Info on Pride
The Masai Pride is 100% realistic lion pride, meaning they do not Tolerate Other Lions on their territory. They will be giving a few warning signs. If they don't get the hint they might get a full blown attacked by all the lionesses in the pride. They don't Tolerate cubs that aren't in the pride depending on the lioness. One might avoid or attack the cub when one will warn the cub but if it doesn't back away she would kill it. Rogue Males that know lion behaviour and can RP realistically will have the right to challenge the pride males. We want people to act realistically to the best of their knowledge.
RULES
*8 Females to start off the pride first however they all most bond. If some of the lionesses cant bond the lionesses wont function properly causing fights in the pride and more hunts to fail.
*Cubs that belong to the pride all the lionesses care for, however cubs that don't belong to the pride, avoid, attack or kill them.
*Do NOT adopt cubs that arent in the pride or cubs in the pride. Cubs that arent in the pride will be punished in some way or another when they come too close to the lionesses. The male lions will actually kill them. Cubs in the pride if their mother dies in a hunt or from an attack off another predator, not 1 lioness will raise the cub but the full pride.
*Realistic Colors only. Eyes are golden and pelt can be All sorts of Browns, Reddish-Brown, Brown,sandy-brown or paler in some lionesses.Nothing Black or Multicolored like green,blue ect. NO WHITE LIONS. That is until breeding. The paler the lioness the more chance of a white cub. However they cant be fully white as it would be twice as hard to survive. The whiteness of the pelt will be seen by all predators and prey. Either end up getting picked off by a predator at a young age. If it reaches adulthood however it will rely far too much on the pride for food.
*Males must defend the lionesses when Rogues attack, Spray territory and Mate with the lionesses to produce offspring.
*Realistic male Rogues can come into the pride territory and challenge the pride males if the rogue's win they will need to kill the pride cubs to bring the females into season. This will allow males to add their genes into the pride and world and they will then be excepted by the females. If they don't kill the pride cubs however the females will never submit and could attack them.
*Always Drink with Caution!
*Cubs Age Slowly to prevent the pride from overpopulation. This will make it harder to feed everyone and will cause pride disfunction, eventually the main pride lionesses will kick out both their daughters and sons to make more room.
*Females must time the mating so that all females will give birth around the same time, this increasing the milk supply for all cubs and their chances to survive are increased.
AGE+INGAME TIMES
0 days = Newborn up to 3 months = Infant.
(To get from newborn stage to infant stage in life will be 3 days in real life. When they are 3 months old they will be introduced into the pride.)
3 months= Infant up to 5 months= Cub.
(To get from Infant stage in life to cub will be 1 week in real life. When they are 5 months old they will be heading onto solids.The pride males will allow the cubs to eat with them at the carcass)
5 months = Cub up to 1 year = Teen.
(To get from Cub Stage in life to teen will be 1 week in real life. When they are teens they will be taken out on hunts more often and the Males will now treat them like the lionesses, kicked off the carcass. They will have to wait for their dinner like the lionesses.)
1 Year = Teen up to 2 Years =Adult.
(To get from Teen stage in life to Adult will be 2 weeks in real life. Since the gap is further then the others. Its a year apart from eachother. Females become Sexually Mature at the age of 2 years. Males may take up to 3 years or 3 and a half.)
You can find the group on FH called MasaiPride. The territory is in MasaiMara Map. The map is public for everyone to download. Other prides live there so becareful. But instead of Directing you to the thread download im Just gonna put the map download here so its easier to find. People who have it already dont need to download it, others that dont have it download it. Rogue males are free to come into the territory. If there are pride males however they will be chased out. Or a fight might start out for the pride.

that is your choice, if u choose male u can see the pride and take over, u would have to make the lionesses submit to u and since theres no pride males at the moment this pride is easy pickins for males, however your stay mightn't be for long, other rogues might challenge u if they win they will kick u out.
if u choose female u will have to approach with caution. They might attack you. You have to bond with them and they also have to bond with you to be fully excepted into the pride. Then you will become part of the pride. you must know some lion behaviour so that you know what to expect.

blade i'll get gaara to keep a space for you. Zaire see if you can meet the pride ingame. The pride will determine your behaviour towards them. If you are not accepted the pride will turn on you however if you are accepted you will be greeted into the pride. Its like a little test we do for members before they join. I've wrote your name down on paper so we know to look out for you when you come into MasaiMara.

shelby XD yes i remember. See if you can meet the pride ingame. If you find me in MasaiMara then you know i'll be with at least some members. Since Lara5000 hasnt been visiting the thread you can practically walk into the pride. It doesnt matter if the females dont like you in the beginning just Strut in and claim those girls. If your excepted you will be the only male now allowed in the pride. XD the girls are really going to look forward to this. We've had 1 encounter with a male before shame he didnt know anything about lions so he wasnt going to be let in. You'll have your hands full shelby if you succeed XD.
as for Aelitastar, is that a young adult male? Young adult males wont be excepted into the pride, and neither will cubs.

from the look of your pic she doesnt fit the realistic side of the pride. Lionesses dont have manes. The only lioness i have seen with fluff on her face is the barbary lion. Her colors and the marking on her face isnt realistic either. Sorry to say but if she was seen by the pride she wouldnt last long. If you want to join she would have to be realistic.

Mother lions use there tail to lead cubs through tall grass ect. The cubs follow these tails specially when there so small.
You must be almost close to breeding age, however if your at the stage where you cant hunt for yourself and need the pride to train you i'll warn you now that wont happen. The pride will have alot on there paws, specially if this new male comes knocking. To stand your own against these girls when you see them try changing your size to match theres. Or alittle lower if you want to but not too small as you will be chased off or worse.

oh fanta hello there havent seen you for awhile. Shelby is already trying to take over the pride. Lets just see who gets there first. Or if you 2 meet up you can join together and take on the pride. However normally these bonding sessons take alittle longer with males if they didnt leave the pride together. But yep come to MM whenever. i'll have to keep the females from Mouth dropping when they realise theres 2 males trying to fight over the pride. But if they take it together the girls have no where to hide XD.

Just keep Checking MasaiMara with elyon. If you see me and a few other people in it thats when you know that its the pride. Soon when all 8 lionesses slots are taken then i'll ask everyone what days they are free. Then we will start making RP dates up. Every few days or so giving people chances to rp with other pack/prides ect.

I would love to join as soon as I can. This is right up my ally. There is one thing I have a question about though. Do you allow 2 or 3 males to rule the pride? Or is it strictly 1? Cause generally, males group together to have a better chance of taking over and protecting a pride. Just wondering incase I make a male.

Im not gaara but I'm pretty sure about this: The male situatiion is being worked out. We have one who's looking really good but has yet to take the group. He may decide to join with another male, already applied as well. So, the chances of a third are slim.

@will156:Your lioness is more on the ginger side. We need something more of the sandy brown, little darker sandy brown or alittle paler. Anything along those lines. Her eyes are also blue, she would have to have golden eyes since this is realistic.
@lara5000:try redownloading MasaiMara again. Its had alittle update so hopefully now all objects work for people. However theres 2 males already trying to take over, i'm still unsure if they are joining together. 3 males are the max. If they have already joined up any other male might be lucky to join up with them however thats up to the males. Once they've already taken over the pride they won't allow other males close to the pride females if Caught, or in the territory.
@Miette: You'll have to join when the females actually give birth. Stray cubs won't be tolerated. Pregnancy last for 3 and a half to 4 months approx (108 Days). 2 weeks In real life for cubs to be born ingame. So you'll be waiting a long time.
@Nava: I cant see your pic so i dont know how much on the realistic side she is.
@Dea: See if you can meet the pride ingame, the pride will determine if you get in or not.
@Bri Shipman: Since theres already 2 males trying to join up together like bladeliger said a 3rd male is slim. Be a male if you want but if the other 2 see you they will have 2 options. 1) attack you and get rid of the competition or let you join and make them a stronger team. However if all 3 do join up together you will all need to sort out which one is more dominant.

What I guess I'm gonna do is make a male and see if I can somehow get him into the pride or have him become a 'roving male' (if that's alright with you. It's just a male that intrudes on the territory, looks for lone lionesses, etc, outcasts of the pride, and will sometimes band with other males to challenge the current dominants.) if he can't get in on the pride, or is killed by one of the other males or something, then I guess I'll just make a female.

Bri-lanie rogue males are allowed in MasaiMara, they can come and go as they please. But coming onto pride territory when the pride is there could get him attacked by the males of the pride. If the females have cubs depending on the situation they also could attack. I dont stop people from coming to the map or onto the pride territory. But for the territory part expect to be chased.
People who apply on the forum wont be added into the pride straight away. They must successfully get into the pride Ingame. Then they will be added on the forum.
@Will: Yes thats looking better. However i suggest you change her tail color. Lionesses use their black tails to herd the cubs through the long grass. You can choose between blacks and dark greys.

ok a 1 lioness has been introduced to the pride and been accepted. Welcome to the pride Rakuen(Twiliac). Also a male has managed to dominate 3 of the pride females. He's moving onto Rakuen now ^^. The Pride Male is Ibuka(Shelby).

Be quick as places are being filled. However if people arent able to get into the pride as a adult lioness you can be born into the pride if you wanted too. However dont forget being a cub is dangerous. Not only can you die from other predators or prey. But also from starvation, left behind, the weather or even by a rogue lion.
Since this pride is realistic your characters cant just run into a battle without the support of its pride members and even that can be fatal. Your characters can die from certain injuries substained from prey and predators.

This is until i get everyones timezones figured out and days of the week that suits them. rogue females are free to roam MasaiMara, including the pride territories. However if come in contact with the pride (Basically if they spot her) they could attack.
However since shes young she wont be accepted into the pride.

at the moment me and zuko have been quite busy. For the past day i've been trying to format my dads pc as he wants to go back to windows xp not windows 7 (he hates it). But for some reason his pc wont boot the disc. But yet i use that disc for my pc. So i've emailed by brother to see if he has one that will make his pc boot it. So atm im scratching my brain on that pc. The format would take just about an hour and then installing the rest of the components thats needed. Sukira we still use MasaiMara as the prides territory. What is you timezone?
And nikila, yeah you can be a cub that is getting born however none of the lionesses are pregnant yet so you'll be waiting awhile.

Hey, I posted my characters a while ago... sorry I was never able to get on... I was on vacation and had no internet service for a little more than a week. I've bneen trying to get my lioness kisa to meet the pride ofr a while but no one is ever on.

brilanie everyone has different timezones so when you come on others mightnt be on. I've been really busy the last few days because of my parents pc needed formatting which is finally now done thanks to my brothers cd. Then after when i reinstalled everything FH started crashing. Turns out it was custom stuff. I messed around with it and it seems to be working. I'll see if i can get zuko to come on with me tomorrow night UK time. But wednesday isnt good for me as my BestFriend is coming over, we dont get to see eachother very often these days because of our busy lifestyles so she'll be staying practically all day wednesday. So if zuko wants to come on we might get on for about 8pm tuesday UK time. However wont be able to stay up most of the night rping because i need to get up earlier then usual the next day.

thats fine twilia. I've been sick with the stomach bug for the last 3 days. Now all thats left of it is a stupid cold. I was bedridden for those 3 days and im now starting to play FH again since im alittle better. However i now play on it in the mornings UK time instead of at night. Kalie_Vanity who is also a pride lioness is having a few home problems. Because her playing on FH is stopping her from getting stuff done in the house she will be rarely on.

Edit:Well where having a few problems over here. Me and zuko are trying to get on as often as we can however since we only have 1 pc that belongs to us (shared) and the other is our parents, its hard to get on together to meet with the pride.On top of that i have just learnt today that my brother will soon be getting his keys for his new flat,once he goes so does the internet. We wont be able to play on FH until my mam is able to afford the internet. He has been paying for it for at least half a year now. So no net once he's moves out i dont know how long we will have to wait until the net is put back in.

O.O being ill for 2 weeks would make me flip. I've never had migrains that last that long. Maybe you should go see a doctor for a checkup and tell them how long you've had it for just in case somethings wrong.

However there was hardly no members on to rp with. So it just eventually died. I'm hoping to one day Re-open this pride however people will only have a certain amount of time to join, that way the lionesses get to know eachother. You don't want a disorganised pride or huntings will fail ect. But for now its closed.

wow i can't believe people are still interested in the pride. However it's still staying closed. Even if i don't want it to. I've been busy with making my own game that I've got no time now to start a pride rp.
Not only was it hard to get the lionesses on at the same time but there was hardly no activity with rival males coming into the pride since people would have to download the map to come in. If i ever decide to open it again there will be stuff people will have to read and cooperate with. For the pride to fully work we'd need dates and times for when wet season starts and dry season ends etc. How long they'd have to stay as a cub before they can mature. Cub's dying from rival males or hyena's needed to be discussed. To get the pride to act 100% realistic, i'd have to mess about with FH itself and figure out how to get moving prey as well as enemy npc's DX. Which is impossible as kov can only do that.

I'll remake this pride. Forgot about it for ages now but I feel it needs to be remade. If someone could put the map download back up, I'll make a group for it. People can join again and it will be like before. (If that's ok, I just think this needs to be remade)

Otherwise, I'm not really sure if the game owner would like you to restart this, I would think that if they wanted to restart it, they would do it themselves. But you never know, it could just be that they don't have enough time, and could be grateful. Either way, it would be cool to see this restart, and I would defiantly join.
