Title: Texture help?

I'm trying to find some new ground textures and new textures that I can use for the trees... but I'm sure how. Can someone give me a quick walk-through of how to make my own materials and terrains?

I tried looking through the member tutorials, there were none about creating textures/terrians. However, I did not think of looking through youtube, I'm a derp like that :P Thanks Wolffox.


And just searched on Youtube, none there either. Lots of preset markings tutorials, but no textures for like... creating a new tree or something.
