the warming sun whose presence on the sky she loved. This love for the large star was obviously coming from being Helios's daughter.Calithea cracked a smile when she thought about a warm, sunny day.

His deep, crystal gaze eyed the artifact in awe. Oh, the things he could accomplish with the power within this spear. But, they would have to wait. A knock sounded from his door, and he quickly retracted the spear, placing it in the drawer and heading for the door, waving a wrist as the drawer slid shut, his powers always were useful for his laziness. "Enter.", he called out, waving at the door to open it with the flick of a wrist, leaning back against the large golden post of his bed. He crossed his arms against his pale, bare chest, his long hands gripping his forearms. "Ahh," he hissed, an amused smirk twisting onto his thin lips, at the sight of the dark headed Guardian, "Faethial. Isn't this a pleasant surprise." He cocked a teasing brow at her, waving the door shut. "I assumed it would be someome much more liking of me. Perhaps one of those maids, they seem to enjoy my company.", his cocky tone and sexual prowess shining through.

"Tell me, what is it you hoped to gain from visiting my chambers?", he asked. His golden, burgundy room twinkling against the moonlight that slipped in through the higher windows. It was a room barely anyone saw, but it was obviously the chambers of a high ranking being, even if it was a Guardians.

? Faethiel ?

Faethiel heard the invitation to enter and did so quietly. Her head was a bit low as she first entered, though it gradually lifted until it met his bright cyan stare. The guardian was a bit taken by surprise at the suggestive playful behavior and lifted a thin eyebrow. "Pleasant? Saying something such as that to the offspring of a professional liar and ruthless hunter must surely be false," She wore a small, smug smirk herself and glanced over her shoulder as she heard the door close. Faethiel rolled her eyes a bit at his next comment, "Gee, I wonder why. I honestly think most maids WOULD love to be in here with you posed as you are now. Though I have the distinct feeling that you find utter satisfaction in luring them here." She teased at him before proceeding a tad closer and seating herself.

The next question she had been asked made her flinch a bit. She honestly didn't want to say why though thought a bit before murmuring an adequate response, "Well, to be honest, you just intrigue me sir Loxius." This wasn't a lie, as the man has sparked much interest and controversy in her mind. "And not just in the way as those maids gawk at you," Faethiel took in a small breath before continuing, "I suppose I just see myself relating to yourself often. Maybe not in any lecherous desires, but you know. Such as the quarrel you had with your father back there." The guardian lowered her amber vision to the ground, unsure how he would respond to such a comment though made sure to switch the subject, "Well, it seems to have its quirks, now does it? You have a much more luxurious room than myself and probably the others have to stay residence in." She strummed her fingers against where she was seated in a slightly nervous habit. The young girl looked away in silence a bit embarrassed for bringing up such a topic  and sighed lowly.

The Guardian withdrew from the Observatory after mundane minutes spent away rearranging the scrolls and hiding the podium and reverting the glass to stone. Athanasia finally withdrew to her chambers in the lower wings of the sanctuary and the large wooden door closed behind her. Eagerly stripping out of the dress , it was folded and placed onto her spacious desk where the multitude of books and quills were lined accordingly at the edges. The armor of black shades of her father's color and the hood with a hidden red underling representing the warmth of her mother rested upon the mattress. Quietly, the woman sat down and placed on her armor without any words but her blue eyes often glanced over to her figure shortly being ambiguous of the elegant yet melancholic Athanasia that knew the perfect words to spindle and speak to those of nonsensical woes.

Flexing her fingers through the dark brown leather gauntlets, the Guardian quietly braided her hair and placed it up into a bun to prevent the wild strands from escaping and distorting her vision in the night.  Her bow was grabbed for along with her satchel of arrows as she placed it over her back. The daggers and small pouches were attached to a belt around her waist. Now, as she was fully equipped, Athanasia glanced again at the mirror in her compressed room and sighed at the figure.  Her hand grabbed for a he large collar of her undershirt and pulled it over her face, cloaking her main financial features as the hood gave no access to wondering eyes.

In the instance of the night, the flames of the corridor went out at the fast pace the woman walked in with her strides long yet silent. A hand haunted over a torch that was pulled fro mthe wall without any hesitation. Athanasia quietly soon went down the staircase of the sanctuary as the pearly white walls soon faded to a bleak brown color of the ground. It was an underground route developed by those with parents of the Earth like Demeter, Hades, and many others.

She left behind the regal lifestyle. The glow of the flames licking into the air and growing ever warmly and the Guardian soon would the grand forest and ever so carefully get close to the edge and see the homeland of the deities. A home they all have been denied to.

The dark haired guardian sat herself in one of the comforters in the midst of his chambers, running her fingers along the golden designs. "Ares believes gifts and treasure will pay for the many years of vile parenting. What more could a shameful father do?", he replied, running a hand through his seamlessly slicked back, ebony hair though it had begun to break through it's mold, small waves appearing in the depths. His crystalline gaze watched as Faethiel gazed away shamefully. An unamused frown appeared on his thin lips, "Never turn your gaze in shame, girl. Come, look me in the eyes and state your purpose.", just as Loxius spoke, the distant sounds of snoring caught his attention. "Perhaps it would be best to continue tomorrow.

Morning

Loxius awoke to the cool embrace of his sheets, his chest rising and falling rhythmically. It took him no time to awaken, shower, slip into his armor and fix his ebony hair before striding from the room and carelessly approaching the greathall of the society. It's lengths contained rows of tables filled with chattering and eating Guardians. He despised crowds, with a frown he turned on his heels to leave, only to be confronted by a familiar face. "My son,, Selene peeked beyond Loxius nervously, "I mustn't stay long. Your father informed me to tell you that the meeting will be held this day within an hour. I've informed the others." Selene's bright teal gaze met Loxius's and anyone standing by saw the striking resemblance. Loxius's strong jaw and high cheekbones came from no one in particular, as his mother possessed mid cheekbones while Ares only had the strong jaw. Loxius's ebony hair obviously came from his mother, as his deep, crystal eyes matched his mother's perfectly. But, against his mother's petite size, he obtained Ares's tall stature, but lacked his thick form. Loxius was rather lean and tall. "Of course,", he replied, his gaze leaving hers. He rarely saw his mother, but when he did it was normally cut short. A small, gentle hand caressed his cheek, catching his attention. "I will be back, my boy. Tonight, I will visit your chambers. I will bring a present.", Selene stood up on her toes, her thick lips lightly kissing Loxius's pale cheek. With that, she whirled around, strolling away with the same ease and grace she appeared with.

Loxius gave himself little time to grieve, instead taking his time arriving to the council room.

Ares paced back and fourth, his already crimson face growing worse as the hour passed, and Loxius had failed to show. "Of course, of all the Guardians, my son had to be the slack off.", he grumbled. Just as Ares came to a stop, his gaze fell on a materializing form in the corner. It's shape took, and Loxius appeared, book in hand as he leaned carelessly against the ivory walls. one foot crossed the other, as he used a single finger to flip the page of his book, his eyes glued to it's words. "You.", Ares hissed. "-are late. I'm well aware. I had important errands to attend to. Pardon the sudden appearance.", Loxius interrupted, not bothering to look up from his book.

? Faethiel ?

Faethiel peered up a bit at his words, not expecting to hear them. She breathes out a sigh, going to speak though was relieved when she heard the snoring, "Yes, I think i kept you up long enough and I'm terribly sorry. I'll show myself out." With that, the young guardian gave a slight smile before departing from the chamber without another word. In truth, she was relieved that she didn't have to explain her reasoning in depth to him. Faethiel made sure to keep her steps light as she traversed the halls, making it back to her own personal chamber. Her hand slid a bit across the entrance as she showed herself in and shut it lightly behind her. After going to extinguish the multiple scented flames that we scattered around her room, the girl quickly changed her clothing before moving over and proceeding to lay on the mattress slowly. She nuzzled her head lightly into her pillow and closed her eyes tightly. It took her quite a bit of offsetting her position and  adjusting before she could finally descend into a light peaceful slumber.

{During Dream}

She had arisen, though in a fairly  peculiar scene. The air around her seemed to have a much more uplifting aura. A cool autumn dusk breeze swept  across her face as a gentle fading caress as it continued carrying on amber toned remnants of the trees. The forest trees towered mighty and tall above her, giving her the same feeling of security as a castle wall. There was also a tinge of a salty taste in the breeze from the rushing streams that echoed in the distance. A place like this is only one Faethiel could dream about. Her eyes gazed over gently to take in the serenity of the scene, though was interrupted by the rustle of foliage a few meters away. The guardian, by instinct, retrieved her bow and positioned an arrow, drawing back steadily. Faethiel examined what the noise was coming from the overgrowth of the bush and could only guess by the hooves that it was a deer. She waited and positioned herself quietly so she was down wind of the great creature. Anticipation and exhilaration surged deep within her veins. It had been what seems like years since she had the chance to resume hunting and she wasn't about to waste the opportunity. As the buck lifted its head, her fingers retracted, causing the deathly arrow to be lodged into the neck of the creature. The strike had made the creature collapse, and the sight made her confident smile grow a bit more. As she went to retrieve her prize though, the oddest phenomenon happened.

Feathers were scattered throughout the air. Large dark birds of prey were emerging from the carcass laying on the ground now and whipped around the young girl in a fierce tornado like swarm. Several of the vicious birds had even dove in, leaving a vicious talon scar with each blow. All Faethiel could do was tremble. There was to many to even attempt fending of. Her hand lost grip of her bow and it fell to the ground, shattering. She swallowed hard, intaking fear, even more so when she felt an icy stern grip restraining her, leaving her gasping for air. The guardian tried to dig her nails into the hand to pry it off. Though it was to no avail. Her hazel eyes grew innocent with fear as she met the hardened glare of the one individual she had never wanted to encounter. Zeus. He spoke no words, but the mere presence left her quaking. His free hand radiated with his most notable weapon. It sparked more so as he grasped the weapon tighter. "I'll erase all you mistakes from this world." Faethiel took in a panicked breath and shut her eyes tight, bracing for impact.

{Morning}

Her posture on the bed had almost automatically changed the second in her dream she was terrified she was going to be struck down. Her arms were crossed, her head low and tremors from the vision still traveled up and down her spine. She bit her lip in worry before asking herself, "W-what if he does find out about all of us...?" It was rare for Faethiel to worry like this, but such a lucid dream as she had would leave anyone shaken up. She gave herself a few minutes to  steady her breathing before raising herself off the bed to get ready for the day, dressing in her normal style though braiding her hair back for once. She gazed into the mirror in front of her before letting out a low sigh and slipping on the last piece, a Celtic crescent moon amulet she held quite dear to her. It was one of the only mementos she had obtained of her mother and since she was rarely visited by her, it gave her a bit of the goddess of hunt to take with her. Faethiel grasped the spine of one of the novels she was in the process of reading before exiting her chamber, departing for the dining hall.

As usual, she had hardly touched a scrap of the food she received and sat a bit isolated from everyone else. The guardian always had a personal habit of reading mortal novels in her spare time. Not only was it funny to her for what ludicrous fables these writers would come up with, it also took her mind away from more morbid subjects that loved to lurk in her subconscious. She took another miniscule bite before turning to the next page, a small smile creasing her face. Faethiel would end up being so entranced in the novel that she forgot about the meeting being held today.

Night had turned to day. Guardians roused from their slumber but, Athanasia hadn't slept. Nor had she been present for the morning activities such as refreshing or dining. The black armored woman slowly drew back from the underground corridor while smothered in blood and gave her face giving a depraved look. Surely the neat curls that been tightened up into a bun was loose, crazed, and disorganized.

In the silence, only her eradicated breaths are heard as she slowly made her way towards to her private quarters.
