I understand your reasons for leaving, and I do not blame you.

I commend you, for having the strenght to let go.
As I commend the ones still sticking by the community.

Good luck, Vortex.

Leaving / Retiring
« on: January 21, 2021, 11:53:09 pm »
Hello guys.

By now, I'm sure there's been rumours reaching some of you that I've left the staff team.
I'm with this post therefore confirming those rumours.

Why? - There are many reasons.
I'm older, got less time to commit.
It's been about two years now since anything really changed.
There's been a standstill for too long.

We have wanted to put so much into place, make changes where we can.

I've made many friends here, and I will cherish our friendships.
It's time for me to move on, so I'm saying my final goodbye to the game and community.

Good luck to those who are still sticking around.

Ressy out.

Helpline/Censorship
To clear up the whole "Censorship" issue, Razmirz didn't choose to remove the helpline thread because of the user posting it.
FeralHeart simply does not want to be held responsible if a user doesn't get help.
The mental help works in very many different ways, depending on the country you're in.
We've got nobody who is educated to advice in such a situation what anyone should do.
Therefore, we feel we should not make posts that seem like official advice, as it may misguide our users.

GDPR Law/Deleting accounts
To set records straight regarding the apparent breach of the GDPR law.
Once a user is banned, we have the right to refuse the said account to be deleted.
This is because we are actively using that information to uphold the ban.
Once the ban ceases, the user is more than welcome to delete their account.

I just want to point out that Sura never shared anyone's IP.

The reason why there is a big difference between Suras post and my post, is that I was asleep when previous comments were made. Meaning, so was Raz.
I had to read back on the posts and then have a discussion with Raz as he was the person who deleted it, to see what his reason was.

The reason behind why the thread was removed wasn't due to any kind of censorship, but simply that FeralHeart does not want to be responsible if something was to happen to their users. Let's say the thread told them to contact someone and they didn't get the help they needed.
People who are struggling mentally shouldn't turn to a forum to start with, unless it is a genuine mental health forum.
Why? Because there are trolls everywhere.

I've struggled with my own mental health since I hit puberty, it took a while but I can finally say that I've overcome my issues.
The only reason I'm mentioning my own problems, is because I want you to know that I can relate to the topic.
Not once have I looked to turn to feral-heart or a similar forum regarding my troubles.

The best thing anyone struggling with mental health can do, is call their doctor or local charity.

The thread won't be remade.
I know some of you guys are coming from FHU, and I understand if you have concern for people's mental well being.
I'm sure xSpirit would be happy for you to post a similar thread on his forum.
