!UPDATE!
Where to begin... First, allow me to apologize for my absence, I would have loved to have had FeralHeart+ done by now, while I didn't always have time to work on it when I did it was always an incredible source of joy to bring my ideas to life in the game. Unfortunately much has happened in the past year, one event of which I deeply and sorrowfully regret to inform you of is that the hard drive on my laptop died. With it I lost everything, all the progress I had made on FH+, my new presets, some of my music and photos, everything I had created in The Sims 3, and many of my drawings. I was devastated and had regrettably not backed up the files like I should have, something I now do at least once every other month. So where do I go from here? Well it appears I have two options, one of which I may need some help with.
One, I could sell the laptop for scrap, abandon work on FeralHeart+, and begin work on my second project which I alluded to previously as Changamko Reborn. Changamko, for those of you who do not know, was an online Lion King roleplaying game originally being developed by a team with KovuLKD as the lead programmer, unfortunately differences arose between members and KovuLKD ended up leaving the group to create his own game Impressive Title, and of course FeralHeart as its successor. My plan here would be to modify FeralHeart, like I did with FH+, to create a Lion King roleplaying world. The characters would all look Lion King-esque, the maps would all be locations from the movies or based on locations from the movies, and music would be African with a few scores from the movies and musical.
Or two, after consulting a local computer repair shop I found that there is only one place in the entire United States that could probably recover my laptop, DriveSavers. Located in California I could pay to ship my laptop there for an estimate and pay to have them attempt to recover FeralHeart+, finish the game, and begin work on the Lion King game. Unfortunately this is where I may need some assistance, after reading online reviews of DriveSavers I found that to recover data from a crashed hard drive will likely cost me between $800 and $1400, for that I could buy a brand new laptop. I do plan on sending it in just to get an estimate, but as I am currently in college and have limited funds as it is, my question is would anyone be interested in donating a few bucks if I were to try to pay for this using crowd funding? Even if I don't manage to raise enough, something would be better than nothing to offset the price of saving FH+.

The current version of FH+ V1.13 is no longer available to download, as it does not currently have Lonely Cave and that means if you create a new character in FH+ they'll arrive in a black abyss. But not to worry, I am working on finishing up an update to fix this at the moment. It will not only fix that problem, but hopefully will fix the black screen issue some users have and will include tons of new content and many improvements to original FeralHeart files. So for now enjoy FHoriginal and get ready for the biggest FeralHeart overhaul you've ever seen!
Update V1.131 will include:

- New music
- New Lonely Cave
- New character Podium map
- New Forgotten Depths map
- New Barren Tundra map
- Many new items, objects, and plants
- Over 70 new faux trees and plants
- New sound effects for maps
- New terrain textures
- All new character textures
- New character, object, and terrain shading
- Bonfire Island has been separated to create Fire Island (will reduce lag problems)
- Temple of Dreams has been separated to create Sky Temple
- Completely revamped Endless Plains
- Watermill is out of winter and teeming with life
- A shortcut from Lonely Cave to Cape of Distant Worlds
- New and improved stuff in every map
- Sandstorm adjustments
- Optimized particles to reduce lag
- New default sky colors
- New weather
- Improved non-reflective water
- Customized ENB Mod
- New install program should solve the black screen issue
- And reintroduction of wings

I recently dowloaded FH+, but then deleted it because it was kinda boring cause there was hardly anyone playing it. But I have to admit that the maps in FH+ were a lot more interesting than the ones in normal FH.
A few questions on FH+:
1. You said you were going to re-name Bonfire Island to Fire Island. Do you mean your going to change the whole map all together or is it just the name? Same with Temple of Dreams.
2. Does the Watermill change seasons? I've only ever played on it where it was in winter. However, I watched a tutorial where it was just plain with no particular weather. It would be good if it had an autumn.
3. What would really capture people's interest would be if there was finally a PrideLands in FH or FH+. I know one has been made in FH+, but it was a private map and it looked really good.
Yeah, so anyway, I'll definitley dowload FH+ again once it's been updated!

1. They will both be new maps with new names.
2. It won't be in autumn, it will be in a spring-like state with rain and flowers. However there are plenty of autumn trees for people to create their own fall colored maps.
3. I don't plan on continuing my work on The Pride Lands, it got way too big for its own good. I may one day redo it but for now I'm only working on this new update.

That because people started to complain of health related issues, which they recognised as potentially becoming very serious. Also they lasted for up to half an hour out of 1.5 to 2 hours which was annoying

I cant wait till this is done! I had the old FH+, but nobody went on it, the fich tunnels were too confusing, and eventually something happened so that the screen was always black even if it showed I was at say cape of distant worlds, and I could still see people sitting around the place, but it was all just black o.o so I cant wait for this version ^^

Great job with this. : D I'm really excited for the new FH+ and I will without a doubt be downloading it. I can't wait to be part of it's community aside from original FeralHeart and make new friends. I personally think it will be fun for everyone to be able to hang out with their buds, explore, and role play in this new world. Kudos to you, Simba! It looks beautiful so far. You should be proud.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about the flying animations, only Kovu has the ability to change those. But you are correct in noticing that there are new wing textures, courtesy of Tearless.

I have a dragon mask you can retexture if you would like! It has a bottom jaw so it looks cool when you turn lip sync on. Its really cool I made it too.

Simba, I have question.. Can you possibly add more tails, ears, and manes? I think it would be nice to have a lot more tails to pick from :) as well as ears and manes.
And maybe more animations? Like from IT, the dances and things. And the chuckles.. I loved those, and I miss them I don't know they're something to think about..

In a brief addition to the previous post, if you add more ears to the games customization, can you make them realistic and cat-like? If you can of course.

Tehnically speaking, I can see more actions being possible, but the question is: what files is it containing that data? I tried editing DLLs but they aren't readable in Notepad (makes sense) really if he were to use that to edit, such as DLL files, the files that tell the program what to do. I can see camera types for the movie maker being edited and some new ones, butcI don't thnj it will be that easy. Of course, Simba is maybe a programmer so that may be easy. But somewhere lies those files. It is possible to edit the files with lots of time on your hands and where FeralHeart reads them inside the resources.cfg but that isn't something to play around with unless you want new folders that are there for where FH reads your maps that are made. I see this possible though. Not possible? That can be a possibility but in the end, we try.
(If I don't make sense here, that is because sometimes I just write and it doesn't make sense)

It was said to be in May, but it's June now. I guess we're going to have to wait and let Simba do what he has to do with his talents with this. I would honestly love to see the items packed into Thierry's mixed item pack too, or at least make an item pack of my own containing these objects alongside the other packs itself packed into Thierry's.
I also love everything about FH+ itself too, just not the bugs and stuff.
I might download though I'm drawing closer to the normal Feralheart, but this seems interesting. :3

As I remember in the old FH, yes, but only if you're in a both FH and FH+ map, really. Like Bonfire Island, somewhat. ^^ Though it's being called Fire Island and being updated.

No, let's say you're in Feralheart+ and you see a map from the original Feralheart itself some where.
You go inside, and you see lots of people/some people. They are probably in Feralheart, the original one. Well, most of them. That's what I meant. :3 But, if the map is named different then that means that you'll only see people from Feralheart+ only, or people who copied maps from FH+ into their original FH.

To clerify: the only FH+ map you'll be able to meet with players from the regular FH is Cape of Distant worlds, and of course custom worlds. All other maps will only be accessible to FH+ players. As for a release date I can't confirm one at the moment but I can give you an update, all that's left is finishing up Endless Plains and making a new "Caverns" map. Reason it's taking so long is that I'm working full time this summer and thus far have been hanging out and traveling with friends and family every weekend.
But I promise you it will get finished (:

Good news everyone! I'm happy to announce FeralHeart + (MINUS EDITION), a light version of FH+ that will be released with the upcoming update. It will contain everything the base version of FH+ will have, but maps, particles, and textures will be optimized for low-end computers. I really hope that this will not only open up FH+ but FeralHeart in general for people who may otherwise have a difficult time playing it due to lag. Not to worry though, I only expect this addition to take an extra day of work to complete and will have no significant impact on the release of the new FeralHeart +

Oh, and as for additions, here they are. A Fluorite Plains (maybe accessed by Endless Plains?) South Pole, Ascencion Island/Sky's Rim, and more emotes, like the ones in current FH Classic! But for now, I shall just wait. ;)
Earlier today (July 21) I decided to make a map on FH+ 1.09. Beauty in my own eyes. An elephant skull emblazened in ferns and plants, a great forest surrounding it, and a mountain range on it's edges. If maps can be that beautiful in old, un-updated FH+, who knows what could be made in Simba's update to one of the absolute best games of all time? Sort of off-topic, but still!

I already enjoyed FH+ when we had to take our characters all the way to Lagfire to avoid the void-thing. Even if I knew there would be almost no people at all. Just the fact of exploring the new maps... It was awesome. ;u;
And so, imagine with all the new improvements. The new character textures, all of the revamping!

although... is Bonfire still gonna be map or is it renamed to the fire island you mentioned. That's where I got lost, and the non refelctive water... There should be an options menu where you can have reflective if you want but change it to be non refelctive. Like a checkbox for nametags if you will call it. :P

I hope the update fixes the not multiplayer glitch. Some people who played the game back then didn't realize it was a glitch at all, but that's what makes it so horrible. People can't fix the glitch that they thought wasn't there. This is proven as a glitch because when I downloaded Feralheart +, it was actually pretty active with people. But then after a day or two everyone just vanished. Not even my most active friends were online, and I have tons. Usually I always have at least four friends online each hour in the day. I hope the creator of this update will find the glitch and prevent it from happening again.

Sorry for the brief delay, wanted to have FeralHeart+ done by the new year, but a lot of personal stuff has happened over the last couple months, topped by a brief stay in the hospital ( YAY Meningitis! ). But I do have news for you, and it's of the good variety, I've nearly completed Barren Tundra, have decided to keep the updated Ficho Caverns under the name Wandering Tunnels as a more adventurous alternative to Connection Cavers ( a simple one room cavern with portals to each map ), and if all goes as planned I'm going to create two more maps as well. One will be a small jungle map with huge over sized plants and the other is up to you, post suggestions below and as soon as I'm done with the jungle map I will pick a suggestion, make it into a reality, and get this game shipped out for all of you to enjoy!
Possible ideas for the new map could be a swamp, floating mountains for flying characters, a dark volcanic world, or any other type of biome you can think of really.

For a new map... maybe it could be a Mountainous Forest. Many RPs in the Current FH would benefit with a Forest on or near a mountain. there could be a new Camps and some small dens or nest for one person or small family RPs to use. Of course there will be many trees and Bushes, with some clearing and maybe a valley within the map to! There could be some Rivers and a few ponds... or maybe even a lake if needed. There could be a mountain on the edge of the map where it starts to ascend to a point, where the very corner would be.
That is all I can think of.

1. A dark lava kingdom or something sort of like that, maybe just something lavay.

I rather like the swamp idea, myself. :3 But if I had to make a suggestions of my own, I'd say something dark and desolate. Well, not desolate in objects, perhaps, 'cause then it would be TOO desolate. XD Perhaps just dark textured objects to help even it out?
Or maybe the opposite; some sort of crystalline map (just not so much glow that our eyes bleed XD).

This is already a bit possible on FeralHeart, but items, markings, and presets on this game I don't think will be possible. They would probably have to upload the items or markings like the preset sync.

Simba you are amazing!!! I LOVED to play FH+! Endless Plains is so awesome, and the little temple in it inspired me to use in my own maps. I haven't playe FH for a long time, and forgot the way to some places but I still know my way in FH+. Even the way in Endless Plains and man that man is big and awesome! I am really exited about this new FH+ because the maps looks so amazing and those items omg... Now I just NEED this new FH+ xp I hope more people will start playing FH+ when this comes out tho. ^^

It takes a long time for this kind of thing. Apart from the fact that he has something to base it on, Simba is essentially making a new game. Remaking models, making new items, new textures, new everything. Now, to make a game, it can take multiple years, possibly more than two or three, for the more complex or detailed ones, considerably over that. You just have to practice the art of patience. Just...don't expect to see some sort of update, ever, and then when one does come it is a pleasant surprise rather than the acknowledgment an update hasn't come in a while.

It's extremely upsetting to here you lost all of your work on your computer, Simba. Not just the work of FH+ but everything else aswell. Of course, if I had a credit card, I would try to help in anyway I could, but alas, I am stuck in this recurring dismayal of not being able to help anyone.
Of course, if you do manage to gain the support you need to carry through with this, I'm certain we will al be overjoyed, yet I, personally will understand if you cannot carry on with your work, and I will support you in whatever project you plan on taking up next, be it The Lion King game, or anything else. These things take time I'm sure, these decisions you are going to have to choose, and we will all have o learn to be just that bit more patient.
Of course, as always, real life comes first, so be sure to take your time with the decisions you make, if you gain enough money or not, as you do not want to stress yourself over a computer game.
Whatever you choose to do, hopefully many, if not all, of those who support you will understand. I certainly will.

Darn, it's a real shame this happened to you, mate. I'm hoping you can get back on your feet, soon, and to be honest, I'm actually curious to what the TLK Online game might be like if you get around to it. I wish you the best of luck, Simba.

As the same is Kiaz, it's extremely upsetting you've lost all your hard work to the infernal hard drive's death. It's not going to be easy, getting back up on your feet, and if I had a credit or debit card, all the money I have at the minute would be sent directly to you.
Even if you do not get the needed support to get back everything for Feralheart+ (Which is still upsetting. You were almost finished, and then just... poof. Everything's gone) something is indeed better than nothing, and no doubt any funds you gain to get back Feralheart+ in this case will be used wisely. The TLK MMO seems extremely exciting, so at the least we still have something to look forward to, in the case Feralheart+ cannot be recovered. It's always best people look on the bright side, for even if something bad seems about, something good will always be around the corner. I just hope you always shoot for the moon, for even if you do not reach it, you'll land among the brightest of stars.

just now read it. If I had a credit card, I would lend you some money. There actually is a way to recover data from a dead or dying harddrive, but it's really costly. It's about 3,000$ as far as I know.

Well, if you are not interested anymore in recovering FH+... well I would give up on it or... or... or... if your laptop was already like really outdated.
Changamko Reborn seems interesting. With the money to recover your laptop I would just use that money to use on a powerful laptop/computer... oh man I don't know if your laptop is really really old. <_<"

Where to begin... First, allow me to apologize for my absence, I would have loved to have had FeralHeart+ done by now, while I didn't always have time to work on it when I did it was always an incredible source of joy to bring my ideas to life in the game. Unfortunately much has happened in the past year, one event of which I deeply and sorrowfully regret to inform you of is that the hard drive on my laptop died. With it I lost everything, all the progress I had made on FH+, my new presets, some of my music and photos, everything I had created in The Sims 3, and many of my drawings. I was devastated and had regrettably not backed up the files like I should have, something I now do at least once every other month. So where do I go from here? Well it appears I have two options, one of which I may need some help with.
One, I could sell the laptop for scrap, abandon work on FeralHeart+, and begin work on my second project which I alluded to previously as Changamko Reborn. Changamko, for those of you who do not know, was an online Lion King roleplaying game originally being developed by a team with KovuLKD as the lead programmer, unfortunately differences arose between members and KovuLKD ended up leaving the group to create his own game Impressive Title, and of course FeralHeart as its successor. My plan here would be to modify FeralHeart, like I did with FH+, to create a Lion King roleplaying world. The characters would all look Lion King-esque, the maps would all be locations from the movies or based on locations from the movies, and music would be African with a few scores from the movies and musical.
Or two, after consulting a local computer repair shop I found that there is only one place in the entire United States that could probably recover my laptop, DriveSavers. Located in California I could pay to ship my laptop there for an estimate and pay to have them attempt to recover FeralHeart+, finish the game, and begin work on the Lion King game. Unfortunately this is where I may need some assistance, after reading online reviews of DriveSavers I found that to recover data from a crashed hard drive will likely cost me between $800 and $1400, for that I could buy a brand new laptop. I do plan on sending it in just to get an estimate, but as I am currently in college and have limited funds as it is, my question is would anyone be interested in donating a few bucks if I were to try to pay for this using crowd funding? Even if I don't manage to raise enough, something would be better than nothing to offset the price of saving FH+.

My dad knows some people who do hard drive recovery, but I think most of them moved and I forgot where they moved to..

No real update has been made since 2014, and Simba hasn't posted much progress with it since. Bumping this topic currently seems like a waste of time and effort.
