Title: Adding Water?

Nothing I have found can explain this to me. I have made a test map and mask. They are both just a river and empty space. They work perfectly fine via terrain, objects, etc. What I cannot figure out is adding water to the river. It goes through the middle of the map. I can upload pictures if needed. I have figured out that Ocean is the Ocean on the side. I have tried water material, trying Water.cg and Water for the material. Neither has worked so far. I added a small white patch that made my character swim if on flat ground on the white, but it shows up and does not add water. I cannot figure out how to make the river filled with water. Please help?

i can only say that ocean is how you make the river and what you do is just lower the hieght of the ocean so it is in the river and not on the land thats all i can say sorry((my firends told me thats what you do))

Alright. Well, I'll keep that in mind. Not sure how much help that will bring seeing as the Ocean is outside of the map. And your karma isn't the highest in the world.

They're right. You have to use an ocean. Lowering the height of the ocean will fill only your rivers and not the land. Yes, there will be ocean all around the map, but that's the only way to fill bodies of water.

Now, maybe I just don't understand your question, but what zakari said was correct. Add an Ocean. Or place water panels from the Objects tab.

You can add water that is not the ocean.  Do this by use the "NEW WATER" button on the "OBJECTS" tab.  This will give you a "water pane",  Place it where you want it.  If you need to change the size of the water pane go to the "CONTROLS" tab select "water", then click and the "water pane" you just placed.  You may need to play with it awhile or use multiple pane.

You can also use the panels, as said above. It's just easier to use an ocean. xD

Yes, and adding an ocean also gives you a reflection.
