Personally, I like the new rank names. I think "Forum Newcomer" is more fitting for those players like myself who have been around for years, but never really got into the forum until much later.

I'm glad the Mods and MITs still have the normal titles though, so it's less confusing for people who don't know much about the forum.

I don't know if it is, but I search a little to check, because I'm curious myself.
When it comes to the opinion of the names themselves, I associate them a bit with the series "Warriors" written by Erin Hunter. As for the hierarchy, you can only orientate yourself only on the number of stars... But I have to admit that the staff did their best to associate names that remind them of a real pack or pride.

These were collective names suggested by the community over in our anonymous forum poll, Tumblr, & Instagram. Not the staff ^^

Oh, okay, so... old rank Legendary member would be mythic member and Hero member would be Legendary member. Just small idea c:

I like them for the mostpart but I feel like the names could be switched up a bit. I also don't understand the grey pelt and silver pelt names which maybe they have a meaning on them? I just feel like the names could be switched up a bit.

It’s silly to assume we’re not taking the feedback into consideration when we simply take a moment to have a little humor with the community over it. Don’t jump to such negative conclusions over something like this. Sometimes you have to let go and have a little fun too you know?

The original new rank titles will be staying: (Forum Newcomer instead of just Newbie etc) There will be some slight editions and tweaks to things going off from feedback from the forum, polls, Instagram, & Tumblr of course but the new ranks for the most part will remain.

But more seriously (although looking at these ranks we cannot be serious cx) I think these ranks are fine. The only thing that scared me a little was the rank of Razmirz - tombstones and dust. I associate with me that the server was inactive for so long that dusty tombstones were placed.
And anyway, I know that this is not a topic of discussion (and I think I will do such a discussion or include this topic in this discussion), but what do you think about the new layout of the forum?
I think it's much better. Important information has been found where it should be, you don't have to look for it. It will be more helpful for newbies and the forum generally looks cleaner.

The idea which I most liked of the layout was separating the game and site help. Maybe some people couldn't see the board and weren't aware of the existence of this which I definetly love and appreciate.

We're currently reorganizing, and a setting was accidentally left unchecked before moving. So everyone who is a forum gamer got a unintentional boost lmao However further posts will not be counted on the forum games as normal.

Not gonna lie, I don't like the new ranks.
I just don't find them good or funny.
But that doesn't mean I seethe in pure rage when I see them, since most of the time I don't even notice ranks.

I hate to say it, but I agree with this.
I know they're only temporary and made as a joke but I don't understand the large majority of the references so it just seems a little... unnecessary, to me anyway.
Though, it's nice to see the staff and higher-ups in the game interact more casually with the community! I'm just not sure if this was the best way to go about it

Alrighty old old forum ranks were changed after community suggestions were given on the forum discussion boards, anonymous forum polls, Tumblr, & Instagram. After going through a couple different community suggestions a number of suggestions stuck out and seemed to fit best. The goal was to keep ranks fun, Feral Heart related, fresh, and more unique than the original generic rank names we’ve kept for years.
Newer ranks that were partly liked but needed improvements:

Grounds Dweller
Familiar Fur
Friend of Ferals
Grey Pelt
Finest Floof
Community Champion
Silver Pelt
Heart of a Feral
Lasting Legacy
While a number of users liked these new ranks and saw them as a refreshing friendlier less competitive ranking system a handful expressed otherwise. The Elder members rank in particular was missed. Some expressed that the newer ranks didn’t have a progressive feeling to them either. Suggestions were made to switch the order of certain ranks and remove or reword others. After careful consideration we reworked the new rank names around again. We hope these are more to your liking! We’re grateful for your feedback throughout the process and good humor with the temporary Elderly rank system as we sorted it out:

Curious Wander: Incorporates the “Wanderer” title (Batch Four) and concept suggested by Bawfle in her post here as well as other community member variation suggestions of the rank.
Familiar Grounds Dweller: Influenced by community poll & Torskite’s suggestion to incorporate some map specific ranks.
Experienced Traveler: Incorporates the “traveler” title (Batch Four) and concept suggested by Bawfle in her post here as well as old rank name “Experienced Member”.
Dedicated Supporter: Refreshed community poll suggestion for old “Dedicated Member” rank.
Finest Floof: Torskite, Esarosa, A.P.S, & other frequently requested community suggestion to add “Floof” themed ranks.
Pack & Pride Representative: A mix of A.P.S & community suggestions for “lion/pride wolf/pack themed” ranks as well as Bawfle rank name suggestion for “representative” (Batch Four)
Community Champion: community poll suggestion.
Elder Grey Pelt & Ancient Silver Mane:
We know you guys missed your elders ranks ;) (looking at you WolfDog01 & Birdie. Originally the plan was for the elder themed ranks to automatically go back to you guys but due to Forum Games posts recently bumping up a number of people’s posts counts and a few other changes & additional ranks some of you elders have returned to youth <\3 I’m sorry) Lucius gave the nice suggestion to differentiate both a bit with the “mane” instead of Pelt for both.
Honored Hero: A mix of community poll suggestion & old rank title “Hero Member”.
Immortal Legend: A mix of community poll suggestion & old rank title “Legendary Member”
I’m sorry if I left any names out but thank you all for your wonderful suggestions for the ranks.
