Title: List of possible species in FH (Update - 24.3.10)

Thanks for all the support and ideas for the list! You guys are great!

Updates (24.3.10):
-added Serval, American Cheetah and Painted wolf

After seeing Slys Species list (http://some-art.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d36rjbx) I thought it might be a good idea to add even more to that List. With Piccys of course.

Great list! This is very useful ^_^ I'm giving some thought to creating a bear character now.

I'd like to point out though that hyenas aren't technically canines. They're more closely related to felines than canines, but even that is not entirely correct. Although they share both feline and canine characteristics, they're more closely related to the mongoose family than either felines or canines. The correct classification for hyenas is "Hyaenidae."

True! I totally forgot D: I just put them in Canidae because I read through all the markings... I will change that as soon as possible! Thanks for pointing that out X3
Plus, I will see if I can add another Hyeana type to the list, with piccy of course. The more, the merrier~

I can foresee this thread being very, very useful as it continues to grow. It'll help people make more accurate representations of the animals they want to roleplay.

Aaaaannnnnnd.... does anyone else think we should get mor fur textures to choose from? Both canine and feline have default ones, but I'd love to choose between long fur, short fur... perhaps curly fur... just an idea that I had...

Finally updated! Sorry I had to change the Serval a bit. I seen a piccy with them having long tails. And who would've known they are tamable o_o

Also, aren't American cheetahs in a story named "Rathas creature"? I do think I remember them from there as well. America really had prehistoric cheetahs, which is kinda cool!

I got a request here from someone, about another species: Eastern dragon.
Long I looked at the screenies that were sent to me, and actually, I kinda like the idea. I would love to see what you guys think about it.

I made a raccoon =3   By the way, I have the Feralistic patch but just replaced the canine texture with the original version of the file, as most of my canines are pretty light in color and didn't agree well with the feralistic's texture, beautiful as it is.

Markings used were Dalmation (head)  Siamese (body) and Siamese (tail)

I've got myself a Dogo Argentino and a Corgi on FH, if people would like screenshots of these two, I'll be happy to provide. The Dogo looks a bit odd, since there are no heavy muzzles or really thin tails available and the wolf pelt doesn't sit too good on him, but all in all, i managed the cropped ears alright.
Corgi just looks odd because you can't "dwarf" the animal properly but oh well x3

I also tried to make badgers, and after experimenting with both the canine and feline I decided that the feline better gave the bulk that a badger needs, as well as better ears.

I use the canine with siamese and mask markings to make a raccoon. :) It looks really cool. Mine is called Spazcoon.

So, I made a raccoon as well, but he's based off my fursona who has brown fur and black hand and foot wraps, so it's not an exact transition, but it works! people know I'm a raccoon without me having to tell them :)

Can you atleast try to make a horse?Alot of people play as horses and thats kinda dosen look like one,and what about fantasy animals like dragons?

The feline list needs the tion :3 It's similar to liger but: Liger= lion father and tiger mother, while Tion: Tiger father and lion mother.

Not sure if presets count, but I made a Panda preset that could be added to the list. A little editing goes a long way!  :3

I think it would be interesting to be able to make fatter characters (bigger belly) for example pumas and common cats has a different proportion than other felines, they bigger bellies, also the bears that wher mentioned.
an also wider nose or/and cheecks, could add a lot of variation in characters, although I know that it would spend much more data in character creation than what it does now

Cool! But about the tiger: White tigers NEVER have yellow eyes, except having both orange and white colors on their coat. White tigers have blue eyes, apart from other tigers. Snow leopards have the same thing. I just looked at the pictures and saw that little mistake. No offense.

I'm hoping that there will be more variation in the detail of the character so it will truly be you very own variant. But I'd also love to see more emotes and actions but that's just my opinion.

Dragons, Gryphons, Birds, Pheonixes, Bats, and Domestic Cats should be added, wings have caused an out break  of new species.

Love this list! It's good to know that with a little imagination, one can make a wide variety of credible creatures with just the canine and feline models (would still like to see new 'official' animal models in the future, though).

Those item and mass marking packs come in handy too. I've even made some decent-looking deer characters (with actual antlers!)
