Miscellaneous Tutorials / Temporary Solution for the Broken 1.17a EXE Patch

1. Go to Feralheart's download page.



2. Copy the full url at the top.



3. Go to archive.org.



4. Paste the link into the Wayback Machine and hit return/enter.



5. There will be snapshots on some of the months. Click on any date between 4/9/2020 to ~2024 [I'm not sure exactly when the link broke, but I think it was ~2025?]



6. Download like normal.



7. Replace the current .EXE in your Feralheart folder with this one


8. ?


9. Profit play Feralheart like normal!!

To keep things a bit organized... If you have many favorites or just a couple in each category, sort your favorites by head, body, and tail like this:

Head: Cheetah, scales, tongue, and inner ear
Body: Scales again, anything with stripes or spots, and half-dragon
Tail: You're probably getting tired of seeing scales, aren't you? Anyway, husky, spotted hyena, and the snake ones

So I don't accidentally mess up something while re-adding my files that were backed up, which ones should I add?
Materials... Textures... Exports... Maps... Would I be good with just those?

My join date. 7 years ago.

By the time I had finally found FH, 2015, it's community was already much smaller than it was prior. It had only gotten smaller by the time I finally figured out how to make an account, but the community was more or less the same.

Kind, helpful, and accepting.

7 years ago, I was a kid, an elementary schooler. Meaning, I grew up with Feralheart, and you all got to see me grow up as such.  ;D
I could be annoying & weird, and it was probably super obvious that I really was a kid, yet you all never acted patronizing or condescending to me. It's all I had ever wanted at the time, to be treated like a person!
You all made me very happy by doing that.

Feralheart wasn't my first game or anything, but it was the first forum I joined. I blame my love for all things forum on you guys, too! ;)

Even though I don't play as much as I used to anymore, the impact of this community on me will never be forgotten.

Game Help / Black Title Screen [Solved]

Everything else shows up fine, but the background's gone black. Something is wrong, but I don't know what's missing. Not even my podium's showing up anymore, it's black too, for some reason.
EDIT: All you have to do this fix this is run as an admin!

Other Games / Maplestory Influence on Impressive Title?

I've been looking into this old MMO game called Maplestory, and it has/had a lot of similar mechanics to IT. Like having to kill things to get items and skills.
Maplestory came out first in 2003, while IT was released a few years later. Is it just coincidence, or could there have been some sort of influence?
