whenever i get a texture, i open fire alpaca, the body file, and click open as new layer. but it just covers the whole damn thing. i litteraly cant draw on it as it goes over the fur and.. i just cant explain. the thing im asking is why is it not working. oml why is this so hard to EXPLAIN. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

WHY DOES EVERYSINGLE TEXTURE DO THIS

So the texture files are actually supposed to go over the fur drawings that you did.
You're supposed to add it on as a layer and then change the layer properties to make the fur texture multiply down on top of your drawings. That way you can see both the color and the fur texture. Also, make sure that fur texture is also 513 x 513 so it properly fits over your drawing. c:

Well, best thing would be making it in GIMP.
Open texture in GIMP. Then add new layer. Above it is somethin'what you can set - it's name is normal. Click it and then click multiply. After that draw on new layer. It won't cover anything. (This "normal" is above layers place and below brushes).
