now please help me...
-
What exactly is wrong? Are you installing it and it's not showing up in Cape?
-
like... im trying to do what lots of tutorials are tell me and i just.. i dont get it... and feel like an idiot.. and im sorry but im getting stressed at this point...
-
yes. nothings showing up..
-
like i moved the files like the read me file says and still nothing..
-
Are you restarting your game afterwards? Also, if you have the default portal textures, they can be extremely hard to see, so you may want to run around a bit and make sure it isn't hidden out.
-
- Download the file from either dropbox or mediafire, whichever link works better for you.
- Go into the warriorspublic folder you just downloaded. Go into 'grassmesh'.
- Right click. Copy and paste grass.object into the Feralheart > media > objects folder.
- Everything in the 'grass' folder should be copied ad pasted into the Feralheart > media > objects > my_objects folder.
- Everything in the 'map' folder should be copied and pasted into the Feralheart > exports folder.
Go to Cape of Distant worlds, and you should be able to access your new map. The portals are a bit hard to see in cape, but should be there. (http://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=58069.msg792898#msg792898 <--- This is a link to make the portals easier to see, if you'd like. I hope you're able to get into your map soon.)

To start with, you may want 7-zip so that you can simply open the .zip. Once you have opened the .zip from that download there will be two folders, open the one named "map" and copy those files into C:\FeralHeart\exports. Then open the other folder from the download named "grassmesh" and copy the "grass.object" file into C:\FeralHeart\media\objects. Lastly, open the folder named "grass" and copy those files into C:\FeralHeart\media\my_objects.
I would have to say that this download is not set up to easily understand, but there you go. =)
Edit: And as stated before, the default portals are extraordinarily hard to see... you might have just missed it by chance.

YESSSS!!!! thanks!!!
-
No problem! ^.^
Edit: nvmd xD
-
but.. um no objects are appearing now.. did i do something wrong?
-
If you are downloading a map and you can't see some of the objects, along with putting .fho files in the exports folder, you may also need to put them in FeralHeart>media>objects
Put the .fho files in both of those folders and see if that helps
-
uhh... didnt seem to work... sorry... i... *sigh..* im such a noob T-T
-
Interesting... if you did exactly as we said, the objects should have showed up just fine. I installed and tested it and everything seems to work. =o
-
could it be because im on a surface?
-
Surface as in tablet?
-
Remember that if you make any changes you still have to close the game for them to take effect.
-
yeah the tablet with a keyboard.. (and i just got off and got back on)
-
I don't know much about tablets but if you have been able to download any type of content in the past, you should be able to download maps as well.
-
just did.. Q-Q
-
You may need to clear out your exports and re-install that map. I've had an issue like this in the past and re-installing the files worked.
If that doesn't help, try changing your rendering system by going into your 'ogre.cfg' file.
Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
Change this to either what is above or OpenGL Rendering Subsystem.
Hopefully this'll work out for you darlin'.

Nothigns still working and i did this for 5 hours straight. im sorry but. im just going to have to give up. ive tried everything everyone has said. im not sure if im just retarded and dont understand.. or theres a legit problem with the map itself..
-
I'm not sure if you're still having this problem, But it could just be the map itself.
I have downloaded many maps that haven't worked and it's purely just because they're either outdated or my files get corrupt when extracting them over.
-
yeah in still having the problem..

Are you sure there isn't an update version you could download? Or maybe try re -installing FeralHeart and adding the map into your files again.
-
I re installed feral heart like 15 times now..and did the same thing..

You could check for a more recent version or a similar map to the on you're trying to download.
-
okay..
-
doesn't seem like there is one..

Not really sure on what to say then. If someone ever opens up a map requests or something like that, You could get them to try and make you a remake? Anyway, Good luck onto finding yourself a solution.
