Firstly. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO NATIVE APP of FeralHearts. In simpler terms, there is no Mac client as of yet. It is still in development/being thought about. So dont go looking for the mac version. It doesn't exist.
1. Download FeralHeart (straight forward)
2. Download Crossover: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxgames/download_trial/ (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxgames/download_trial/)
There is a trial version available. I have the full version. Its a cheap, but very impressive application. If you don't want to pay for it, you can always try and be sneaky and download it from somewhere. Thats up to your own discretion. You could also try WINE. here is a very handy tutorial http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/ (http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/) on how to install and use wine. However, you have to be rather skilled in using and understanding the terminal. Crossover makes things a hell of a lot easier.
3. Once you have your FeralHeart file downloaded, open up crossover games.
From the menu you will click Configure > Install Software
In the first part you will click "other application"
In the second part locate your installer. In this case FHsetup.exe
Create a new winxp bottle. Name it whatever you want. I called mine Feralheart.
Then press proceed.
Crossover will start to make things happen. Soon enough the FeralHeart installer will pop up. Just flick through that. Press Next. yes. Whatever. Just agree to it all :)
4. Now that it is completed. In your menu, Press Programs (FeralHeart, or, whatever you called your bottle) and open up the program. it should run as normal. And
THERE WE GO!

KNOWN GLITCHES
Both Razmirz and I have issues with the background music. its rather glitchy and funny. I dont know how to fix that. Just mute the background music and slap on some itunes. C:
I hope this has helped. Let me know if you come across any issues. Ill try and work on a WINE tutorial soon.

Wrong thread for this, but that's currently not known. As far as I know, the server is having trouble keeping up with all the people who want to play, and Kovu's trying to fix it. It'll be up when it's up. ^^

anyone got something for PowerPC macs? coz my computer sucks like that? 8D;;; for uhm.. 10.4...
I can't run crossovers or WINE.... ._. wine being intel only and crossovers is too advanced. lolz...

PowerPC (ppc) is completely different computer type than Intel (aka x86, ia32, i386, x86_64, x64, amd64, em64t). Programs designed for one computer architecture can not be run on other computers :(
Some programs for Mac can work both on ppc and x86, but this is a trick. They are two actual programs for different computers, hidden in one file.
FeralHeart is written for x86, since there is no Windows for other computer types. Unfortunately you can't run it on ppc :(

ok one thing i have a "TOSHIBA" and is there any tips to get the game up and running on my computer because ive been waiting a long time for this game and no i cant get on so any thing u have that will work? :P ;D :D ;)

What do you mean? You have a "Toshiba" laptop running OS X? Is that possible? Or it has some strange operating system like Solaris?

Nope. You just need to wait for the servers like the rest of us... In the meantime, why not make super awesome maps?? :D Or design your charries, or possibly, like me, write detailed histories and bios for them (sad i know :P )

I've heard about camatasia. But I don't know if it costs money. There's also something called screenflow (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/screenflow.html).
I have no experiences in how well these work though.

Wondering if this is because I'm using CrossOver...
I can connect to the server just fine, but the game freezes at the "Loading" screen. D:

Well, FH was working flawlessly for me until this new patch. Now it crashes all the time and I can't get into map maker. I'm using crossover and crossover games.

I have wine but the game crashes every few minuets, is there a way to fix that?

Well, you can always turn off reflections and distance. But try not ta change the thing from OpenLG to Direct3D9 Cause it messed up my game.

I have a Mac, it works pretty good on mine, but it crashes a lot. Any Advice? I really want to play without dealing that that. :C

You mean it lags, or something like that? Have you tried switching rendering systems?

it says crossover games cannot open because it is not supported on this architerture?

No Sarine, it doesn't lag. it just crashes. changing the graphics and rendering doesn't help.

So I got FH to work on my Mac with Wine, it was pretty easy. But now there's some Patch that I have to download?? and I don't know what to do... help?
I tried to download and instaill it but it won't work..

Actually, never mind that. I figured it out myself...
but if anyone else is wondering, it's really easy. Open Crossover and go to Programs > Run Command.
Run the patch and it will open the FH setup wizard, prompting you to instal FH again. What is actually does is patch the game, and you're good to go! :D

So I log in, and up comes a black screen with two buttons- "create" and "back". Selecting back works fine, but when I select create ( I am assuming that moves you into the stage of designing a Feline/Canine) It immediately shuts down and crashes. Sorry, but this was the closest Topic I saw-- can anyone help?

hi i have downloaded FH on my imac using fusion and stuff but im having trouble with hotkeys because on imac the keys from F1 - F4 are meant to change camera on FH but they also mean stuff on the mac so i cant make the camera move about is there anyway around this?

I have the same problem on my computer, but it's pretty easy to fix...
When you start up FH, instead of logging in click "options" (you can do this ingame too by pressing esc). There will be four tabs, and the last one will be your game controls. Go there and you can rearrange all the buttons you use ingame :)

There is a button on the left hand side, underneath shift called "fn"
Press it, and then the F keys. This makes them work as they woukd in windows.

I have downloaded FH on my mac and it works perfectly (besides the music :P) But one thing, the Folders for making Presets and Maps is not there.
Has anyone noticed this yet?

There was no way I would've been able to install FH without your help. With this kind of thing, I usually give up right away. Too much trouble, and I'm way too cautious with what I download. xD

While running through CrossOver, the game keeps crashing.
It doesn't seem to crash in the canine/feline "Create" session, but during actual gameplay it only lasts about five minutes.

Alright, I've followed the instructions and everything has worked out perfectly until I get to the log-in screen. I get the "Unable to connect to Front Server" error. I saw this same problem this afternoon when the sever was down, but I am still able to play on my PC currently..
So is there something I can tweak to fix this? Or is it a lost cause? xD
Got passed this roadblock with a little tampering. However, now I just freeze up on the loading screen. Any ideas?

I have a mac with wine and I installed the mac version and the windows setup version... when I try to log in, it says "Download latest patch at www.feral-heart.com (http://www.feral-heart.com)" Uh, how do I fix that?

I think there is already an apple version. But when I open it, it says "Feralheart file not found!" or something along the lines of that... Do you think you could help me? I really wanna play FH, but my Apple doesn't work, and on my really old Dell, the colors are all messed up. I hope you can help! :D

I used Crossover and it works great but how can you download the maps onto the FH crossover? Like i know how to download maps, but how do you get them to work? Like i know how to normally do it but this doesn't have any FH folders or anything.

If I'm not completely mistaken Crossover works similar to Wine?
You will install maps just like you would install them to a windows computer, but "you" would need to go into the crossover directories where you installed FH itself.
Crossover should just work as a middlestep between the mac and the "imaginary" windows portion.

every time i try to play it on my mac(after the update)it freezes....goes with all maps....no matter what i do i can't get back into the game,last time the icon on my dock said WARNING AY.3(something)i looked in the log cause it came up it said Buffering size is 0.I went to the help room on here someone said Close it down.Close it all down!I don't know what to do. Feral hearts works with ubuntu it's my operating system which is ubuntu but i run on a compaq computer i have soemthing called wine is that what your talking about it's program runner it can run feral hearts installer but the direct x doesn't download with it. the game still runs though.
