So i made a map with gimp: Drew it, smudged it slightly, guassian blurred it and then saved then i opened mapmaker typed in wolff.png (Name of the map) and it closed and said feralheart.exe has stopped working, what did i do wrong? the only other thing that happened was when i saved it it said would you like to export or ignore? so i clicked export

Is it in greyscale?

Hmmm... Ya, is it in grey scale???? If it isn't it doesn't work. That's the only problem I can think of. I make Alot of maps...so yes I've messed up some and that's the only reason I think it could be a problem...
If so here's how to fix it
1. Go to gimp
2. Open files
3. Pick your map terrain
4. Click new page (DO NOT EXIT OUT OF FIRST ONE)
5. On new page MAKE SURE YOU HAVE grayscale!!
6. Paste
7. On docuable diologs get out layers
8. Ancore down Layers and save
Sorry for it not being very discripted...not on gimp ATM, on iPod. This is how I fixed it. If you didn't understand just PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as i can.

What Rimfrost said could be the problem.
Also, I dunno if it has anything to do with it, but maybe it's the size of the file? I have my height maps set at 513x513.

Requirements:
513x513
Grayscale
Is now, and was always one layer
Things to try:
Switch the format to something else, then back.
Copy the image, close out the image so the image program is blank, and paste it in, then flatten it, and save it.
Switch it from Grayscale to RGB. then back to Grayscale.

Oh! i figured it out, there was a pasted layer...
