Lol but remember you might end up the prey. If you play the gazelle vs cheetah version, however, you can joust other gazelle and kill them, taking their whole herd. It's awesome. But I suck at jousting XD

I haz this o.o My favorite is shark vs seal because in lion vs buffalo The lions ambush me and in gazelle vs cheetah the other male gazelles won't let me get more than one doe -_-

It's really fun though, but does anybody know how to fix a black ground? DX

Hmm.. I don't...but in the lion vs Buffalo thing its boring since I never understand whats going on. Plus, the only way to win is if the lions all attack one buffalo, or if the buffalo all work together to fend off the lions. But the buffalo are always, "Wee wee I'm running and drinking and eating!! Look at me! Wee!" And the lions are like  "SPREAD OUT AND EACH TACKLE ONE BUFFALO! I'M SURE ONE OF US WILL GET IT!" I'm like "NO u idiots work together." Once, when I was the alpha lion, II threatened to sit by and do nothing if we didn't work together. They were like "Fine, u jerk." So I said, "Let's all go after that buffalo that's eating over there. No buffalo is by him so nobody can protect him." So, I lead the attack, and I attack the buffalo and...!

They all went after the buffalo standing in the middle of all the other buffalo in the water -_- I was like:

  O:<<<<<<<< WHATS WRONG WITH CHU?!

Lol it was hilarious. Two of them quit all in rage mode lol The buffalo were like MUHAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for presenting this game to me! I will get the game and talk to my cousin, I can get you the answer in Friday. But you might have to desinstall the game, and clean every single trace of it, then re-install. Mostly works.

Okay.

And also, once you start playing, tell me which episode(s) are/is your favorite and which are you best at?

My favorite is Shark vs Seal. I'm good at being the shark mainly because I have quick reactions to things and I am good at stealing others' food. Plus, I only sprint when I need to ^^

Ever since WolfQuest kinda went south, I've been looking for a decent 'animal survival' game, so maybe I'll give this one a try.

Yea, I, Predator is a very fun game. The only thing I hate is that you get hungry WAY too quickly. I mean, humans can go around six weeks without food, but apparently antelope can't go five minutes without food, even after filling their bellies way past being "full". Plus, predators have an even longer limit to how long they can go without food, simply because it is hard to get food in the wild. But, I once died from hunger as a cheetah in about a minute.

Very unrealistic. But the rest, like the hunting style of the animals, is realistic. Like the sharks usually have to make a quick sprint from below and aim for their prey's bellies. Cheetahs will stalk and then make long chases, finally bringing down their prey simply with extended claw strokes and bites. Lions must all work together, keeping silent and unnoticed, then all attack one buffalo.

The only thing I regret is not having a Hyenas x their prey. I mean, hyenas can keep at 60 km\h for more than 3 kilometers! Cheetahs run faster but they  don't last as long.

Very true, Drago. The ones I would like are as followed:

 Eagles vs Rabbits
 Bear vs Deer
 Polar Bear vs Seal
 Snake vs Frog
 Lion vs Elephant
 Wolf vs Deer
 Komodo Dragon vs Water Buffalo

What do you guys think? *puppy face*

Those all sound great, except for the Lion vs. Elephant, which isn't very realistic. Lions and predators in general tend to leave adult elephants alone, but lions will kill an elephant calf if they get the chance. So maybe that could be changed to 'Lion vs. Elephant Calf'.

Komodo dragon vs water buffalo could be changed to something more believable but I dun know what komodo dragons eat so ignore me if i'm wrong xD
Title: Re: "I, Predator" -AnimalPlanet
Post by: catsanddogsandbirds on March 03, 2013, 07:53:37 pm
Well, Komodo dragons DO eat water buffalo. They have "toxic saliva" so when they bite the buffalo (which is MUCH bigger than them), the poison enters the wound and, eventually, kills the buffalo. Even though the buffalo is about five times larger than the Komodo dragon. Quite amazing, really. ^^

 EDIT:

That's true...but then again it IS possible. So maybe as you progress you could get bigger and bigger (as an elephant), until you're nearly impossible to hunt. Sort of like the Shark vs Cape Fur Seal, except in that one you get faster and faster (seal) and stronger and stronger (shark).

DOUBLE EDIT:  Oh, and maybe you can keep growing your pride (lions) or herd (elephants) as more members or NPCs come. Then, as a lion, if your pride is big enough, you could take down an adult elephant ;3

Yea. We are, in fact, indirectly causing some of those animals to be endangered. Because of our fancy medicines and squeaky clean environment, illness has had to evolve and evolve to be tougher and less easy to cure so they can survive. That is why some animals are dying. Before what was a simple flu cell that your body could easily shove off is now a super strong, super tough invader that can kill. That is also why the flu has gotten stronger and stronger each year. I have a few theories that I believe have the highest chance of working in a human apocalypse. The first is the universe imploding...but the second is some sort of illness (probably cancer or the flu) will get so strong where there is no cure, wiping out people is mass numbers. Perhaps, even, they could end most life on Earth.

 Just a thought. XD

We're starting get a bit off-topic here, but are you implying that we should not have medicine or clean environments?

I never said either. I just think that that's why all these illnesses have gotten stronger. I'm just a kid. I'm not sure how to stop, or even if we can. ^^

Oh! And I just came up with another one:

 Fox vs Rabbit

The annoying thing is, on Cheetah vs Gazelle, when you're the cheetah, everyone just gangs up on and attacks you so you don't get a chance to eat. It's annoying, people! Don't do it!

Post by: Wolfexpert79 on March 05, 2013, 08:33:33 pm
Thats never happened to me as a cheetah o_o the only problem I had was that everyone stayed super far away and I starved DX
Now, in lion vs buffalo, if your the lion everyone's gonna be chasing you xD

I'm pretty good as a cheetah; I survived for over 7 minutes once, made about 11 kills. Meow ;) But when the gazelle spam-attack me, I teach them a lesson by going on a killing spree. It usually works. I'm normally a good cheetah, I'll kill the hinds rather than the stags, and only kill to eat.
But apparently that's not enough for some people!! >:o

It's hardly fair though. At least give it a chance to eat something before attacking it.

This is true, and although I couldn't imagine it happening in nature, it's a good, yet risky, strategy for surviving in this game.

I also hold no pity for the cheetah. You must keep your distance from them or stick with another herd otherwise they'll pick off all the does that you've gathered. It's only fair we give them a beating, even if it does lead to their starvation.

It's satisfying when it's successful, yet irritating when you're the one being beat about, but I can accept it.

Of course they would - even though the cheetah isn't the most muscular of big cats, it can overpower a gazelle. Besides, gazelle are very flighty and cautious animals - it's extremely unlikely they'd rebel and attack a cheetah.

Yes. that is true, but us people playing the gazelle? We aren't gazelle. We're people. XD Humans think differentley than gazelle, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. If we were playing humans against...or I dunno...dinosaurs or something, it'd be totally fine if we randomly all attacked the dinos. I really don't understand why people get so upset when we do that. It rarely ever works, anyway, so if you're feeling bad for the cheetah or think it's unfair...think again. XD Most of the time, while attacking, we get killed.

I suppose I just like things to be realistic and encourage people to be realistic in things like this. I know as humans it's impossible for us to know how gazelles or cheetahs think, and some people will interpret predator and prey relationships differently to others. I think gazelles would flee a cheetah, other might think gazelles would confront a cheetah. But going by the videos posted, it looks like both scenarios happen.
