Title: Stats and Bios
Post by: yourlocalcrow on August 15, 2016, 10:04:37 pm
Hello my fellow FeralHeartians! Today I thought I'd give people who struggle with their bios and character stats something to work with. Let's jump right into it!
Name & Quote This is typically at the top of the bio as a type of header.
The quote can be a line from one of your character's theme songs, something they may say, something they've said in roleplay, or just about anything that you think sums up your character.
Right below the quote, you should type out your character's full name.
Spacing can be used to emphasize pauses, and generally make it look cool.
For example:
"In the end as you fade into the night Who will tell the story of your life?"
T E A R - D R O P P E
You can arrange yours however you wish.
First Block This is the first part of information. This should be the most important things, such as the character's sex and gender (Which ARE different!), age, and species. Since I like to keep my blocks in lines of four, I also tend to add weight.
You can make the bullets just about however you wish. I'll be showing you two styles.
|X| Physically female X Mentally female |X| Gray wolf |X| 2 years X 3 1/2 months |X| 104 pounds
I prefer the first, as it's not as time consuming and leaves more space for other things down the line.
Second and Third Blocks These are the relation blocks. These will include friends, enemies, and lovers.
You will be continuing the bullet style you've been using.
Style 1:
-Friendly with none -Friends with none -Dislikes none -Hates none
-Crushing on none -Wants more with none -In love with none -Heart broken by none
Style 2:
|X| Friendly with none X Friends with none |X| Dislikes none X Hates none
|X| Crushing on none |X| Wants more with none |X| In love with none |X| Heart broken by none
Fourth Block This block may be a bit longer. This one keeps track of kin. Parents, siblings, young and adopted young. You can modify this to your character's needs, for example foster parents or adoptive siblings.
Style 1:
-Daughter of ? x ? -Sister to none -Mother to no pups -Adopted no pups
Style 2:
|X| Born to unknown wolves |X| Sister to none |X| Borne no pups X Adopted no pups
Fifth Block This is where some people seem to get a bit confused: stats. Strength, agility, intelligence, and one other stat more related to personality that you get to dictate.
Strength and agility are directly tied. Say you were using percents, if the character's strength is 75%, their agility is 25%. A character can't be both quick and strong, as muscles get in the way of motion. Take the cheetah for example. They're extremely fast, but they're the weakest of the big cats, as they gave up strength for agility.
Sixth Block This block can be used for most anything you want. I, personally, use it for themes. The ones that most represent the character are at the top of the list.
-Heart beats to In The End - Black Veil Brides -Tail taps to Break Your Halo - Andy Black
