drawing for signature

I drew a picture of my character that i wanted to either post in the art section or signature but i have no idea on how to actually get the picture on the computer.Any help?
(I have a feeling I might need on of those scanners.I think )

Yeah I think most people use a scanner for that type of thing but if you're like me and don't have a scanner you can use a digital camera to photograph your drawing and then upload it online

Well what I do when I want to put my artwork on is I scan my work first, then I would digital color it and everything like that and save it as a .jpg. One you do that then save it to a media sharing file site such as photobucket and get the IMG link code and put it in your signature
