Title: Realistic Wolf Fur Texture + Mods

i wanted some practice doing textures, etc... so i modified the canine's files.

- added lighting effects
- added more detail to the fur texture, and tweaked it to look more realistic (no eyebrows, canine-shaped nose, etc)
- made the default eye more realistic
- edited the pelt/underfur to be more realistic

i'm still working on it but i will probably have a download up eventually

i got tired of working on it >_> this stuff is hard. i'll probably move on to fussing with something new now, maybe the manes...

urp got tired of fussing with it so i'll just let you have it! i'll probably make a better one at some point. it was good practice either way, and everyone looks so nice now when i go online o3o

heya Sully - I think I'm going to use your wolf eyes as the new default for the next version of Feralistic ^^ ( I love the fur texture but I had already asked Usiku for their version)

Ive downloaded the wolf mod and I'm having issues.. i don't think the eye mask is working right because, well, the eyes and eyelids on my wolves are completely white UNLESS I'm looking at a wolf that's underwater, the eyes work then but only then. please help. :(

i had problems with the yellow on my characters too and my white characters didnt look white. For the wolf mod its a good realistic mod. But i didnt like the body how it was masked. So since sully said you can edit to how you like it i edited it and managed to keep the old FH way for the body but the realistic texture. I'll show you what i mean. theres no more extra underfur on the belly anymore and theres no socks on the legs either. Its mixed between Feralistics Lion Mod and Sully's Wolf mod. Since i wasnt fond of the wolf from the feralistic.

you have to open the wolfmod.rar and then open that folder to find the readme.txt file. Though I do have a question about that as well... the readme.txt only tells you what it does for the game, it doesn't actually tell you what to DO with the files you're given... so where do I put everything?

Guys, download 7Zip. It's completely free. You open the rar file with it, then EXTRACT the files to wherever you like. Follow the Read Me to place the files in the right folders.

There are instructions on how to rid yourself of the yellow-ness when you download the mod.

Kaiah, you place the files in OS (C:)-> Feral Heart-> Media-> Textures, then what I did was rename them Sully so I don't mix them up with the original ones.

IDEA! Do you think you could make a cat texture too? The wolf one is so awesome i think that a cat would be cooler yet. You've proboly already thought of this, but I think a lot of ppl would agree with me that a cat texture would be cool as well. One thing though, I'm having touble with the eye. Do I put the original feline eye in a different folder? Cuz when I did that I didnt have any eyes at all O.o which actually looked really cool XD

Sorry, but I'm new to this thing. I copied what you were suppost to put in your items folder (Heres what you place in your Item folder) but I don't know the rest. How do you copy the text and paste it in in items.cfg. I'm getting really confused, help?

The image isnt there anymore :(

Im still gonna download this though.

EDIT: I have a problem. WinRar wont let me move the Thumbs.db file anywhere, i assume it goes into the Feralheart folder not anywhere else within. Also because i couldnt move that file i think it caused the horrible blue screen error on my laptop!

I cant get rid of the yellowish colord on my canines... I have readed the ReadMe file, but I dont understand anything about the ; *if you feel your character is too "yellowy" due to the lighting effects, you may turn them off by editing "ambient 0.5 0.5 0.5 1" out of the material files.*
Please help me understand! I really want this to work D:

Lise, go to your materials file and edit the newly placed cmain.material file with Notepad. Find all the ""ambient 0.5 0.5 0.5 1" and delete them, then click "Save" (not Save As) when they have ALL been deleted.

Okay, So I ended up not personally liking this, and I knew I kept backups. But I have no idea where they went. Of course, cause I always lose things. Does anybody have anything to reverse this? My main problem is what it did to the eyes, and the yellowish color, I did what it said in the ReadMe, but it doesn't really look like it changed. I mean it looks good on some of my characters, but not the one where I was really hoping it would look good.

Could you possibly take a screenie? I think you should just install a different texture mod. Perhaps Tearless(s) mod would suit your style?

I tried to get rid of the lighting but it did not work and I really love the textures and I don't want them to go but the light wont how should I put it in ambient....
