Title: Feral heart shutting down

Ok so im making a map pack for my friends and maybe a rp But suddenly Feral heart Wont Let me add terrians ....?!?!?! When i try to add a terrain It shuts down and that box comes up saying  " Feral Heart Has Stopped Working " This is very important so could someone please help me

Hey, my laptop battery was empty and my laptop shut down. When I turned it back on, I could not log into FH. It keeps saying, can't connect to front server. I don't know if its because of the weather we are having lately, I'll let you know if I find anything about your or my problems :)

I had the exact same problem .
For me the height and width had to be 513x513
Then I had to create and save the map before I entered the Terrain and Mask files .
Make sure that the terrain is in grayscale not RGB color .
The last is only used for Masks .

Terrain heightmaps can not be in layers, must be 1 layer only so make sure you flatten/merge the visable layers.

If you still have problems save the heightmap, save it as a jpeg image, load the jpeg image, then save the jpeg as .png again.

Try to load the new png in the map maker, and also remember to add .png after the name in the map maker. "mapnameterrain.png".

Are you using GIMP for the terrain? You must make the terrain Grayscale or else the game will crash Paint.NET cannot make height maps   
Make sure you blur the terrain or else it can come in STEPS Literately  STEPS and steps is not good it kinda makes the map ugly

This thread was made back in 2011, therefore the creator is mostly no longer experiencing this issue and/or is even active on FeralHeart anymore. Please don't necro old threads. A staff member can lock this.
