Title: Meshes.
Post by: Djami on November 11, 2011, 09:36:18 am
I hope someone can help me with this, I have a few questions:

1: When I download a .rar file, how can I convert it and what do I convert it to to make it work on FeralHeart?
2: When I try to download meshes from this website: http://wombat.worldforge.org/dir?path=3d_objects (http://wombat.worldforge.org/dir?path=3d_objects) , how can I make the textures and stuff for the animals work? I learned that you should have a .mesh and a .material file for each mesh you want to make, can someone explain to me how I can do that?

How do you even download the objects?

Click the link and start the download. Read the tutorial i made on how to bring them onto the game. Its 7-zip but its the same thing even with using WinRar.

To use meshes from wombat, you need to download the mesh file, then search for his texture image, and then download or create a material for the image.
when you have the mesh with material, and the texture image, you can load the mesh at object maker and then assign the material manually to the mesh.
Is a bit complicated for people without experience in Ogre3D meshes.
