Malware?
« on: December 17, 2016, 11:47:46 am »
I have trouble with the ads and malware. First of all, some of them takes me minutes to get out of. And they're annoying. So I can't find a way to remove them. I get them everytime I log into this site, or in the play game. All help is appreciated!

Most of the time, you can just close the tabs that open up. But you could always try an ad blocker.

The ad's could be due to a virus that has somehow made it to your computer that your anti-virus is somehow unable to remove or block, this can happen due to the various downloads that you probably do on websites that are supported by ads. Try running a computer scan to ensure that it is in fact on your computer, otherwise follow Arctic's advice, below are some adblockers for different search engines;

Firefox Ad-Blocker Plus
AdBlock <-- Suffices for all browsers. (Chrome, Safari and Opera)

Try one of the best, free anti-malware sites for additional protection. Most of the ads are usually just browser internalized and are fixed using an adblocker but if you are still a bit suspicious, use this: https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Another great threat blocker that I have is called, "WebRoot". It's quite a few bucks but you can get it for about $30-50 when buying a computer/laptop. It's good for a year and then you need to re-new it. But it's fantastic! I went fromAVG to Norton to this. Gotta say I'll for sure be sticking with this. ;)

The ads on the FH website reset every 6 hours, so if you open the FH website page and another tab opens up, that's normal. Just quickly exit the tab and if it asks you to "Leave page" just keep hitting yes.

You are amazing <3
