So yeah I was making a wolf game that was multi-player in memory of my best friend. R.I.P. Anyway I always wanted to make this game so I was wanting you guys to help me out. It's a big time WIP~ and mostly I would like you guys to post idea's. Also once this game is done the people who helped me make it will get to test it with me before it's released. Anyway here's some of the competitions I'm opening.

(Any negative disagreement and argumentative comments will be asked to be taken down by me. Don't take it personal I just want to keep my belief that making it wont be a bad thing. Also if you find things in the site that don't make sense it's because I'm cleaning up.)
Q: Why didn't you use your own pictures to make this instead of real animal pictures by other people?
A: I suck at art!!! Plus the pictures there now are only temporary to entertain the site viewers. I'll replace all of them with screen shot's of character's in the game.
Q: Why plushy fur?
A: BECAUSE IT LOOKS CUTE AND GOOD!!! <3 Anyway it might require more work but the fur is supposed to have each individual hair that make it fluffy.
Q: Why do we start out as pups?
A: Think of it as why do we start out as lv 1. Newbies level by beating up monsters and doing quests. You level by hunting and killing prey successfully and fighting and killing off threats or other players. Simple huh? A pup can level/age by hunting small animals like bunnies and mice and fish. Once you get big enough to chase down bigger prey go for the deer and hunt down bears if you want. Feel free to.
Q: Will we have collar's or clothing of that sort.
A: Very big maybe. I want you guys yo vote in the pole.

Anyway, question... a few actually:
1. Are you going to be color-limited like WQ? >.>
2. Are you gonna have to mark territory and stuff on multiplayer?
3. Will there be a campaign mode?
4. Are the models gonna be 3D?
5. Do you even know how to do all this? And I mean CORRECTLY.

1. no. I will allow a large variety. Only 1 thing you should know. There will only be a few spot's to color. Top fur, Bottom fur, Eyes, and tail tip. I will edit it later so you can have markings like in fh/it/a but for now the plush will consume a lot of my life aspecially if I plan to make it move.
2. It's all multiplayer. I don't plan to add a single player.
3. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this so what's a campaign mode? sorry. ^^;
4. The fact they have plushy fur that moves when they move pretty much sums up the question. Yes.

Campaign mode is a single player adventure mode/story. But since you said no Single player, mmkay. ;P

The reason is because lv 105 in a game I play called fiesta always called people like me (lv 25) a noob. Anyway I'll edit but I thought halfly noobs sounded better.

They both have different meanings. And those who use 'noob' are just being a real pain in the rear. Or they just don't know the meaning between the two.

Because... I honestly don't know. Also that's not a negative comment. Negative for me is the THIS GAME SUCKS!!! STUPID FAIL blah. Seriously those people can get a life.
Eh well in fiesta they got the right to rage out on us. If your in there stay out of battle zones at low level. I was lv 1 and they didn't let me leave. You know why? "LOOK AT THE NOOB EASY FOR ALL!!!" I waited for night and then got out.

Well, a lot goes into a making a game and often people don't realize just how much time and effort, and sometimes, yes, even money has to go into these things. You should get yourself together a team of reliable, honest people who can prove they can work on these sort of things, sketch out plans and constantly talk it over.
Eh, either way, I wish you luck with your project.

Oooooh a server to host online games is soooo expensive. Are you using a program to make it, or designing it from scratch? What coding will you be using?
Edit: Also, how are you hosting your game's website?

The Ultimate 3 Questions-
1- Do you have $3000 to spend ( monthly for server + $500 for maintenance and updates)
2- Do you have any coding knowledge for the engine your going to use ( and I've heard the whole ' I'm going to pay my cousin/friend to do it' excuse dozen times before. Look back at question 1. )
3- Do you have any 3D / Animation / Graphic Design skills? ( if your "going to learn it" then you might as well say no because these aren't something you learn in a day or 2. Go to college first. )

No. Okami, that's knowledge you NEED to make a game. Without it, yeah, you don't have a chance.

Hmm, go into programming when you get the chance to take it. I know it'll put your game on hold longer (years), but part of the course it programming a small video game, which will be a big help.
Another thing you can do is learn to make flash games; It isn't multiplayer, but it is a great start, and really easy to learn online for free. (Flash isn't too expensive either).
If you're running Windows XP or 7, do a search for Rpg Maker Postality Knights and use that. It is a free download, however it IS hacked from another program you have to pay for, so it is up to your own morals if you plan to use it ( I personally paid for RPGmaker for Vista, and LOVE it). It has an easy to learn interface, and many people I know began learning Ruby coding through it.
There are a few other free programs you can use, but I can't remember right now.

I was actually planning to hold it for years. :P Anyway I have windows XP but the computer sucks badly. Sam thank you big time. Also Gem I'm 14 so I will once I get older. It wont be long just 8 years worth wait or more.

14..? And making a game, programming and the rest? My lord. You have a lot of class to take, learning to do, let alone studying.
Other wise, right now, this is next to impossible.

This is going to be offtopic, im really thinking about closing the Thread.
WELL!
Here are my Tips.
Wait with it, learn first. Then decide if this is worth it.
You are very young, and youngsters like you are being very enthusiastic. This is nothing bad at all, but the thing is this: You see what others have made, you think it cant be that hard, they made it without being Pros. Well, yes, BUT they learned stuff about it. For many years. They started very little, making it their hobby/work.
For example, FH tooked over 1 Year from nothing to what it is right now. With constantly working on, every day improoving, reading back the code, testing.. and so on. And the creator of FH has lots of experience since he made Impressive Title bevore. Still needet over 1 year. And to be honest, 1 year was FAST, very fast.
You need to know on what Operating System your game should run, which enginge you want to use for it, which format your files should get, which 3D programm is the best for you (do not count on prices). Then you will have to think about the Soundsystem, will it cooperate with your engine? Do you have a strong Server, do you even know how to set up a Server to handle a multiplayer game?
Then modelling... are you good in it? can you low poly model? (High poly laggs) Can you set the ARmature right, can you assign the bones right to the model? Can you animate it properly? Can you connect the animations to the game engine properly? And so on...
I am not trying to destroy your buble, i just want to open your eyes. If you want to do somthing good, then first get s much information as possible and learn.. learn.. learn.. and also.. LEARN!

You put in a good point Tigg. Mostly I was planning to get everyone's ideas for the game and thoughts. I plan to collect idea's to put in.
Everyone now please post Idea's and enter your contest entries like titles and banners. Remember it's a wolf game not a lion/iguana/purple penguin game and blah. Please put your banner entry in img thingy because my DA is broken.

A newb or newbie; refers to the idea that someone is new to a game, concept, or idea; implying a lack of experience. Also, in some areas the word noob can mean someone is obsessed with things.

All of this is actually sounding very interesting to me...
I've known that games are not easy to make, I become so facinated by how some games were made and how they were designed, where the ideas come from, how long they took. Kind of the same way how I become interested how certain movies were made.
Sort of want to learn more about it haha.
So back on topic, I can see if I can come up with anything Okami :p

Like everyone said, it'll take time and money to do these things, but don't let that bring you down. Just plan things out right, give yourself the time and proper education, look into it deeply and be prepared for road blocks along the way hehe. ^^

Anyhow, making a game is one thing, but making an MMO is a whole other ball game.
There's a whole new skill set that's needed to start one.
Many have tried, got ambitious, and barely got off the ground before they abandoned the project.
From my experience it's a 99% (or higher) failure rate.
I'm not sure what to suggest for ideas, there's lots of things to consider.

her, and she is being bitten for the nasty comments she made in the leaders application thread for the warrior cats RP. I think most of her comments were either taken down or she deleted them herself, but anger issues or not she should not have said what she said (I only bit them once, Im not sure where all the other bites are coming from considering her posts are removed :/)

Hm, programming a game and making all the models and meshes yourself will not be easy, especially if you don't have any existing knowledge of it! But anyway, good luck, and I'm eager to see what you'll be able to make ^__^;

I have a troller is why I keep being bitten. I think it's Demonic-Angel.
Also wolflynx thanks for the luck. I'm going to practice and fidget with MMD models. Yes I mean MMD like the vocaloid thingy. It looks fun and it might be great practice. Also I'm looking into youtube videos of how a mmorpg is being made. Not hopeless yet. so I think weylin should fix it.

Please, don't blame it on one person Okami. You have no proof it is DA, so don't go pointing fingers. And incase you didn't know, there is a time limit on bites, so DA couldn't be the only one. 1. I just saw your karma go down and they're not on, 2. She couldn't get your karma down that fast no matter how hard she tried. 5 hours between bites okami. and yours went down way faster than a bite per 5 hours.
Please do not go around saying things about people when you have no proof, just to smudge their name. It's just petty.

Times negative karma comes from saying or doing something that isn't favoritable
You can either
A- ignore it
or/and
B- contribute to the community alittle artistically and support it someway .
coming to the forum advertising your own game and what-ever happened with this cat-warrior RPG is probably the reason why your getting negative karma; not just 1 or 2 individuals.

Well, first, they probably already did.
Second, that would just be causing a lot of argueing between you and them, which may turn into reporting each other, and so both you and the person(s) time would of just been wasted.
