Hello Dubstep,
I spotted your mistake straight away. You haven't locked your background layer which is the little checkbox on the righthand side and the picture of the eyes below it. You'll need to reread the steps very closely, it's easy to miss a few things.

EvilSock:
Did you save the material file? & If you're sure you've followed the steps and made the mane file a .png file, sometimes the mane glitches and you'll need to select the mane on default before switching the preset on. PM me if the errors continue with screen shots and stuff. Good luck.
