Free Texture Mod Installation?

Hello! Sorry if this isn't the correct forum to post this, as im pretty inexperienced here. I played Impressive title so long ago, and was hoping to rejoin the community. I wanted to attempt to use a free texture mod, but I feel stuck as to getting it to show up in-game.

I am using the "Leda's Pupper Pack" mod.

I tried placing the numbered textures in My_presets in correlating numbers, but they wont even show up in Character Creation.  Should I file dump them into the Textures file?  That seems drastic though.

Any help would be sogreatly appreciated! <3

Hey there!

You'll want to make sure that textures go into the C:/FeralHeart/media/textures/masks. You should be asked to rewrite over some other files, so just hit yes to those and then you should be good!

I'd recommend saving yourself a backup file when you're messing around with the files just to revert things back if something goes wrong. We have a downloadable backup file as well located here.

Hmm for some reason it did not ask to overwrite any files, and when I pull up the presets it just shows as blank white. I know it changed something, though!  Could it be that the textures are cancelling eachother out?

I know exactly what to do! You'll have to rename the files to stuff like:
Canines: Cheadshade,Cbodyshade,Ctailshade(1/2/3/4/5)
Felines: Fheadshade, Fbodyshade, Ftailshade(1/2/3/4/5)
Then you should be able to replace the texture files
You'll need to slightly modify the shades, I recommend Gimp! C/Fheadmask5 is the texture for the nose usually so I'd start with that one. The other ones effect what shows up on head or body. (Whatever you do, DO NOT replace the ftailShade, that causes the game to crash)
