(To sum this game up in one sentence: Independently developed Poor mans 'Spore' with a massive multiplayer universe.)
Currently in Beta and 100% free
To join my empire, create an account, download and install the game, log in, click the right button to join an empire.
Manually type in 'The Pridelanders' as an empire name as it isn't (yet) in the top drop-down listing!
Mufasa (me ;D) will get your join request and allow you into the empire.
Immigration policy is not 'open' because of potential griefers dropping in and making a mess of things while I'm asleep.
If you need help, post here or message me in the game. (If you can figure out that F3 interface LOL)

If you like, you could make your own empire, letting you design your own species, build your own city.
It's a bit of a rough start, you're dropped into the middle of an uninhabited world and have to forage materials manually to make anything.

Rockets are fueled and ready, environment suits are for sale at the broker or armory, or available directly from me. (You can go to another planet without it, but you'll begin to suffocate if you step out of the vehicle!)
Extra bonus for the one who finds the element "Eludium" And an epic bonus for the one who finds the compound 'Lumenite"

Not a single recruit showed up!
You know, you *can* roleplay on there, and I built the species to be good at hunting without the need for weapons.
I changed the policy to 'open' so you can find it in the drop-down empire selection.
There's a massive world full of insane looking creatures, some hilarious, others terrifying, almost none look like anything existing on earth. :P
Unfortunately all the characters look male because there's not yet a way to define male/female designs separately. Hopefully this will be added in the future :D

It's a rather small download for an MMO, especially one like this with so much freedom to do anything or go anywhere. (except going to the center of a star or skinny dipping into a pool of lava... -cough-)
The game is Alpha quality, full of glitches, but it has potential, and still a lot of fun.
Most importantly - free :P

Did anyone by any chance recently hop in a large spacecraft that was in the garage and vaporize themselves in the atmosphere?
I just noticed the kingdom had 2 new players and a missing ship from the roster LOL

It's fine to take them, they're easy enough to replace.
I haven't seen anyone on, anyone else want to join? You can find the group on the drop down menu when joining a new empire.
You could start your own empire so you can design your character and receive the tutorial, and then ask me to join

I want to know how much the download is. I use my laptop for everything so it is a hassle if it is too big and I have to delete it so my computer works right.

The full installation is 150MB
The patch is 48MB (You shouldn't need this unless you actually get an error saying the client is out of date)
Once it's all installed, it takes up about 240MB of space, it's not much, the game is very light on graphics and SFX, mainly because it's low priority for them as this is a beta, and they're more concerned with code than the appearance, especially since they aren't trying to market the game. It's a free open beta, and they don't want to get TOO much attention :P

I couldn't get the game to work without crashing, so I uninstalled it.

Mine seems to go unresponsive when I click join empire at the beginning. haven't tried making my own yet though.

Sorry I wasn't on at the time, did everything go OK? The game is rather difficult at first, I was gonna try and be there to help out.
Oh Crackers, if your graphics drivers are out of date, chances are that's the reason, I had trouble as well until I updated them. That also fixed problems I had with FH

I tried to play it but it was hard, so i kinda gave up after a bit, because it was just jumping all over the place.

I'm on at the moment if you want to go on again. It's true it is laggy right now. I'm not sure what's up, it was smooth as ever a few weeks ago, something is going on with the servers.

It's a shame it took 20 minutes just to get into the damned starship, it's typically not a problem with humanoid species, but the game hates lions :D
The lag is a pain in the ass too, but when I first started playing, it was very smooth.

I don't know how I came across it, they're keeping such a low profile. I think they had an advert for it on some game wiki, and it seemed interesting.

The game was having some SERIOUS lag issues to where it was having you move 10 meters at a time.
This has been cleared up, it's a million times better, and you can actually fly something without going clear out of orbit in a single lag jump, it's very smooth now.
If you have a slow computer, it might have performance trouble, but in this case you can go to the Design studio to avoid the lag and mess around with ship designing. (Even more fun when multiple people are in a design studio at the same time)
There's a design studio right at the spawn point when you join, if you're getting too much lag, run to there, press F10, then enter one of the rooms.

That might be a problem, the game seems to need a lot of memory and CPU resources.
They are working on optimizing it, and it's better than it was a month ago, but still a bit of a mess.

Well, if you want, you can make your own empire, one made up of Space Wolves!
Oh, and I need someone to make a separate empire for the Lionesses since there's no way to individually design gender yet (Name the queen 'Sarabi'! XD)

I made two other empires so that you can choose from a Lion, Lioness, or cub
I have a closed policy at the moment to avoid griefers, but if anyone wants in I'll open them, or manually invite you in game.
