Updates of the year 2016 & early 2017
It's been quite awhile since we had some News Updates! So without further adieu we bring you a review of the year 2016 and of the current early 2017!
Board & Site Changes
Our server host and admin Razmirz has been hard at work. The forum has been updated with a new refreshing look. You can all look forward to more changes and new features to continue appearing in the near future as we continue to refine the site. We hope you'll enjoy what is in store!
Some of the notable fixes and additions:
- Most of the bugs with registration and account making have been resolved and so registration is back up after a temporary closure. You can read more about registration and how it works Here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=50461.0) (Note: Make sure you link an active email with your account, if not then please update your email address.)
- Cleaned the site of numerous broken, defunct, and or improperly activated accounts.
- E-mails and usernames can now be changed/edited.
- Removed the ability to have problematic symbols in usernames.
- Fixed the forgotten password system.
- The login page for the game has a lower refresh time now. It only needs one refresh every hour.
- The Preset Sync has been updated and simplified to an easier and more practical version. You can download, and read about it HERE (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=39845.0)
(Please note that since the site is sill a work in progress there may be some kinks that still have to be worked out. If you encounter any troubles don't feel too shy to note the issue to a member of the staff to bring it to our attention)
Game Changes

In June of 2016 we released a new "patch" for the game. There has been many mixed opinions surrounding this update and we staff have taken note of all of your feelings regarding such. We do have plans to bring more updates in the near future, and although we can not guarantee anything specific as of yet I promise you that the entire staff will work to bring more of what the community wants, this is a patch for the Community afterall! :)

We've managed to have quite a few successful movie nights with the community over the last couple of months. It's always great to kick back and enjoy a film with the community, especially when we get to introduce the favorite pass time to newer players in the community. It's always nice to look back on what happened during the year- it all looks minor but actually 2016 certainly seemed like FeralHeart's busiest, and most successful year with it's game and forum updates. It's certainly going to encourage enthusiasm for 2017, as no doubt there will be lots of input and lots more work on incoming updates. New members, meaning more wonderful floofs to meet and greet; more helpful ones meaning more members of the season- who knows what 2017 will bring? With the wonderful Kynvuu also being added to the Staff Team (another congratulations to the dear <3), all this might be a good turning point for the game's future; I certainly have a feeling the community is going to expand and the family orientation of it all will come into play.
Cannot wait to see what 2017 brings for FeralHeart, keep up the good work both the FeralHeart Staff Team & The FeralHeart Community!

A lot sure has happened in the last year for us, hasn't it? A summary of everything makes me reflect on what these changes have meant for us all, especially with the new game update. I'm so glad I decided to return this year. In fact, I regret not coming back sooner. I've met a lot of amazing people here in my time back. Thank you for the congratulations as well. I am so happy that I was thought of to be a MOTS this year and it means a lot to me to still receive such positive feedback from that ^^. Congrats to all of the other MOTS last year and to all of the Preset Contest winners. And another thank you to all of the staff--retired and new. We wouldn't be able to have all of this without your hard work and big hearts. <3

Thanks for the news update Sura! It's really nice to know things are still moving along. Ooooo, an update!
Glad to see one of these, I do want to say thank you to those who did nominate me and vote for me last Spring for MOTS, and I am still glad I happened to earn the title, definitely a very exciting time for me. I have been rather absent since then, mostly due to starting college and such and hope to be around some more to see the new updates and work on stuff to share with the public hopefully!

Can I download Feral Heart on my Macbook Air because I really want to play. I tried to do the way you guy told me to do for Mac but I had a feeling that it kept giving me a virus. I dont want a virus on my Macbook so is there another way to do it without getting a virus and a simpler way.

A lot has changed over the years, it is lovely to see.
Thank you to each and every staff member for

The whole movie night concept is really awesome to me,
I have yet to attend to one and experience it fully!

Ah, 2016 was quite the exciting year for FH! An update was definitely something I never expected to happen, but I'm very happy with how everything has turned out.

We usually send out an update for each season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter), so the next update will likely be a spring one! We likely won't have one ready by March, since we like to put as much effort and content into each update as we can and implement it in a seasonal way, and the most recent update was only posted a month or so ago. c:

- Removed the ability to have problematic symbols in usernames.

- The login page for the game has a lower refresh time now. It only needs one refresh every hour.

In June of 2016 we released a new "patch" for the game. There has been many mixed opinions surrounding this update and we staff have taken note of all of your feelings regarding such. We do have plans to bring more updates in the near future, and although we can not guarantee anything specific as of yet I promise you that the entire staff will work to bring more of what the community wants, this is a patch for the Community afterall! :)

I've heard that people from now on cannot register for feral-heart. Is this true? Because when I reviewed your post, I didn't see anything regarding registering. Or, I have poor eyesight.

Registration is currently on a on and off system at the moment.
It is open at random times but very frequently, most of the time the staff will announce registration openings on their Tumblr page.
(Well they used to, not sure if they still do.)

I don't think I said this earlier but thank you for this update! Congrats to everyone and their new roles in the FH community, your work is truly appreciated here, as well as farewell to those who have parted from us. You will all be missed, thank you for all you've done for us. Quite a change has happened for Feralheart in the past year. I look forward to the next update.

I need some help!
I downloaded the new Preset Sync and now the Play Game tab on the website won't log me in! It just shows the part where you enter your credentials! Clicking Login reloads the page with the same thing!

Make sure that once you login to the 'Play Game' tab, that you keep it open as you play Feral Heart. This is what ensures you stay connected to the game.

You can change your username through the User Panel here (https://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=55). Sign in with your current username and password and then scroll down until you see the Change Username section. Fill in the new username you would like and your current password then click the button that says "Change" below those input fields. This should do the trick!

We want to maintain some aspect of surprise, so I don’t want to give everything away. I will say, however, that we are adding new maps, although instead of strictly staff-created ones (like the latest patch), we’ve selected members of the community to create them with our assistance. We also have threads on the website where you can submit textures and meshes, which could lead to involvement in the patch. The patch is still in the works, so I cannot guarantee anything specific for FH’s patch future, but hopefully other additions will make their way into the game.

It is possible to update things within the limitations of the coding. Thankfully it was made easy to mod'

Nice to see something like this, to see the changes that not only the game has gone through but the changes in the community as a whole has gone through. Hopefully there will be another yearly update, whether it be something major or minor c;

Pretty much nobody on F.H knows where Raz is or how to contact him, so it's either the staff puts together another small update or we just never get another update until Raz comes back.

KovuLKD is/was the developer of the game. Raz is the server host and maintains the server and site for us.

KovuLKD disappeared many years ago and is the one with possession of the source code. No one has been able to contact him.

In case you don't know, i made up sky wolves. They are kinda like wolf dragons but different.
How to join: Reply to this message saying you want to join. The first person to join will be awarded pack beta!
Rules: You must obey the alphas and betas or you will be kicked from the pack. You can only be a canine, any colour though and you must have at least one type of wing. Antlers are optional, but only the Alpha (Me) can have Aged Antlers. Our official meeting place is the pool in Cherika Valley (to the right of the portal as you come out)
Requirements:
You need to be online quite a lot, you need to have at least two hours per week online time. Only communication via Chat, no personal info like telephone numbers shall be shared within the pack.

We go hunting and it is a semi-realistic RP. We act like wolves but we can fly.

Pups are welcome, except they can't fly till they are at least 12 months old. Then, the "Flight Trainer" will train them to fly. You can become grounded, which means you can't go flying or leave Cherika Valley but you can only be grounded by the alpha. If wished by the alpha, another person can move to a higher/lower rank. Join by sending me a buddy request and if i'm online, whispering to me. Or, like i said earlier, reply to this message. we will meet on Tuesdays at 4:00 - 6:00 (Be aware sometimes i can't make it), Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays same time, 1:00 to 3 or 4:00.
