10. Disturbia
A few sheer moments, but nothing really freaky.

9. The Sixth Sense
Not very scary, in my opinion. It was more sad :<

8. The Day Earth Stood Still
Had a dramatic, scary feel to it, but..yeah.

7. Jaws
Didn't scare me that much, though it did have it's moments.

6. Monster House
I had some shivers for a day after watching it.

5. Little Shop of Horrors
A singing, talking, man-eating plant? Yeah, that's freaky alright.

4. Cloverfield
I do admit I have shivers, although I feel really bad for the monster D:

3. Orphan
Oui vei x.x

2. The Shining
Here's Johnny!!

1. The Blair Witch Project
I haven't even seen this movie..but my sister has, and if she freaked out, I would freak out.

The Grudge. My mom was watching it and I was like what the heck I'll watch it. Worst mistake of my life lol.

The Mist. I don't know why but it was just creepy.

Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2. Again because of my mom... After watching that I stayed up till like six in the morning XD.

Paranormal Activity. I didn't even watch it all! I was on my comp downstairs when they watched it but I wasn't paying attention, but aparently I was lol.

1.Prom Night- Not the scariest movie ever, and the ending was sort of stupid.
2. Mirrors- Never seen so much blood in a movie before.
3. Cleaner- Didn't watch all of it, I saw the beginning and wanted to vomit.
4. Awake-Not scary, just painful looking, bloody, and disgusting. Guy being aware that his heart is being ripped open while paralyzed.
5. Nightmare on Elm Street- It was just messed up. Absolutely. Messed. Up. (Freddy Kruger D:)
6. The Crazies- This one was also messed up. People going insane and mass chaos.
7. I spit on your grave- Don't watch it......just........don't.

I don't get scared really, just disturbed in some way. The easiest movie to sit through and watch was Prom Night, the one that was just so painful to look at that I didn't even want to watch the rest of was I spit on your grave. Such a messed up movie. It makes you wonder just what all the human brain is capable of creating.

The Thing (1980s version by John Carpenter)

The only movie I could NOT finish, that's how much it scared me. After 40 minutes, I turned off the tv. I will never looked at dogs the same way again. .__.

Insidious. 'nuff said. ._.

Post by: VivaBean on November 01, 2011, 11:27:33 pm
Insidious had some mixed feelings... I liked the beginning...but it seems they were limited with their budget at the end.... So therefore I have to say it was scary to a point.

I've always liked the original Excorsist...

Gothika..

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

The Shining I really have to agree with...that movie was a trip! The boy talking with his finger and what not gives me the chills. Lol when Im in hotels I expect to see twins standing at the end of the hallway xD

Eh...Poltergeist... that was trippy...

Hm actually the scariest thing I have seen isnt even a movie but a new show on the telly....American Horror Story...man its scary and a crazy story. It's one of the shows where you have to watch more into it to put two and two together.

The first "horror" movie I ever saw was Jaws. (Jaws isnt scary but seeing a man get eaten by a shark was to me when i was 3 xD) Next movie that kinda scared me was Signs. Only two parts scared me ._. some that scare me a little now are Poltergeist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Insidous, The Thing (not the new one), and i think it was called Unborn scared me a little. The scariest movie of all time for me... The Spongebob Squarepants Movie... yes. I can never go back in the water again... my surfing days are over...

The book for The Shining was WAY scarier than the movie in my opinion. You want a fright? Go read it!

I don't agree with the person who said paranormal activity. It was SO slow moving, the only part that really made my jump was at the end, because I got bored and was staring off into space then there was a really loud thump XDDDDD

  For me it would be...

Jurassic park when I was much younger.

Most things with Jason Vorhees or Freddy Krueger (Loved the one where they were in it together XDDD)

jeepers creepers freaked me out a little.

  SAW

@Kyugima. (im putting @ cuz i cant quote on my phone xD) I LOVE JURASSIC PARK it scared me when i saw it at a much younger age too. the part where the goat leg falls on the jeep scared me so much xD i lmao at the t-rex eating the guy on the tiolet xD

Jeepers Creepers is one of my favorites, though I thought the second one sucked horribly.

I watched Jurassic Park a lot when I was younger because I loved dinosaurs...

Psycho...

Mmmm.... I was thinking of Silence of the Lambs, but the Hannibal Lecter movies are more of psychological thrillers. I like all of them though. They gave me the creeps.
Title: Re: Top Scariest movies
Post by: Kyugima on November 04, 2011, 03:58:47 am
Silence of the lambs is awesome! But I agree, more thriller than scary really.
Title: Re: Top Scariest movies
Post by: VivaBean on November 04, 2011, 08:52:33 pm
Well it seems now-a-days they are confusing horror movies with thrillers...

Now my favorite kinds of movies has to be zombie movies for sure.
Dawn of the Dead
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later

A lot of people don't like them, but I do, being the zombie nerd that I am.

Wolf Creek was creepy just because it's a real story...
Then the Hills Have Eyes creeped me out cause the story takes place where I live lol.

Mean Creek.... that one is actually a crime/drama but it gets to me cause something like that happened to me in real life. So I react to it like a Horror film. It makes me sick to my stomach lol... But it's a great movie.

xD ikr

Yeah the animation is excellent too. I never got bored at any part, as most horror, thriller, and mystery movies have there boring times, but this just keeps you on edge or begging to see more at all moments. It didn't exactly scar me for life though, maybe thats juts me, some freak scenes are stuck in memory but i really only locked some of those awesome moments in mind, such as the end. lol xD

Mirrors- another weird movie.
Case 38- my favorite scary movie of all time. (Demon children now a days. Always trying to kill people. XP)

Mirrors - I wouldn't look in a mirror for a whole month after watching that.

Windchill - Wasn't all that scary...more like really bizarre so it gave a creepy feeling.

Scream Movies - Not all that freaky just...I didn't want to watch the gory parts

Case 38 - That was...wierd. REALLY weird.

Apollo 13 and 18 - It's not all that scary, but there are some edge-of-the-seat moments that can freak you out.

I'm such a scaredy-cat I know X3

Once again I say, why are people watching these movies when they're under 13? They're rated 15+ and 18+ for a reason :I No wonder kids find them so scary.
Sorry to be sounding like someone's mother XD
Title: Re: Top Scariest movies
Post by: Ingredient on March 03, 2012, 12:32:11 pm
Hmmmm let me think.

I havent seen much but theres one i love but i didnt find scary.

The Grudge 2 (Japanese version) wasnt scary at all but you get nervous wondering whats gonna happen the first time you see it. Im very much wanting to watch the American one the effects are looking much better, theres also more scarier scenes.

Chucky (the first movie) seems scary but i would love to see it. Movies with voodoo dolls are just awesome!

Jaws scared me but i was about 7 when i saw it so i dont remember much.

Human Centipede is just gruesome and frightening (American version). Theres bits when you just feel....a bit sick in the stomach. Im not allowed to watch it again says mum.
Once when i used to go to boarding school me and the other yr 7's (wasnt many of us) we would sneak into the yr 9's rooms and they would let us watch their movies on their laptops when we were supposed to be asleep. Thats how i found out about that movie. Dont go to sleep after watching, believe me on that.

At my age i shouldnt be watching these movies but i find them entertaining, watching in the dark with my friends is most fun. Screaming and hiding behind pillows, looking down the dark hallway scaring eachother by saying "Oh my god something just moved!" the funnest way to watch horror movies.

I miss my friends :'( (off topic imma stop)

Being 13 and watching 18+ movies sounds immature and stupid, call me that all you want i dun care! I force myself to watch them because i love the adrenaline i feel. Hmm dunno if "adrenaline" is the right word, oh well. I never watch them alone though, i always have someone to share the fear with.
