Game Discussion / Re: Your opinion on humans in FH?
« on: November 09, 2014, 02:31:23 am »
I have a lot of human characters myself (though, they may not look "human", they have the first and last name out and ready). More than half of my characters are humans. I have nothing against the human role-plays in Bonfire, Fluorite, etc., as there are varying degrees of what the humans look like (mine look like average wolves, or have "abnormal" markings/colors, etc. - as do a lot of my friends).

Game Discussion / Re: Origins of the Mate Center
« on: October 19, 2014, 02:54:38 pm »
I'm not exactly sure when or where they originally popped up. They weren't exactly around when I first started playing (though, "Adoption Centers" were big back then, too). Much like the others had said, I'm sure they only started popping up once they were slightly fed up (well, I wouldn't say that, not necessarily atleast) with people yelling about getting mates. I'm sure that's how "Adoption Centers" started as well; they saw someone who wanted something specifically, or maybe were said person themselves.

"Some of those who think they're funny are sometimes the only one laughing."

The young adult gave a small nod before moving away from his lunchtable, looking for whichever on he saw first. "Hey," He spoke with a wave, a smile ontop of his face. "Callista, I have a quick question." He hesitated before speaking, wanting to make sure that he was going to receive a positive reaction rather than a negative one. "I know, it's lame and pretty close to prom - but, would you want to go with me?" I am not good at this, am I? He thought.

Game Discussion / Re: Character Dies?
« on: October 11, 2014, 09:39:51 pm »
Just as everyone else has mentioned, no, you cannot die unless you're role-playing (of course, only with your consent ^^). I think they were just talking about people who "god-mod" or power-play, both of which aren't exactly relevant to anything when role-playing.

This is the house that the party is being housed at; there's nowhere to go, except into the lake, or trying your bet to run to the neighbors' house.

This is the kitchen; the pantry and a few cabinets are large enough to hold one normal sized person with a large cat. Not the most ideal hiding place, but it's an option.

The livingroom isn't another idea hiding place, but is large and spacey enough to run and host the party.

This is one of the three bathrooms within the house; they're all the smallest part of the house, not recommended for hiding in, but, again, it's an option.

This is one of the five bedrooms within the house. They're spacey enough for sleeping, not really hiding or anything.

The lake is very large, though stops at the treeline (at the back of the picture), and it's very deep. Hopefully you're a good swimmer if you want to get away quick enough.

1| Literate posts, please. Any literacy in OoC is perfectly fine, though I'd really only like to see literate role-play posts.
2| Swearing is perfectly allowed (as the characters aren't really included as minors), though I don't want to see it after every sentence.
3| More than one-two sentences please; just give us something to work with. No "I dunno what to post" OoC things, as well. If you don't know what to post, then, please, don't post anything.
4| Now, this is a whodunit role-play, so nobody's going to know who's killed who, who's the murderer, etc. Your character will not have any access to any of this information until later in the role-play. You cannot yell out "Jenny's killing everyone!" before we actually even begin the murders.
5| Your character is completely able to die, but I don't want characters (excluding NPCs) dying quite at the beginning of the role-play. If you simply don't want to be killed, then try to stay out of harms way. Please note that almost everyone in the role-play, especially NPCs, have a large possibility to be killed, including my own.
6| Have as many characters as you want! If you're not able to keep up with most of them, then feel free to have the murderer kill them (after alerting me via PM, of course).
7| I'll admit it - this isn't the most realistic role-play, sure. But you cannot have a ninja character. Your character cannot jump off the roof of the house and be unharmed; they cannot visit the neighbors within two seconds, etc. Humans have flaws.
8| Put "Humans are Humans" somewhere in your application.
9| If your character suspects another character, the prior may not do anything to the latter without permission.
10| Humans get intimate, sure, I get that, but your characters may not have sex within the role-play area! Bring that to a PM or skip over it, do not fade it to black.
