I want to go back to roleplaying in asterisks. I've realized that being realistic and super literate is just not my forte. As a neurodivergent person, I've also noticed that roleplaying in asterisks is easier for me. Don't worry, just because I don't want to participate in realistic literate roleplay anymore doesn't mean I'm gonna make mary sues/eyebleeding-coloured characters or start powerplaying lmao.

I just hope people understand why though

It's pretty hard to find unrealistic/fantasy roleplays now, I rememeber The Kreptic Circle is fantasy group, but I have no clue what about literate level there… hmm, look around on forums, I hope you'll find something soon, or create own. :D

To get more of a discussion going (as it is a discussion board), maybe add some questions such as "what is everyone else's opinion on roleplaying with asterisks?" or "what way do you prefer to roleplay?". And make sure to keep the discussion about one topic.

Personally I roleplay as if I were to be writing a story, but back in the day when I first started roleplaying I used asterisks, as that's how I saw everyone else roleplay. It all depends on your personal preference, I wouldn't call it unrealistic. Unrealistic roleplaying would be powerplaying lol.
