So I've been trying to open FH for a while now, but every time I click the icon, a black window pops up and then disappears? The game keeps crashing before it even starts up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times to no avail. Does anyone know what might be the problem?
Edit: I have been downloading a bunch of meshesthe past couple of days, not sure if that would have anything to do with it though?

Check in your particles for duplicate files. You can tell which ones aren't supposed to be there since they have _0 or _1 at the end of the name.
Delete these files from both your Particles and My_Objects folder.

I’ve looked and I don’t seem to have any duplicate files :/
-
Was the game working before you downloaded the meshes?
-
What do you play on? Do you play on a mac or Windows?
I also suggest changing your rendering system. If you have OpenGL, you can go into the FeralHeart folder and open ogre.cfg. Next, in the first line change it to Direct3D9. Do not change the line below it, since that causes a crash. You can do the same thing with Direct3D9, but the opposite. Hopefully this can help you out a bit.

The game was working before and after the meshes were downloaded. It was all of a sudden.
I’ll try that solution and see if it works!!

I play on Windows, by the way!
I'm not able to open the .cfg, I don't have a program to do it on. :c

you should have notepad preinstalled. if you haven't opened a .cfg file before it prompts you to choose it or select it from your files. if you need to select it search for "notepad.exe"

Notepad opens the .cfg Also, duplicate weather can cause crashing too.

Tried that and it didn’t work either. :c
I guess I could try clearing the my objects folder and see if that does it?
-
since you've downloaded meshes before this happened it wouldn't hurt to try. make sure to back them up though if you want any of them.

Update: Clearing out my objects folder worked? Kind of not hoping that would be the issue but oh well. xD
Thank you guys for your help! Now to replace all my meshes hooray

Clearing things out is always a good idea. Glad to hear you've found a solution, and to have helped!
