I've had the simple-looking texture problem on objects that are sculpted in Sculptris and exported via Blender, but I'm not sure how to fix it either.
If you coloured the mesh, then textured it, it may be losing the texture to the colour trying to over-ride it. That happened on the fist object i made.Would be helpful to explain what you mean and also tell me how to do that, because I am not really understanding what you mean (^_^)"
