Gamevial has finally released their first demo of Lif 2, just a few hours ago. It is very enjoyable and fun!
You can play as:
Herbivores
-Bison
-Meerkat
Carnivores
-Crocodile
-Lion
You May be a:
-Male
-Female
You can toggle that option when you log-in.
You can:
-Hunt
-Nuzzle
-Bite
-Drink
-Eat
-Feed your baby/offspring
The terrains are:
-Old Heath
-Savannah
You can also:
-Be pregnant and have offspring.
-Play single player and have mates
-Swim and spawn on trees (lol)
Simple Movements
Forward - The Up arrow (you automatically walk) To run you need to pres the Up arrow twice and keep holding it.
Left and Right - The left and right arrows
Backwards - The down arrow
Jump - Spacebar
Eat/Drink/Claw/Nuzzle/feed- CTRL
You eat and drink to regain health. You do this by using CTRL whenever your near a food source for example. Bison eats grass, lion eats meat and so on.
You may fight opponents and meerkats can even hide in a special burrow. Fun to play, but remember more animals will be added.

Instructions
CTRL (Red claw)-You attack other players nearby, or within reach.
CTRL (Green claw)-You nuzzle/feed players nearby, within reach (or your offspring)
To Eat
If you want to eat, which you must do to be able to survive is...
-For Lion, Crocodile- You must either find scraps of carcass around the landscape, or kill other players for meet. Be wise of their size since the size of the carcass depends on their size. (Bison give off most meat)
BUT to eat the carcass you must press CTRL.
-For meerkats, bison- You must find grass (it is literally everywhere), and press CTRL when near grass/shrubs.
To Drink
This goes for all animals...
You must drink in order to survive because if you don't then your health bar will turn red and you will begin to lose health and eventually die. (natural selection).
You literally go up to the lake or even into the lake and press CTRL to drink. You must do this until you have a full blue bar.
The bars
The blue bar shows your water supply. It will keep decreasing which means you have to drink water to refill it again
The red is the health bar
The green is the food bar
and if you nuzzle the opposite gender and you are a female then a orange bar should appear meaning pregnancy duration.
To change Gender
You can change it when you log in...

Welcome. Yeah hackers will probably flood this place soon that's why I sent you guys this link so we can enjoy this while hackers aren't around ^^ xD
And yes lions eat Meerkats, bison and can also eat crocodiles. You may play single player mode where you kill fake animals that still move around and act like players or you can go multiplayer and play with real players.
I would say the game is quite realistic although in real life lions wouldn't be able to eat crocodiles.

...THis game is impossible. I hate it. e.e
I can't even play for TWO SECONDS before two crocodiles and a lion jump me. ALL. THE. TIME.
And multiplayer is boring because it's deserted... and if it wasn't deserted, it'd be just as impossible as singleplayer.

^ If it's so deserted, why not plan out a FH-related event into the game? Basically, have a certain amount of folks from FH that are interested and have them go into multiplayer on an empty server! n.n

And... the annoying part is... even if I manage to run... THEY. NEVER. GIVE. UP. They KEEP chasing me... and I don't even get a chance to eat, drink, or mate. e.e And if I SOMEHOW get to the meerkat totem long enough to transform without being killed, even if I go in a burrow... they wait me out. e.e They it there... waiting for me to come out so they can kill me. So, I either get killed, or starve to death.

OH MAH GAWD. I freakin' love Lif ^^ Singleplayer is super hard though, and you can't trust anyone on multiplayer o-o

They need some way to limit how many people play as lions at the same time. Not fair when a full server is just LION.

I hardly ever get to see any crocodiles or bison. Mostly because the lion is the strongest predator and the meerkat has burrows to hide and is fast. But today I met my goal.. I had a crocodile offspring, so happy now! xD

:O I must say, I thought that game was old. I stopped playin it LONG ago, but now, I really want to try this new update. I use to love this game, but these hackers kinda took over. .-. I'll go play it now! I was obsessed with the wolves in the old version so I'm probably going to be a lion now. :3

Yeah i guess the old lif won't be crowded anymore... I might check the old lif's progress to see if it is a lonely game or not xD As for lif 2, It's epic xD I usually play as a wildebeast, meerkat or a crocodile.
Oh and I must say this
They will add birds to the game too! Did anyone notice the 5th pillar being of a bird? Well that's because the birds are coming soon~

Lif is obviously a freaking battleground... every minute, someone is being killed by someone else of their SAME SPECIES.
It really annoys me when lions just go and kill other lions... you just can't trust anyone, not even your own darn species.

I'm usually a meerkat, but crocodile mostly since they are pretty easy to use to kill lions.

What should be changed is Baboons should climb trees an elephants should run faster. let's note that this isn't the end of the updates. More are to come xD

What they should do is that they should change the gameplay mechanics. Especially on singleplayer when there are enemies running after you right when you start lol.
But other than that I'm loving this game so far :D.

Yes, there should be much less predators in single player. Because not only is your own species running after you but about 4 or 5 other predators at the same time xD. But same here I love this game especially because meerkats and elephants are fun to play xD

Elephants should run faster; I agree. I was killed since I was too slow by a lion who basically killed anyone who got in his way. I agree too that the monkeys should be able to climb trees. :)

lol i just got in to the lif 2 game i was a lion for 2 min and i died plus i go in to mulity sometimes and every one dies form natu;la thingy i think i just gliched

Lif 2 has much more animals
baboon, elephant, lion, meerkat, bison and crocodile. Also they will add birds too. whereas lif1 has only a bear, wolf, deer and rabbit. xD

I wish they would make it so you can't kill (or get no points for) killing your own species. I hate it when I mate with someone then they turn around and kill me. lD

Yeah it seems like a great idea. I'll pass that on. And you don't burrow as a meerkat. There are already set out burrows for meerkats to enter, you just need to find them floof xD

Also, I'm wondering how to eat as an herbivore. I go up to some grass or a bush and press ctrl but nothing happens. Is this a bug?

You can create a proboards account. And it's an IT server where you can play as a bear, wolf, lion, deer, rat etc and you can interact with players etc. A bit like last moon xD
