Title: Preset UV guides -image heavy!
Post by: Nekonotaishou on February 11, 2011, 10:17:06 pm
Got the idea to color the UV maps like this, so I could see which polygon goes where and how much things distort on the models.

Hope they help.
Hope I'm not posting in the wrong place ^^;

EDIT: Added a slightly different body UV, front leg UVs are colored in columns instead of rows.

Wow this is splendid!

Would you mind if I made this an official third installment to my "Color Me Now" Easy Preset modified file collection?

Okay a couple questions...

1. Is it possible to make each side have different markings... for example a yin yang animal? How?

2. Can other people see your preset or do you look all white?

3. What are the pointy mountain looking things on the eye color?

4. Can you make each eye a different color? How?

Thank you for the time taken to answer these questions and have lots of karmas!!!

@slycan I love your meshes for object maker thanks!!!! karma for you as well!

These belong in the game help section next time, but I'll answer for you.
1. I'm not sure about this. Finding out.
2. You look like the default lion or canine. (:
3. That is the teeth.
4. Yes, color one one color, and color the other another color.

Fantastic! This will save me quite a bit of time f3ing around my presets to fix them XD One question... are you planning to do the same thing with manes? I've solved both the blockiness and awkward transparency problems, but knowing what part translates to where on the model is still giving me some trouble.
