For meshes: what are other programs besides blender?

Im not sure if this is the right place to put this but, what are other programs beside blender you could use to make objects for fh? I know one of you said one before on here but I cant find it. Also, I tried searching for this one topic but againn couldnt find it.

Yeah, there's 3dsMax and there is also AC3D, but both cost lots of $$$
