Title: Object Question
Post by: Dawn_Twilight on August 20, 2011, 08:07:07 pm
When you have made a map with custom objects you've created what files to do put in the download and where do the people put them after they've downloaded it?
Please help!

Okay, so did you already export your map? If not, save it and simply click 'export'. After that all of your objects and the stuff you used for your map should be in your 'exports' folder. And that files are the ones you have to put up for the download. Then tell your friends to put the files into their 'exports' folder as well.

Yep its all exported and stuff. When my friends put it in their exports folder though, the portal isnt there (they logged off too and came back, still wasnt there)
So like, custom made objects don't go anywhere special?

Hm, not anywhere that I know of. And it's also weird that they don't see a portal. But you do have a .fhm file, right?

Well actually its not my map XD I'm asking for him LOL but everything is all the right stuff because he can get into it and everything? I'm just not sure where else I should put all the files he gave me if they don't work in exports? Beside them they say CFG file, and one says MATERIAL File.

It's normal that he is able to go to his map, because he's the one who made it. You always have a portal for the maps you made.
Also, I'm not sure what a CFG file is. And usually I don't know of MATERIAL files related to a map :/
