How do presets work?
« on: October 20, 2019, 07:04:26 am »
I have a few questions:

- What's the normal price of a preset?

- What modifications can you make to a preset?

- If someone uses a preset is it visible to other players or is the preset only visible to the person using said preset?

- Can you move your characters tail when using a preset? (I've just noticed people saying you can't and that you need a mod.)

You can modify a preset in visual ways only. more or less.  (scars, holes, coloured effects, water inside, fire, flashing animations ect) I've added underwater effects and ended up with them casting a shadow but they often break, so don't do that.

They're visible to people who have the exported file, so you, anyone you give it to, and anyone who downloads it if you post it online.

My tail works normally with them. I'm not sure why anyone would say otherwise.

The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

Price generally depends on the person making it and how detailed/complicated the preset is. Are you looking to get a preset?
