When not using a preset it looks nice and soft like fur. but when im using my custom presets it looks like nasy paper cutouts glued together! in preset maker and character editing.
Also whenever i edit one of my custom character it goes back to the wrong preset. some items switch too like the next one on this list. pretty annoying.

aaand id love to show yhall my screenshots but i have no idea how tf to pst the image since it wont let me upload from my computer and i tired putting it on flickr but it never shows in the preview.

EDIT: ok so i seemed to have made it fluffy again by using the material from preset one. it is fluffy again yaay! but now...i think it might only work for the color black? because now in the mane  can see artifacts of pixels and lines inside the mane! x''D its getting better. when i use regular mane ill just use the material for my one successful normal preset. it must be something with the material coding haha.

Make sure that you're saving the mane file as a png.

Also try using this coding for your mane:

Code: [Select]
material preset_#_maneMat
{
    technique
    {
        pass
        {
            ambient 2.0 2.0 2.0
            cull_hardware none
            cull_software none
            scene_blend alpha_blend
            alpha_rejection greater_equal 250
            texture_unit
            {
                texture preset_#mane.png
            }
        }
    }
}

(Make sure you scroll to get all of the coding)

Adding to what Syg said, try it multiple times since it might not work at first but if you click the mane it will eventually appear normal.

nonono i already fixed the white blocky problem. it first is white and blocky but i select multiple times and then the real color shows. but the way it looks is still broken. its the purple i made it, and jagged like the srokes of hair but its not soft and fuzzy. its sharp like paper and very jagged.

With the [ img] [ / img] code, you wanna place an image address in between those. Take screenshots and upload them to someplace like Imgur, right click on the image, and select "Copy image address". Take that address and put it in-between the img things. If it has ":blob" in-front than wait a minute, and then try and get the image address again.
i'm back cause i'm bored as hell.

I suggest maybe trying to use a different texture.
