Mocha Cocoa's Mapping Tips and Trick!
So yeah. This does not explain how to actually make maps; this is for those who know how to make maps already. If you don't know how to make maps, here are lots of other great tutorials on this board! Here is where I put all my tricks on making maps, covering all part of map making! This is a huge WIP though. I have no idea if any of these things cause lag, I personally never lag.

No More Flat Maps! (May Cause Map Lag?) Its hard getting the mood right for a map, and I've discovered one of the best ways is simply by making a custom sky. But you won't get your scary theme by making the sky blood red. Certain colors portray a mood.
Purple- Discomfort, Eerie, Creepy
Blue- Calm, Peaceful, Natural
Red- Fear, Pain, Horror
Grey- Dull, Lifeless, Empty (Fog Illusion)
Orange- Warm, Comfort

Don't use solid colors, try to only tint the sky that way.

:O I did not know about this, wish I had found this sooner though!
Thank for this! Will be using it if I make maps again! ^^

I must admit that even I knew not about what ye've provided thus far via avoidin' any flat terrain in the map ye' may be creatin'. I'm curious as to what other tricks ye' have up yer sleeves that ye're willin' to share with us when it comes to map-makin'. A resourceful thread, as stated before.
