I'm curious.
It started when my friends from school started asking for my number and/or skype username. When I told it to them, they didn't question "Ruby" at first, but once they got added they saw that I do not use my real name on skype, as it is currently set to "Ruby | Sacred."
So they asked me why it was so, so I began to explain my whole situation with being a total techie, and not wanting to use my real name online. I told them, that I "would probably respond to anyone who called out, 'Hey, Ruby!'" or anything of the like.
So of course, they tested this out. In the hallway at passing time, I heard someone shout out, "Ruby!" And I responded.
If someone called you by your common username in real life, would you respond too?

my friend will just randomly yell out "ZADY" if i'm not responding to my real name...
in fact i respond more to zady than i do to my name!

Lol, i'm not too often called by my user because no one near me even knows FH exists u.u But if someone happens to shout out BLOO or BLUE then I turn around with a confused look on my face haha

XD Some of my babies already do, since I used to be on FH with about three of my very, very close friends. Plus, irl, everyone just calls me Kitkat at times since I will admit.
I'm addicted to that delicious Chocolate on Wafer. If anyone asks me anything relationship status wise, I just say. "I'm married to my kitkat. He's my hubby. c:"

Oh this is really cool topic. I will keep eye on this. I also added real life friends to skype where am named as Kate they also asked me why. I explained them like you but they didn't test it out ;)
But I am pretty sure if anyone would call me "Kate, Wolfkate or nicekind" I would react/respond to that.

Really only good friends from here know my real identity so I wouldn't mind responding to Sura in real life if they called me that but no one else... Cause I'm a ninja.

I would have responed if someone called me "Silver" (My old name). But Ive not had Mocha long enough to really respond to that, so, no.

Pshh, I dunno really. I'm known as Tachiru around the interwebz, and I recently changed my Skype name to Tachiru, so if someone shouts "Tachi", "Rinny" or "Tari" I would probz turn around. x3 Since I live in Croatia, most people don't even use "usernames" or even know Feral Heart exists, let alone anime. (<3) So I'm the weird hipster kid who spends the whole day playing one game.

xD Random fact about my name, is that I actually came to my original name : kitkatgirl, all because of being called Kitkat irl.
Strangely, I have allot of nicknames, two being Kitkat and Misty xD (long story on Misty owo)

@LordSugarboots: Tbh, it took me forever to get your name down. LOL. I had to keep going to see how it was spelled n such. But no worries, I got it now. xD
But a lot of people don't actually know me in both irl and online, only a few people know both of my names. But the only reason I respond to Ruby irl is talking to people on skype, I've gotten used to people saying "Ruby," to get my attention.

"Oh, this chick likes to be called Kitkat." and the teacher, trying to be all cool and stuff just looked and me and said. "Kit to the Kat. What's your answer?" Icouldn'tstoplaughing... Amg.
XD That was like, the best day at school ever, plus, the whole class was practically rolling. He's so nerdy. I just love him :'D

Hmm... Depends on what my User is, if you asked me. If it some strange thought up username I would not want my friends calling me out like that, you might get some heads turning and staring at you.

I actually wouldn't, I don't think, because only one of my friends know I'm playing FH. But if they knew...I don't think I would. I would just think "oh wow somebody else likes oreos too" or remain silent. This is just a theory, I dunno. xD
But a friend calls me Jello for short for my name, and I respond to it. c:

I would be all, "Lady Alizarin? Who's that? Never heard of her. Is she someone who lives in the Mideval times or something?" None of my real life friends know about my activity with Feral Heart.... and they don't need to know.

Well, if someone I know in real life walked up to me and said, "Hey Loki, what's up?" I would just kinda stare for a second.
ON THE OTHER HAND, if they said, "Maka! Oh my gosh HI!" I would respond because that's my nickname and screen name in all my different forms of reality. But with Loki, ehhh maybe. It would depend if I was in a derpy mood or not XD

I would if someone called me 'Flob' xD Mainly because some people in real life actually know my by that name as well as my real name. But if it was my username I'd probably just look at them confused like "How do you know of that name?" o.0

Well xD Two friends in real life know of the name DoctorFlob because me and a friend came up with it. But only one knows that I'm DoctorFlob here aswell, cause he's registered on FH too.

My friends nicknamed me "Queen Chrysalis" in real life. That's the reason I choose it as my forum name.
So I'm already pretty use to being called Chrysi in real life.
If someone called me "Smilo" (Smilodoncat) in real life, I would probably be freaked out. Unless it was a friend who played Feral Heart and knew my username, in that case I would probably just call them by their username back.

No one at my school, city, or area even knows that there is such a game called FH. (That I know of.) It would be a little weird if a friend or someone screamed my username in the hallway. (No really... say my username out loud...) If that did happen, I would look at the person who said it and give them a confused glare. xD However, if someone called me Kiki I would respond and not mind as much... well as long as they don't scream it in front of a bunch of people. I go by my real name at school, though. (Though my name's not common at all, so many people get my name mixed up easily... no really. x.x)

No one ever calls me Rusty irl. But I do respond when someone just says Rusty. Example,
Person - Watch out, I dropped a rusty nail.
Me - Wut? Oh ya, um ok.
I would actually like it if people called me Rusty. I have been going by the name online for maybe about five years or so. The username changed, but not the nickname. RustyTwins, BrownRustys, ZombieRustys and now I got RustBucket. One person did call me Brownie though when I had the username BrownRustys.

No one calls me Silhouette in real life, however, I DO know that I would probably answer to it. How do I know that? I've been on the computer while my nephews have been watching TV and "Silhouette" was used both as a standalone word and in a sentence and every time I have turned to look as if someone was referring to me. I'm so used to people screwing up my RL names anyway, so I'm liable to answer to anything that sounds like anything I am familiar with, including Silhouette despite it sounding nothing like my real name.

Well, if someone said White or Linger, I might tune in for a moment, but I'm unsure if I would get too overly confused over them.
However, my other nickname, Allegra (Alle or Alley for short), which I've been called by most of my close online friends for several years, now, does actually get me confused. Most prominently is when I'm at work, and one of my coworkers, Ally, gets called by her name, and I can't help but turn my head and wonder if someone had called for me instead.
It's quite upsetting, but entertaining at the same time. xD

If someone would call me by saying "Kijiako!" I would be like "Whut? Who iz Kijiako? He looks like prehistoric... REALLY, who is him? :|" with a big smile. x3

This has actually happened to me (I knew several of my IRL friends online first and very rarely give my real name online), and I do respond to 'hey, Tearless' in real life, mostly because I use TearlessRain as a handle everywhere.
I did eventually tell them my name.

Honestly.. I prefer Raw to my actual name, so I'd respond without hesitation to both! I consider Raw my second name really. In fact I have people call me Raw or Syndicate at school.. Doesn't bother me a bit, I even have the habit of writing Raw on my assignments accidentally xD

I have to admit that often in the real world, when individuals start talking or mention anything about the video game 'Dishonored', I do tend to turn my head or look up from what I was doing slightly bewildered. However that doesn't happen too often for the people I know doesn't even know of my involvement with the Feralheart community nor what it is. Even still, sometimes it's confusing but generally entertaining. So yes, if someone were to say 'Dishonored' or 'Vespian', I'd respond in a subtle way out of habit.

If someone were to call me by my username in real life, I would at least want to know who maintained my name. Or any name I have for that matter, my general nickname is often from characters I play the most like "Bene" from Benedikt and "Lafa" from Lafayette. No one really refers to me by my username, mostly because it's more of a title than an actual name anyway. So, yes, I never mind being called by my user in real life or alternative networks, just as long as the identities stay separate from whatever different platform I use. But, if they're pretty much inseparable or have the same origin, then, just calling my by either name is fine.

If some one randomly said, "Hey! Warrior! Ova HERE!" I wouls turn my head and be all like , 'Who what huh!?!?' xD! Or if some one randomly called me Kitten I would look at them strangely XD!

If someone called me Hugrf in real life... I'm not sure, I'd probably just be like "okay. o3o"
I wouldn't really mind it honestly, but I'd much rather prefer being called my real name.... though I don't really know what my reaction would be. I might feel a bit awkward... o3o
If someone said "hey Hug" then I'd probably just ignore what they called me. x3
