In a land long ago, before the age of man had begun, animals lived in peace.
Nature governed who lived and who died, and when two forces clashed, there was usually no bloodshed...
However...
Chaos held one pack of wolves firmly in it's grip. It was a terrible time of pain and hunger for power.
Only the power of an Aura Keeper with the strongest will could save...

Well, there's the little intro about They Kyar Wolves, a comic by myself. I'll be posting pages when they're finished in the second post, character bios in the third, and alerting people of needed cameos and the like here.

Updates!

10/26/11 ~ I'm going to be doing updates because this is going very slowly. I'm going through a lot, so weekly updates will be altered to probably monthly updates, if I'm lucky. Thank you all for being patient.

1/11/12 ~ Well, I'm super-duper slow XD Life's gettin' in the way, but don't worry, all of you I said would have cameos will make their appearance eventually. But honestly, probably not for a LONG time. Oh, and page 8 will be the last to be drawn in my 'old' style. The new style, at least, I think, it much better :) You'll see starting page 9 ^^

1/21/12 ~ Yay! It didn't take so long! XD I hope you enjoy page 9 and my new style :D I like it a lot better XD

Kiari: Despite her young age, Kiari is the brave and loyal Elite Guard of the Kyar Pack.

So you don't get confused :)

Alpha/Alphaess: The Alpha is the male leader of the pack. He is usually the most powerful wolf in the pack, but rarely an Alphaess has a bit more power than the Alpha. The female leader, the Alphaess, is usually wise and strong. Both Alphas usually mate for life and, even if they are challenged for their rank, they usually win. If they do loose, however, they are still seen as Elite members of the pack.

Guard: The guard are the hunters and fighters of the pack. They protect the pack and hunt prey for food.

Messengers: These swift-footed pack members are relied upon to carry messages across long distances to other pack members and sometimes other packs. They also scout the territory and regulate the borders.

Hindu has a huge scar going down her right eye and all the way to the tail tip and she's blind in her right eye. Her front right leg is a burn scar.
Personality details: Hindustan is very smart and kind, though isn't afraid to give orders or call you 'stupid' from time to time. She loves to be sarcastic about stupid situations, and is calm even in the worst of them.

I have no clue if your accepting applications yet, but if not then just ignore this post. I thought it would be a great way to use Hindu since I'm /just/ now getting her preset done and I've had her since I joined FH

Personality details: She is a fierce and determined, Huntress, Warrioress and Friend. She is close with Kraven but shows no jealousy.

Her Bright Poison Eyes are often intimidating and her silver coat makes it pretty hard to see her out in the snow. Her Two Green Marks are birthmarks but she does not know what they mean.

She isn't really that heartless, and can sometimes show kindness, care and happiness to other wolves beside Alpha Kraven and his Alphess/Mate.

(Could she be the Beta Female?)

Hmm I love the idea and the personality of the character, but there are some problems.
Mainly, only two wolves in my entire story have markings; Kiari and Syri. They are "special" in a way, which is why they have those. No others in the story can, I'm afraid.

Second is that I already have a beta, but I do have an idea where she'd fit in. Possibly a friend of Syri's, or maybe an Elite.

Or unless you'd like her to be more of a bad character (not evil, just on the 'bad' side), there's not much I can do unless she's just a background character, I'm afraid.

Maybe Kraven could have exiled her, when she didn't do the thing she was accused of, causing her to hate Kraven (She still loves him, They were close). She becomes a member of the bad side (As They were the one who caused it) but does not know it.

And You can maybe show a flashback or something, like him thinking about Searra, The Good Old Days (In A Weird Way)

Just make sure she is close friends with Kraven, that's all. And She can be good.

Sure, It's realistic colors but it's not a realistic marking you'd see on a wolf.

Calm down you guys. I'm sure that your green markings aren't near that realistic, and Joy's wing markings? Come on, I'm not trying to get involved, but still. Kraven's markings are part of his coloration. They are a tint of his color, same with Hilah and my own character, Hindustan. Neon green and helmets/wings, come on guys. That's a bit uncalled for. Raiven isn't asking for much, just that you keep your characters realistic in the fact of the colors on them. Don't be such babies when Raiven calls you out because of your characters' markings.

Not all cameos entered will be accepted, btw. Yu guys are more likely to have cameos, of course, cuz you submitted characters first. But, I am not changing the story of my comic for your character. Honestly, their name may not even be mentioned. The gray male in the third and four page? He's a cameo as well, from one of my close friends. He may not even show up again. It's as simple as that.

Okay, I agree with all the facts.
It's just that it annoyed me with the facts that I have to change my character.

Instead of the Neon Green Colour, I just have it as a tawny color.

Maybe you'd better just pick a different character. SOmething you don't have to change? And besides, Searra's marking is too similar to Kiari's, even if it isn't green. Here, I'm going to post drawing I did of Kiari now. Look on the first page.

What are you talking about? Look. Your original and only reference picture is a silver white wolf with green eyes and markings. What marking are YOU talking about?

Lineart is wonderful, Copper :) or perhaps download and try using GIMP. It's like free photoshop. Then you can make presets too :)

I have not used gimp to make a preset yet but its good for Maps xD My mom has Photoshop on teh Other Computer But she gets on it more then her laptop anymore cause..... I Have it xDDDDD and either way some Wolves have Tracking Collars but I know, I just did the medal/collar for fun I just draw on Medals and Stuff for fun :P

Tylic is grieving about the death of his mother in front of a small pond. The forest behind him is alight with fireflies, who are prominent in the forest. The forest and the pond are part of Kyar Pack's territory (I will be drawing a basic map sooner or later), and Kiari is coming from the forest to talk to Tylic, who hears her and turns around.

The limits to colors are semi-realistic. Meaning mainly natural tones with slightly unrealistic patterns, markings, etc. Let me see what you have, and I'll let you know if it works or not :)

I might be able to give you a fan-art of somebody. Not my own lineart but yeah, just colored in, since I'm feeling artistic this week.

And I'm thinking and Syri's personality seems to remind me of the song "Better than Revenge" by Taylor Swift, actually, the girl who she sings about.

I'm glad you liked the picture. I consider it a lot of work, since I had distractions while doing the picture of Syri. And I added that little bit of speech because from first impressions, I can imagine Syri saying that.
